everything, the setting, rooms, location, delicious food, friendly hosts, good music. there is a breakfast included in the price of the room even though in the reservation it didn’t apprar to be. A very special place!

The restaurant, bar and guest rooms, all based on a Tarzan theme, were very thoroughly and well constructed - and there were so many interesting things to look at. The owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Note that contrary to what Booking.com says, breakfast IS apparently included in the price. Unfortunately we didn't discover this until we were leaving and so missed out!

Although it was an amazing place visually, based on a Tarzan theme, it didn't always work out to be practical. For example, a loosely constructed bamboo screen dividing off the toilet and bathroom area looked nice but didn't provide as much privacy as a wall, and a simple bamboo pipe didn't provide as good a shower as a proper shower head. Actually there was no hot water on tap - it was necessary to request a bucket of hot water each time one wanted to wash. The location was ok, although most of the better shops, cafes and restaurants were the other side of town, about 15-20 minutes' walk away where there there seem to be many other hotels with more facilities and very much cheaper prices. There was loud music from the bar most of the afternoon and evening.
