Wenig rein pflanzliche Alternativen zum sonst reichhaltigen und sehr guten Frühstücksangebot. Auf Nachfrage wurde aber prompt und freundlich reagiert und Margarine bereitgestellt.

Mit der Gästekarte hat man die freie Nutzung der Fähre, Bus und Bahn. Die Gegend ist einfach herrlich. Und kulturelle Highlights sind auch ringsum vorhanden.

Das Hotel liegt zentral in Wehlen direkt Marktplatz. Trotz der zentralen Lage war es sehr ruhig. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Wir hatten eine kleine Terrasse und auch die Nutzung einer gemeinschaftlichen überdachten Terrasse war möglich. Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir vom Inhaber sehr herzlich begrüßt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Besonders zu erwähnen sind die zahlreichen selbstgemachten Marmeladen, die es auch zum Frühstück gab. Es ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Der Inhaber hat uns sehr schöne Routen vorgeschlagen und einige hilfreiche Tipps gegeben. Auch der Schiffsanleger an der Elbe ist nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Von dort kann man ebenfalls mit dem Schiff Ausflüge machen. Das Auto benötigt man so gut wie nicht. Wenn man im Ort abends essen gehen möchte, muss man sich beeilen, da die Restaurants zum Teil bereits um 20 Uhr Küchenschluss haben und zeitig schließen.

Es gibt absolut nichts auszusetzen.

A charming little hotel at the central square of Wehlen, the location couldn't be better, you can find pretty much everything the town has offer just around the corner. The train station is on the other side of the Elbe, but there is an excellent ferry service that gets you over the river in 2 min, there is practically no waiting time as the service is "on demand", and once you get off the ferry, the hotel is just another 2 min walk away. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, you can see that they love what they are doing. The breakfast had an incredible variety of some really creative homemade marmalades, four days weren't enough for us to try them all. Our room had a spacious bathroom and a large terrace.

Our room was directly overlooking the shared terrace, which didn't help with the privacy, we basically couldn't open the windows or even pull the curtains open on that side of the room during the day. Plus obviously there was a fair amount of noise from the guests using the terrace as well.

Everything was great, a big room, modern bathroom, comfy bed. We got a nice variety of homemade jams for breakfast, interesting salads we've never seen before. The location is great for hiking routes and also not far from Dresden (30min drive). The owner was very welcoming and provided very nice tips on local sights and hikes.

The TV seemed rather small for the room of that size.

Frank, at the reception, was great. Very friendly, enthusiastic about the area and where to eat, and helpful with arranging things that we needed.

Very cozy and nice place. Perfectly located, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was alright, the stuff who runs the place were really helpful and pleasant.

There is no good restaurants around the place, especially if you’d like to get a supper in a pleasant atmosphere: the nearest one (which doesn’t look like a canteen on the road in the middle of nowhere) is on the other side of the river; the nearest one with a tasty food and without smell of fried fat is in Rathen. That’s however not the foult of the hotel, of course, just a piece of advice.
