Private little gem. This place was in a convenient location. Palmer's restaurant next door was delicious, too! Kirsten, the owner was absolutely wonderful in making our stay comfortable by communicating through text to answer any questions. Great experience! We will definitely stay again. ❤️

The Palmer Guest house is a comfy and convenient place to stay in San Marcos. We also enjoyed going to the Palmer Restaurant. It was a very comfortable place to wind down after a day after a day on the river. I highly recommend it!

This is the BEST place to stay when one visits San Marcos. My daughter and I attended the Mermaid Festival parade and TXST football game! Too much fun!! We had a Friday night dinner at Palmer’s to kickoff our weekend and Palmer’s Sunday brunch to close out the weekend.
Our food was delicious: crab cakes, chicken fried, bacon pasta, salads all fantastic! Service exceptional. Cocktails yummy too!
Hostess, Kristin always available yet never intrusive.
An Aveda concept salon is a few steps away. Downtown too.
The cottage is cozy. Stay here if you can! I have, since 2019. Never disappointed.

The shower stall was a bit of a tight fit to get into, but the overall space was very efficiently used. Driveway was a pain, caution is strongly advised! We knew we were in a smallish town when other drivers stopped to let us out! No kitchenette, but we knew that going in. Definitely needs a soundproof door to the next door office of Palmer's Restaurant. Considering the age of the space, it might not be possible...
All in all an enjoyable stay!

The Palmer’s Guest House is super cute and was perfect for my son and I to visit my other son who is a student at Tx State. It’s close to the square, the San Marcos River, and many historic homes. We loved it!

Easily accessible, nestled in a cozy private spot. You wouldn't even know this place existed even though it's located walking distance to the square.

Great cottage, but the property description should note that the shower door is very small ~< 18” wide. Maybe not an issue for most, but definitely a problem if you’re a larger person.

Stayed here on a quick visit to see my daughter. It is an awesome little place in a great location. Palmers is one of my favorite restaurants in San Marcos and I never knew this was here!

Great location central to everything in San Marcos including Texas State where our daughter graduated this weekend! Loved the guesthouse, enjoyed both the Graduation menu and the Mother’s Day brunch at Palmers! First rate experience! Would highly recommend!

This beautiful guest house at Palmer's was pleasant such a surprise! The photos really don't do it justice, it's just lovely. Great quality toiletries, wonderful coffee, linens, and a great little patio to sit on. The restaurant is relatively quiet early, so no issue. And what a delicious restaurant! Ate there numerous times! And parking was very convenient for the guest house. Book this for a wonderful stay. Thank you Kristin!

We had such a marvelous stay at the Palmer's Guest House! After a long day on the river it was lovely to come back, relax, and sit with a cocktail in the patio. This was the perfect small getaway to celebrate my daughters birthday/graduation. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was amazing.

Great Location
From the moment we booked until checking out was perfect and the owner was accessible to all our questions. We ate at Palmer"s both nights and enjoyed how quiet the guest house was. We are planning on staying again in the fall.

Great accommodations. Very convenient to campus, restaurants and bars. The only downside is that shower entry door is very narrow.

Once again, a super stay at the Palmer House. Hostess always in communiqué. The cottage is immaculate with a comfortable back patio where we enjoyed a refreshing white wine while catching up with life’s happenings. Thank you, Kristin! ❤️

We loved the little cottage! There is a little area to set out back and enjoy an adult beverage or read a book. We also enjoyed dinner next door at Palmer’s restaurant.

Hill country charm , comfortable and well appointed with a private patio excellent for relaxing with a nice bottle of wine. Bonus that it is connected to Palmer’s, one of our favorite restaurants in San Marcos.

Amazing place to kick back
We received a bottle of Texas Cabernet Sauvignon that was wonderful. We ate at the restaurant which Kyle made happen even though we did not have a reservation and really enjoyed the patio!!! We will be back! Very relaxing!!

R&R Made to Order
Palmer House never ever disappoints. We are returning guests and Palmer House is officially my husband’s favorite place to stay. Mine too! We were greeted with a lovely chilled white wine that we enjoyed on the quaint patio. The house was immaculate. We stayed two nights and both evenings enjoyed dinner next door at Palmer’s. Both food and service were exceptional. Thank you, Kristin for the gift certificate that we applied to our visit at the restaurant. We look forward to our next stay.
