We spent 5 glorious days in this home, using a car to explore some of the areas surrounding Rome (Ostia Antica, Cerveteri, Palestrina, etc.). The location, first of all, is perfect. It is quite easy to access the GRA (ring road around Rome), but you are far enough into the countryside to enjoy the peace and quiet. Everything that you need can be found in the nearby town of La Storta. The only difficulty in the location is that GPS seems to have a mental block concerning the location--we ended up just mapping everything using the nearby tennis club as our home point, because otherwise we'd end up with REALLY strange directions. Our hostess, luckily, had warned us about this issue, so we were prepared. The property itself is simply gorgeous. This rental, so far as I can tell, is about 1/3 of a much larger house, but it has been divided up in such a way that you don't feel the presence of the neighbors--walls are thick, there are hedges and fences dividing the areas, and each portion of the building has its own yard, drive, etc. There are two friendly dogs next door, one of whom kept escaping to come and visit us, which was delightful for our son. We really loved having all the orange and olive trees, and fresh garden herbs (took advantage of some sage and rosemary in our cooking). They also made the place really lovely and welcoming. When all the shutters are open, there are huge french doors that look over everything, so the place is filled with light. The kitchen is roomy and welcoming, a great place to cook dinner for a big group. This was a place for a mini family reunion for us: we were 4 adults and 1 child in all. We could have also easily accomodated my sister's family, with 2 additional adults and 2 children. There's a huge family bedroom upstairs, plus two smaller ones. One smaller bedroom is ensuite, and the other two share a full bathroom. Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms that share a bathroom. All the beds we used were quite comfortable, and there were nice touches like hair dryers in every bathroom. Similarly, the kitchen was extremely well equipped. There is ample space at the dining table and in the living room for a crowd, and in nice weather, the patio can accommodate a large group as well. We had some rain, so the stock of umbrellas for guests came in handy, as did the decks of cards and board games. Our hostess was out of the country during our visit, but kept in contact via email and text.

We had 14 family members there. We were quite pleased with the Villa and the location. Easy to get into town from the train and metro.The shops and restaurants in the area that you recommended were very good.

Beautiful and spacious home close to the train station. The large yard with fruit and olives trees provide a shady place to relax. The house has plenty of sleeping accomadations and also AC in each room. The owner, Lucia, provided everything in the house we could need during your stay such as linens, blow dryers and also included restaurant and train/metro information. Thank you very much Lucia! We had a lovely stay!

Lucia and her family were amazing!!! From the moment we booked it was first class service all the way. My husband and I were flying in from the United States of America and his family and friends from the Netherlands. We were in Rome to celebrate our wedding. The home was clean, spacious, and accommodated everyone in the wedding group easily. We even had a welcome packet waiting for us from the owners. Lucia provided us clear instructions to the home, recommended restaurants, shops, and provided us additional suggestions that saved us a ton of time and money. It had easy access to the train into the city center. Our family focused on relaxing in home environment and the wedding...we will cherish our memories in this house forever. We enjoyed the most coffee in the terraza of the home every chance we had. She had EVERYTHING that any person could possibly need. We are already planning for our next visit back to Lucia's home. This is a must if you want live like the locals in the countryside and live like the Romans do...a dream come true!

We were with a big family in this house, ages between 5 and 71, and we all loved the spacious house and the big garden. Children could play as much as they liked, in both the house and the garden. We were there without a car, but walked in 15 minutes to the train which brought us in half an hour to the city of Rome. The house was clean and provided with all you need in a Household, even all basics for meals. For the rest we brought food from Rome of went to the smaller or biggen shops in Olgiata (all wel provided), which were on a distant of 25 minutes walk. The same holds for a number of restaurants in the village. Finally, we were impressed by all the care the owner of the house took for us, giving all information we needed and more, and giving the feeling that were very welcome.

Excellente solution pour être près de Rome tout en étant à la campagne, au calme dans une grande villa avec une immense et agréable jardin. La gare est à 5mn en voiture et Rome à 35mn en train. ( Idéal pour ne pas à avoir à prendre la voiture pour visiter Rome). Nous nous sommes vraiment plus dans cette villa et comme Rome ne se visite pas en 15 jours, nous reviendrons sans hésitation chez Lucia qui est d'une grande attention pour ses hôtes et en toute discrétion.
