Great place in the middle of San Gimignano! The room is located in a quiet side street with a view into the backyard. The room was clean and great for a short stay. We parked for free outside San Gimignano close to a school within a 10min walk from the center, but could load off our luggage at the place with the help of the host who kindly drove in front of us through the narrow streets of the town.

We arrived late because of the luggage delay, but our host was eager to meet us at the old town entrance to show us how to drive to the property. There is no parking inside the walls of old town, so we had to unload the luggage at the apartment, and then move our car to the public parking, just outside the city walls (15 minutes easy walk from there, there is a lift to shorten the climb). The same procedure for leaving. It differs a lot from other old towns, where you have to drag your suitcases from the distant parking through cobbled lines. The location is about 5-10 minutes walk from every attraction, The house is very old, walls are maybe meter thick. Nice touch - we were presented with a bottle of pretty nice local wine, which definitely removed all grudges from airport luggage discomfort.

Ceiling was low for me, I've bumped my head occasionally. Our host was 10 cm taller than me, hope he is more careful.

The host was friendly (and even brought us complimentary local wine), however he barely understood a sentence in English. The location is great, close to the center but not noisy.

They advertised "air-conditioning in rooms" (plural) but had a/c only in one of the two rooms (they did bring us a standing fan). Still, in August it was too hot and we couldn't open the windows (without nets) because of the mosquitoes. The apartment was NOT clean, the kitchen dirty and facilities old and worn out. The toilet barely flushed. We had to use force to flush it and often it just didn't flush. The doors wouldn't shut all the way, including the bathroom door which was very unpleasant.

The apartment / room is very basic equipped and unsuitable for disabled people. The mini-fridge doesn't work, the pull-out bed is uncomfortable. The apartment is in the city center, free parking is available 10-15 minutes from the apartment.
