Great location, walking distance to town, beautiful cottage & great value. It's really peaceful & quiet, feels very private. Loved sitting out on the little verandah overlooking the garden. Especially love all the shops in Nannup - the soap shop, Nanna's Kitchen, Oma's chocolate and the bakery are worth checking out. Book ahead for dinner at Nannup Brewing Co - great burgers & local craft beers overlooking a beautiful park/garden.

The location was brilliant. Lovely and quiet, the cottage was lovely, beautifully appointed and very clean. Parking was provided and WiFi was adequate for our needs, would love to stay again!

Our accommodation was situated in amongst tall trees, away from other lodges. The environment was peaceful and quiet, beautiful.
Birds chirping and white butterflies everywhere. The sound of trees swaying in the wind, and the outdoor kitchen area.
Nannup is a lovely little town the community are friendly, and very obliging, cool really cool.
The hostess Sue was very pleasant and friendly,. Nice really, we enjoyed our stay👍💛.
Can't say I didn't like anything, it's country, everything about it was NATURE!

I liked the town and location
I was greeted by a dog that bailed me up i was told it was my fault because i turned around too fast. One shared toilet by 9 guests. Owner walked right by us by not talking, zero people skills...

The lady who checked us in, Sue, was lovely and very helpful and welcoming. The safari tent was beautiful, set in a tranquil garden and had absaloutely everything we needed!

The owner Sue, was friendly, informative, and gave us a lift to Barrabup pool when she/we realised there would be no bike hire available

I loved everything about the property, I loved that the cabin was in the trees, and you could see all the wildlife. we saw possums, birds and frogs :)

Location was superb and close to the shops, it is located in bush which was a bonus - who doesn't like waking up to the sound of nature and wildlife.

Another fabulous stay at black cockatoo! Was running long events at the Pemby trail fest over 3 days. Black cockatoo was a very comfortable base to come back to and rest in the night and recuperate. Also kept the rest of the non-runners in our family happy from the oldies to the little ones. Right on the edge of town (walking distance) to cafes, Main Street etc. comfortable and adequate cooking facilities for those of us who preferred to make our own food.
Just the most adorable, peaceful place. Amazing value. All the family were happy.
Couldn’t complain about anything. Network appears to be spotty in Nannup for some networks and this extends to the property wifi, however this is not a property flaw.

Great location, very clean. Main bed was very comfortable. Loved heated towel racks👌, will book in again for sure 😄.

Great location surrounded by nature. Just what we needed. Everything is a few streets away easy walk. We shared the cottage which has self contained kitchen, separate queen bed and bathroom.

Great location (walking distance to everything in town) and hosts. The lodge had everything we needed for a more than comfortable stay (including bug spray and coils).
Places to sit and relax inside and out.
Wonderful grounds.
Host allowed us to park our motorbike with his.

I liked waking up and being in nature
The very noisy neighbours. (Kids yelling)The fact that the tent was not far from the road, I thought it would be surrounded by nature.

We traveled to Nannup for 5 days and have just returned. Nannup is one of our favourite towns to stay and The Black Cockatoo ticks all the boxes for us. 5 minute walk to the main centre but retains its quiet and peaceful atmosphere. With lovely gardens and trees, unique accommodation, it is a lovely break away from the city. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Black Cockatoo and will be hoping to return. Thank you Sue and Derek.
