It's a fairly basic hostel with a well stocked kitchen and decent WiFi. Showers are hot. Staff are a bit hit and miss.
The rooms could do with a bit more to help guests - some plug sockets, hooks for towels, and larger lockers or somewhere to put your things. Bunk beds are a bit wobbly. There might be better options if the budget can stretch.

- there is a common kitchen where you can cook
-wifi works well
- The place is dirty.
- when you arrive the owner will tell you you need to pay extra 12-15 dollars on top of the price in Booking for unclear reasons. He will offer to cancel your stay and then you can pay the price listed in booking.
- somehow the whole place is like a wooden shed which means you can hear every single noise
- Only cash payments

upon check-in, we were told that the price had changed and instead of $15 they charged us $24. they said that there was an error on bookin.com. be careful you can be deceived! showers dirty, no towels. I do not advise

I didn’t get what I thought I booked for. I booked for a room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, but got 4 single beds (2 bunk beds), and it was supposed to have a private bathroom. so I’m not sure what happened there, but it was clean and the people were nice.

the staff was very helpful and the guests were super nice. very simple stay but alright
you rather stay at someone’s house (rooms in the second floor) than in a hostel. that is authentic, but not really what you expect.

Christian has had this place for only two years so it is a work in progress. He is wonderful and is very attentive to whatever you ask him. IT HAS: Security 24/7, WiFi, hot water, warm rooms, comfortable beds a kitchen and reasonable prices. Supermarket 10 minutes away and 10 minutes to downtown.
As I wrote it is work in progress.

Actually stayed at the Chiloe, which was a 5 minute walk away. Location was adequate and the host was helpful.
Patagonia house was overbooked, so I was transferred as I showed up, having to walk to the next place (Chiloe).
The private room was separated from the bathroom, and nothing was in place to prevent others from using it (which did happen). The room fee was in USD (cash only) and the host had an issue nearly ever bill, which I had never experienced before.

wifi was very good and the staff were friendly
curtains were pointless, constant sun but also because the rules were very relaxed had people turning on lights at midnight.

Cheap and cheerful. We were there out of season so the place was quiet. Lovely and clean bedding. Would stay again.
Expect the communal areas to look like a well lived in hostel. We didn’t mind this at all.

The place was just run down. Mattresses, linens, blankets, pillows all need to be replaced. Carpet was filthy. All the furniture was worn out and needs to be replaced. Chairs and sofas obviously had no springs left in the seats.
9.0
The cosy and friendly atmosphere of this wonderful hostal.
4.0
The hostal got a good location and the host is very very kind, but the place is not comfortable at all and you don't feel in the place. I don't know exactly how to describe it but it is like a wreckage or a slum or okupa building. Poor cleaning.
10.0
The location is really good, downtown is close and there are many things on a walking distance. Also, the hostel has a very useful map which shows you anything you'd need, such as grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.
6.7
Great staff and really welcoming. Lots of kitchen facilities to use
Slightly run down and didn’t feel clean. Fine for a one night stop over

The hostel is quite far from the central part, but walking doesn't take that long.
