La cosa più bella è la posizione: nella parte più alta del rione Castello con, ciliegina sulla torta, un piccolo terrazzo da cui abbiamo goduto una vista spettacolare sulla città.
La nostra camera era piuttosto carina, molto spaziosa e abbastanza originale, con una grande e altissima finestra...
Da segnalare che nonostante fossimo in zona ZTL, non è stato difficile trovare parcheggio nel comodo e abbastanza vicino viale Buon Cammino.
Beh, la struttura non è nuovissima (la doccia, per es., non scaricava bene), ma soprattutto abbiamo avuto qualche piccolo problemino iniziale (inverter, luce del bagno) prontamente risolto dalla sempre gentilissima Roberta.

Location is perfect in the centre and top of old city, it has a top roof with magnificent views over the port, room was cleaned daily, very large room K4 with comfortable bed and wonderful wood floors

The location of the property was great for the places I wanted to explore in Cagliari. The bed was extremely comfortable, which helped me rest up well after a long day of travel. And finally, I really enjoyed my morning coffee in the room.
Roberta, the host, was extremely helpful and was quick to respond to any of the questions I had. Thank you so much!

The location was great, however make sure you get advice on the lifts around the old city. We had no idea and discovered the lifts later walking up the hill all the time.
We stayed in room number 1. The room was very cosy and omg the bed was so comfortable!! Good selection of teas and coffee in the room. Lovely sitting area on the roof. The self check-in was very well explained by Roberta. She was very helpful in anything we needed. It made us feel very well looked after.
Many people have complained in their reviews about breakfast, that it is just a croissant and a coffee. The cafes don't have just croissants to choose from and it was actually nice having breakfast in a local cafeteria. Pablo cafe has amazing terrace with great views!
There was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands, only shower gel. No big deal though as we had ours.

What a beautiful, comfortable, clean, tranquil, and central place to stay at in Cagliari.

Espresso machine, kettle, cups, and saucers, mini fridge, and even a hair dryer in the larger than normal hotel room..
Right in the heart of the beautiful, historic Castelllo, and just a few meters away from the carhedral of Santa Maria, palaces, and museums.
A short 10 minutes walk will take you to the world famous Bastione di Saint Remy, were there is a lift which will take you lower to down town Cagliari, were all the shops, restaurants, and bars are situated.
I will definitely return to Residenza Kastrum.

Superb central location in the old, high, town. The stay has breakfast included in two bar-cafes of choice and we choose the one with a small and cosy terrace. The bed has a hard mattress which I like. The room (K.2) has good light. We liked the walk-in-wardrobe to hang clothes and leave suit-cases. We slept peacefully with the window open and hardly any street noise.
We also liked we could boil water for our own tea.
You're supposed to be out from 10-12 AM to allow cleaning. Hardly a bad thing though: the lady was cleaning another room while we changed clothes in 10 minutes.
Parking your car is an 'adventure'. The nearby parking lot is almost always full. Also this is hardly a bad thing about this place: we parked in Parcheggio Regina Elena (€8 per night) upon instructions of the lady. Her tips brought us to two elevators leaving us 100 meters or less from the front door.

We liked many things.The mantra ‘ location, location, location’ that applies to buying one’ s own property applies equally to renting property on holiday and Residenza Kastrum comfortably meets this criterion. The property is situated not far inside the medieval walls of old Cagliari and from its rooftop terrace one has a panoramic view of the city and port below. Conveniently, the Residenza is easily reached by the very regular no.8 bus which stops close to the nearest old gated entrance to the citadel and which has its terminus at the bus station right beside the main train station in Cagliari , making it very accessible for anyone arriving by air. The Kastrum itself is a lovely old building, with elegant rooms beautifully modernised and its stone walls provide a very peaceful , secure and quiet environment. The rooms we stayed in had good air-conditioning as well as tea- and coffee- making facilities and a mini- fridge, very welcome facilities not often present in more expensive accommodation. Once ensconced there, one can easily stroll around the immediate historic area or take a pleasant downhill walk to the shopping and restaurant districts below. All-in -all, Residenza Kastrum provides excellent accommodation in an ideal location . And last but certainly not least, the charming host , Roberta, is most helpful and responsive to any issues or queries guests may have. Highly recommended! Frederick, Dublin, Ireland.
