the host was so unprofessional,we waited for more than an hour for the keys.then she wasn’t answering my calls or messages.we felt stranded.managed to get hold of the other partner and he assisted us.it was an extremely bad experience with dealing the host.i even missed my appointment I had in Durban coz we waited so long for the keys.and when the guy finally brought it,the apartment wasn’t ready.it was a hot night,the ac in the rooms weren’t working and the bed in the main room was so small.i had to sleep on the sofa.very bad experience for that price for the apartment.i will never stay there again

It was awful. Firstly we couldn’t find the place because it’s not accurately described. It’s not called gateway apartments but something else. When we called the number a lady answered and made us wait 20 mins before she came to take us up. We got up to the apartment at 2:45 and they were still cleaning from the guests the night before (she didn’t finish cleaning until 4:45!) as the beds were stripped we could see how filthy and stained the inner duvets were!! It was disgusting. The lady then told us the aircon doesn’t work and the rooms were so small, hot and stuffy that one of us slept on the couch. When we went to shower the towels hanging in the bathroom were soaking wet! When we did our laundry later on we realised why…the dryer made such a loud noise I’m sure the whole block heard it! Shocking place, terrible service! Would not recommend!

Filthy apartment. No wifi. No data. Apartment dirty on arrival. They took a cash deposit. Never sent a cleaner after the complaint. There was left over food in the fridge. Hair on 5he floor from a previous guest
