Exceptional room and bathroom. Loads of space. I appreciate not all rooms will be the same, being an old building, but ours was great. All accessible by lift.

Good room with everything that was needed.
Quite noisy heating system i think.

Rooms were spacious, there was a tea & coffee tray however there was everything you could have asked for, hot chocolate and even an oats drink for anyone that would like that kind of thing, I did ask for some extra milk at the bar before we went back upstairs, they gave me a full half pint & wouldn't take any money for it, there was an iron & ironing board (we didn't use, however a great addrd extra) also a hairdryer, everything included, soap & shower gel also provided in the bathroom.
With regards to where the hotel is situated, its fully in the city centre, close to all shops & other bars, we attended a show at theatre which is just around the corner, booked 2 rooms for March, would highly recommend.
I honestly can say there wasn't anything I would have changed.

Central location.
Noise, due to it being part of pub! Could do with triple glazing!

Nothing we didn't like

Very large room and large en suite bathroom. Spotlessly clean and full hospitality tray. Great location in the middle of the town centre.
Lots of light pollution round the edges of the curtains. The bathroom was fitted out as a disabled bathroom, which meant there was equipment that got in the way of ablutions.

The room was very quiet with little or no disturbance. The food and staff were exellent.
It was difficult to get anyone at reception - this is a minor issue

Good location on the High Street. Free public parking about 10 minutes walk but through the beautiful park. Lovely bed, good towels, modern bathroom. Clean, and cleaning staff were friendly.
Very awkward check-in arrangements, at the very busy bar, not at the front desk, which was through a locked door! We were not the only ones confused. Also, over our three day stay, the key card stopped working for our room door. We could access the building, not our room. Had to return to the bar, find someone free to help us, etc. The most frustrating thing was that the wi-fi was super weak or non-existent in our room. The hub is in the bar area, far away. Our room was quite small and did not resemble the palatial look of the photos. The shower was nice but only a rain shower no hand held.

I thought that The Guildhall and Linen was very comfortable for the price. Everything I needed for a one night stay after a long drive was there. There was even a nice touch of providing a bottle of mineral water. I hadn't thought of bringing anything to drink. I arrived late at night and appreciated being able to check-in round about midnight. It was good that I could park outside to unload my bags. Normally the High Street is a walking area so cars have to be put in a free carpark. For The Guildhall and Linen to be in the High Street it was lovely and quiet in the night no noise until getting up time close to 8 in the morning and nothing disturbing, normal Street noise.
When I arrived I was a little freaked by the staff wearing cameras on their shirts but they were pleasant and helpful towards me.

Room was cosy enough space for 2 adults, bathroom was brilliant spacious, walk in shower, the cleaners were very friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable, good value for money.
Going in the bar to check in, food not good, breakfast was cold, toast was burnt so had to send it back then came back white but ate it anyway, pub gets full of teens at night so very noisey, some bar staff bit grumpy one didnt know how to say thank you quite rude.

Clean room with a comfortable bed
Paper thin walls, stuffey room and unable to open windows

Spacious (family) room
New clean bathroom
Beautiful view from window
Tea and coffee replenished every day
Close to parkrun and not far from station
Great value for money in restaurant downstairs
Courteous staff
Couldn't turn the air con off, so just made it work. I would have been happy with it off and it would have saved the hotel on bills.

Very spacious wheelchair accessible room with a good bathroom and wetroom.
Comfy beds and pillows
Staff were absolutely lovely, especially Michelle at check-in. Despite an issue where their stair lift didn't work, which meant my partner had to be carried inside, she made us very comfortable and was super respectful and kind. She understood why a wheelchair user might not want to be carried but we knew there weren't many other possibilities that evening with regards to accommodation. Also gave us a significant discount for the inconvenience which we appreciated!
This is minor but there should be emergency cords not just near the toilet, but also near the shower and bed in an accessible room.
The bathroom tended to flood massively when the wetroom was used.
Everything in the room said breakfast 7-12, but on Sunday it starts at 8. This wasn't written anywhere in the room and resulted in us having to find breakfast elsewhere which was not ideal before a marathon!
The hotel is so central as to possibly be too central. Many rowdy drunk people around at night when we were trying to sleep. Not the hotel's fault, but annoying.

Travelled for an event held in Edinburgh. All in all the experience was pleasant. Had some initial snags as someone else checked me in without me there but that was rectified in the end. Facilities were satisfactory. Perhaps in future I’ll stay in the area of the event I’m attending as not many taxis would take me there and no trains/busses were running due to the time of day. Not the fault of the hotel. If it were in Edinburgh I’ll stay all the time. Staff were great & the food was great
The check in experience wasn’t great. Took almost half hour as I was checked in by somebody else by mistake. Was eventually sorted but that delayed us and we missed the train we needed to go to Waverley

the room was massive and the bedding, towels were top quality. The staff were pleasant, polite and very helpful. would make this our top choice of hotel next time we are in Dunfermline

Room was clean and comfortable and good central location. Convenient location with bar attached. Staff were friendly and helpful when I asked for Synthetic pillows
The room had a disgisting odour like floor varnish or gloss paint. It was overwhelming.
My bed was next to the adjoining door for the next room and so I was disturbed all night by the party going on next door. Im not sure of the capacity for the room but I guarantee there were more people in there than there should have been. Playing music loudly at 3am is not acceptable regardless.

Food was good, staff were excellent location was fine to see Red Hot Chilli Pipers at the theatre. The nice touches in room being tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits plus bottles water
The windows as room was cold wear thermals if staying here. Our room overlooked a side street and we were unfortunate to be woken by disturbance in the night which included the, emergency services. Being Friday night it was loud so not good sleep for our travels next day, which not the hotels fault.

My room was bigger than expected and the bathroom was impressively modern. The staff went above and beyond to help once I left an item in the room. First class experience.
Room got very cold at night, even though I’d left the heating on before going to sleep it turned itself off.
