It was very close to where we were attending a wedding so made everything very easy.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very powerful.
The lady who served us for breakfast was really helpful, all staff were friendly.
A little road noise from M5, possibly only because we had the window open.
We didn’t get the family room we booked.

Nice big room
Scam of a massive bed, it was two beds put together and the gap was very noticeably wile sleeping

Perfect for what we needed, excellent service.no noise disturbance from the pub below. Friendly welcome from owners and locals!!
Initially I wasn't keen on the check in being at the end of the bar but that's more my issue than the pubs...long trip down...not always feeling social afterwards...

All the staff were extremely helpful, they had bought dairy free milk and spread for my dairy allergic granddaughter and the menu was adjusted to ensure she had reasonable food choices. Inspirational for other hotels.
All the rooms were comfortable and the beds were excellent.
Room 12 bathroom toilet was not conveniently positioned.
Apart from this all the rooms we very comfortable.

Food was fine
I was made to pay again for breakfast even though it had been pre-paid by phone and credit card. The manager did not issue a receipt so cannot get recompense nor VAT reimbursed. Neither did an invoice for the stay be provided as was promised at booking so VAT cannot be reclaimed. I cannot call the hotel direct as phone number always reverts to Marston Central booking who are polite but obviously don't communicate with managers.

The food that we had was very good. We didnt have breakfast as we are not used to having breakfast.
The room was good with plenty of lighting
The only thing that let the room down a little bit was only one chair in the room, so when theres 2 people to a room, one has to sit on the bed which wasn't so comfortable. The shower door that opens up against the wash hand basin was a bit of a squeeze, unless you are a skinny person !!

They didn't even provide soap. The soap holder was empty on arrival.

Lovely clean room and ensuite. King sized bed, which was clean and very comfy. The breakfast was quickly delivered in the charming restaurant, as was our delicious evening meal. Staff friendly and welcoming. Good, big car park which was well lit. There is outdoor seating, dog friendly - loved that there were free doggy biscuits on the bar, and many birds in the surrounding hedges. Close to the motorway exit, this was a good choice for where we were visiting. Charming building inside and out.
No problems for us. Lovely place to stay, and we would stay there again.

Warm, friendly atmosphere and very attentive and helpful staff. Particular thanks go to Harry, as nothing seemed to much trouble. Highly recommended for a meal and/or stay.

Room was spacious and clean. Bar and food was excellent. Staff were very professional and friendly. Good location. Couldn't fault it.
Nothing I can think of really. Not much room between the toilet and shower, but I'm a big guy. No issues though.

Good location, food was great staff were very helpful. Lots of car park space
Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. Tower rail was situated beside the toilet and wasn't cleaned. Few bugs and spider going in and out the vent.

Without fail, all the staff we met the first evening, were all friendly.
The room was actually pretty clean, and the bathroom was spotless.
We had a drink in the bar that evening, and it was fairly good, and good for the price.
Car park was free, and plenty of spaces.
Reception was confusing, as it's a pub!
Upon first walking into our room, it was flipping hot. A fan had been provided, and was badly needed. The room was not air-conditioned, although I don't believe it was claimed to be. However, the sun at that time of the evening was pouring straight into the room so it was very warm, and the snag was, if you opened the windows, the noise from the trucks and cars roaring past under them was pretty loud. Unfortunate paradox.
It's a little weird walking through the pub with your bags, but not really too much hassle.
Our dissatisfaction mainly stemmed from the morning.
We made our way to a table for breakfast and the first table we tried to sit at my wife put her hand into some sticky mess left on it. That was not pleasant and she went to find somewhere to wash her hands.
Meanwhile, I looked for staff. There was no one for a few minutes. I saw 2 couples get up and leave and one of the ladies told me to shout into the kitchen for service, which I did but nothing happened. My wife helped herself to a packet of cornflakes, nestled amongst the dirty glasses and one "juice" that may have been. There were 2 or 3 pain au chocolate and croissants, but I didn't try them as they didn't look nicely presented at all. That appeared to be it for the "continental breakfast".
As I was the one who had booked the hotel and was desperately trying to put a positive spin on things, I went again to try and find someone and did meet up with a friendly chap. We gave our order for "cooked" breakfasts and I asked him about where the coffee was.
I did not expect, in a hotel costing nearly £100, in the year 2022, to have pointed out a flask of hot water and some grotty half damp coffee granules in a small bowl as the coffee offering. I nearly laughed, and that's when I realised it was all going to pot.
The breakfasts arrived and I saw at once it was pretty dubious looking.
