Spacious and spotlessly clean
Just a bit tired, mattress was good but could benefit from a topper as some springs were a bit poky

Air of yesterday - nice gardens surround- exuded peaceful
It was a long weekend, Easter, and despite checking we did not find out if Restaurant was open. Not open is ok, I get it’s a risk, but when we asked relieving manager he could not suggest where we could go. I also get that but maybe a list for such occasions could help?

Large room, close to town. Dinner in the restaurant first class.

Convenient location, great having endless shower gel, hand cream etc in the bathroom.
Absolutely filthy carpet and stained couch. Old mouldy cornflakes left in the tea/coffee making area from previous guests. Once pointed out to the cleaners they really upped their game and cleaned up properly. Very cramped parking not suitable for the huge tanks some people insist on driving.

The facility is old and tired, needing a refurb. Room was decent sized and had a sofa which was nice. Adjacent undercover parking was good.

Friendly staff, room had everything I needed, good bed, clean and reasonably contemporary in style. Good size with a small lounge and a table with 2 chairs. Was roomy and had bar fridge, toaster, kettle and micro and a wall mounted TV. More than I had expected for the price in a good location.
Hot Water was very good and hot but the pressure wasn't so that was a bit disappointing and shower could use a bit of mould killer as grout was discoloured just enough to be more noticeable than it should've been.

Decent tea/coffee/milk/biscuit supply in the room. Great value breakfast pack. Good hot shower! Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Air conditioner was a bit rattly and woke me up cutting in and out.

Nothing. A below average motel
The whole guest experience was far below what we expected. Why is called Cotswold Gardens there are no gardens visible. Recently changed ownership which might explain some deficiencies. No cooked breakfast available and what was being offered consisted of cereal, toast and cold coffee. A staff member told us that next week the restaurant will not open for breakfast. This will be brought to your room which is about the size of a prison cell with an ensuite. There are much better motels in Armidale and there’s a Rydges just over the road literally opposite this very dreary place. If things don’t improve dramatically I there’s going to be one less motel in Armidale.

The owner was absolutely delightful - nothing was too much trouble.
The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, quiet location and good parking

The two seater lounge was a plus. The room was set well back off the road. The bed had electric blankets.
One side of the queen bed electric blanket was not working. The slate tiles in entry.

Comfortable room, quiet and Hotel is in a good position to easily access areas of town.

Good sized, well laid out motel room. The sofa was comfortable. The motel was quiet inside, but very convenient to the night spots we were visiting on the night of our stay.
