My adult daughter and I had a wonderful 3-day stay at Betsy's place, well beyond our expectations. The hosts were extremely helpful in resolving an issue w/ our VRBO booking, accommodating a last-minute change in our schedule, and, in general, making sure our stay was as relaxing and enjoyable as possible from start to finish. Everything about the property was perfect for our needs, the guest house was spacious with lots of character and personal touches. And the beautiful pool area and spa, along with the amazing view, gave us the feeling of having our own private resort. It was, hands down, one of the best vacation rental experiences we've had. We'll be back!

Our stay at Sunset Hills Ranch was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, Charlotte went above and beyond to make sure that we had more than we needed. Her friendliness and generosity really stand out in a world where that’s often not the norm. The house was clean, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed. We stayed in and cooked several meals there and also ate at Cavana’s at Charlotte’s recommendation and that was tasty too. The pictures of the pool and the view don’t do it justice. The home and the canyon are so beautiful! Everything worked great and we made use of the fire table too, staying out there late into the night talking. I can easily say this is the most stunning home I’ve rented and the value was incredible. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Charlotte!

When we arrived, we discovered the pool and hot tub were not working, the host Betsy, came down and fiddled with the controls and then told us she was waiting on a part that the service man broke, no heater, no pump. The pool was standing water and she warned us about the mosquito infestation and gave us some mosquito spray. The 10 mins we were outside we were eaten alive from mosquitos so we went inside. When we got inside, out of the swarm, we could not sign onto the wifi and there was no ice. (we had requested ice for drinks) We promptly communicated with the host and told her we did not want to stay. I have the text communication with Charlotte, property manager. She acknowledges the issues, apologizes and promises a refund, yet now refuses to give us our full refund. Why would we stay at a property that we can't use the amenities, can't go outside, can't connect to wifi, and can't even make a cocktail. This was such a HUGE disappointment to our Mother's Day weekend get away. Now I have the second disappointment of dealing with a dishonest host, challenging the payment on my credit card and VRBO. Why are people such scammers? To no fault of our own, we didn't stay at your property, why would you keep our money?? :(

We made a new friend (Betsy). Wonderful accomodations. Comfortable bed, lots of peaceful places to lounge on the deck or by the pool. Stairs would be a challenge for disabled, but no problem for us seniors. Can't wait to visit again when pool is warm. So many wildflowers this time of year.

Sutter Creek and surrounding towns are so lovely and the people are so nice an accommodating. The food in Sutter Creek is outstanding. Staying at Sunset Hills Ranch was so peaceful with outstanding views.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The pool and hot tub overlook gorgeous rolling hills. Star gazing from the hot tub at night is amazing. The space is tastefully decorated with just what you need. If you are travelling with children, it's a great home base for doing day trips to Kirkwood Cross Country Ski Center (1 hr 15 min) and Iron Mountain Sno Park--great sledding (1 hr)! Charlotte is just a text message away if you have any questions and both Betsy and Charlotte are engaging hosts. We're already looking forward to our next trip!

Very clean an amazing place. Betsy’s and Charlotte thought of everything in case you forgot anything. Home was fully furnished.. The view and atmosphere were very relaxing and amazing. The wildlife and serenity of location made you feel like you were far away even though all surrounding towns were minutes away. Charlotte made the experience that much better with her attention to detail and accessibility. We left Sutter Creek with new friends and wonderful memories. Highly recommended place.

Such a beautiful space! Charlotte and Betsy were most welcoming. Assistance was immediate. Pleasant mornings; evenings were so calm and relaxing. The moon was gorgeous!! Hospitality at its finest!

We loved the beautiful pool and lovely king bed. We came in town for a wedding and it was a perfect time spot to relax in between events. The hot tub didn't work but the pool was a nice place to relax. The little town is awesome too.

"Come as guests, leave as friends" We were impressed by the spellbinding tranquility of this space. In my opinion, it's an absolute treasure tucked away in the hills of gold country. Absolutely going back.

They thought of EVERYTHING and were so incredibly welcoming and accommodating!! Between the adorable apartments, the amazing view, the perfect infinity pool and the incredible people we met, we never wanted to leave!! My wife and I needed a get away weekend. This was the an awesome place. Since the booking, the staff keep in contact throughout our stay. We were well received and accommodated in a truly beautiful home and short term stay location. Sunset Ranch has everything you need. The pool was great on the high heat afternoons. It was quiet, and the onsite folks help us find the best places and things to do. I give this a 10 out of 10. It truly is a jewel.

All the reviews and the listing photos are accurate - this home was such an amazing space inside and out! … you can really optimize your time and enjoyment at all times of day/night. It was a magical stay! Clean , modern yet classic, very comfortable, and the accommodations/bells&whistles topped the cake! The hosts were superb —-- kind, professional, welcoming, accommodating—- and local community was equally kind and welcoming. Looking forward to returning soon!

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway ! Really enjoyed the property inside and out . The communication was excellent would definitely recommend.
