staff were a bit rude eg asking me if I really stayed at this hotel (as if I didn’t have a certain look) and similar comments.

The botones Giancarlo was extremely helpful and the hotel staff was very friendly.
I couldn't use the stairs but that's one of my issues with avoiding elevators. Even with it, they were very understanding and accompanied me in the elevator.
