Fantastic location. Beautiful peaceful feel about the hotel👍
It was all good

Amazing location. Views. Décor. Artwork. A special experience. Downstairs dining, bar, cafe, bathrooms tasteful, clean and delightful. Awoke to a cock crowing and the surf pounding. Good as it gets.
Tiny bathroom, creaky floors. Room soundproofing. We like it cool, but when we opened the window it seemed like all the warm air in the hotel was rushing out through our room via a very leaky door. At the hotel entrance a tacky lifestyles of the rich and famous vibe with pictures of Trump and celebrities. Ugh!

Everything was wonderful

La posizione è fantastica! Pulizia ok! Eravamo a pernottare in un vero castello inglese!
I quadri alle pareti erano terribili! Troppi oggetti, soprammobili, pietre e minerali…!

Set in a stunning location, perfect views and access to coastal walks and Tintagel castle and bridge….
Didn’t have much dealing with any staff but the ones we did were polite and helpful.
Really let down with the rooms themselves. It seems all the funds have gone into the upkeep of the lounge, dinner hall and bar area.
It gives the illusion of fit for royalty downstairs.
We had a comp upgrade to a sea view on arrival if we waited another hour which we were happy to do, went and sat downstairs in the bar and had a look around downstairs. Although upon seeing the room felt a bit cheated that we paid quite a lot of money for quite a dated room, tatty carpets, and a bathroom that was no more than a glorified plastic portaloo. Knees touching the door when sat on the loo, tiny shower. I can appreciate that the bathrooms have been added into an old building that once upon a time wasn’t designed to be a hotel and they’ve worked with what they’ve got, but could have been done better and utilised the space more. The bed was a small double, and not very comfy. Very small TV.
I did see a sign in hotel that they are renovating, maybe we were unlucky and got one of the rooms that was still to be refurbished? I don’t know.
Very thin walls and thin doors, could hear everything and anyone going past room. Being a dog friendly hotel, we expected some noise, but some of the guests left dogs unattended and howled a lot…. Think they should be separate areas for pet rooms and non pet rooms. Found it hard to relax and was woken up early with dogs barking or scratching at doors when owners left them alone (even though they’re not suppose to)
Didn’t have much dealing with any staff but the ones we did were polite and helpful.
Breakfast was £15.50pp - we did pay for one morning to try it out and didn’t bother for rest of stay - not worth the money at all, pretty bland and tiny portions. We ended up walking into town and going to the King Arthur’s Arms pub for breakfast, better value for money and still cheaper than breakfast at hotel. We didn’t have dinners at hotel as didn’t like look of menu / prices of meals.

Liked the location and the grandeur of the hotel reception and bar area, fabulous view over to the castle from our room. Staff were helpful and friendly.
The en-suite facilities although functional were not in fitting with the room

We loved the food, the lounge area, the coffee, the bedroom, bathroom and the overall ambience. We appreciated free ample parking. View from lounge and bedroom was stunning.

Was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was originally meant to be a private home with an interesting back story. Real fire in the fireplace, grand staircase and lounge rooms decorated with paintings by the artist co-owner-artist. Nice to be able to have dinner in the dining hall and finish off with a night-cap in the lounge.
The windows seeped cold air despite the ancient but working heating. But it made for a cozy sleep under the duvet!

A lovely, welcoming atmosphere, staff very friendly, lovely location and beautiful hotel.
Our rooms, even though spotlessly clean, needed upgrading, I wasn't keen on the "pod" toilet and shower, but understand the necessity in such an old building.

The location was great.
The room was large.
The room was very noisy.
The carpet was old and thin.
The room had a dog smell.
The upholstery was worn and thread bare.
The bathroom was a very small modular unit.
The shower was very small and water went everywhere when you showered.
The towels were small and scratchy.

kept to the original look
beautiful location with great scenery
the so called en suite reminded me of a toilet in an aeroplane
extremely small
no fridge
breakfast good
however the main evening meal was a disappointment. I had ordered a chicken briyani - rice was over cooked and hardly any chicken, very tight on the mango chutney

Asked for a room with a seaview and that is exactly what we got. Having visited Tintagel many times before we had always wondered what it would be like to stay at the Camelot Castle Hotel and now we have. Thank you for a great weekend of peace and stunning views.

We were upgraded to a sea-view room with a four poster bed which was a lovely surprise due to the scaffolding. Very friendly and helpful staff. This was our second visit to this hotel but this time we took our dog who loved every minute. Everywhere in Tintagel is very dog-friendly. We only had breakfast of which there was a good selection.
Everything good

Beautiful building in a great location. I would love to go back when the renovations are complete
The en-suite needs replacing, it was very dated.

location was amazing. rooms were good size and comfortable
didn’t have a dishwasher as stated in the description but that wasn’t a deal breaker. as it was a family apartment could have done with a washing machine and sofas /chairs that we’re comfortable

The location is perfect, beautiful scenery and the local shops, restaurants are close by.
The hotel has old charm character.
Couldn’t fill the kettle with water early in the morn as there was only access to the bathroom pod tap, which I couldn’t assume was safe drinking water.
Doors are locked at midnight and no one around.

View from bed room was amazin
Rooms were like a cell with a caravan toilet and shower
Did not eat at restaurant as did not want to give the hotel any more money

Great view-apart from the scaffolding
It was near the restaurant/kitchen extractor fan so couldnt have the window open as it was noisy and smelly.

Camelot castle was amazing built in the 1920 and still sound. The staff we're excellent, it was a shame the lift broke down and waiting for a part that took a bit longer than all the guests thought. We were on the third floor 63 steps to the main reception and bar. The food was good but the evening menu didn't vary from day to day. They supplied oat milk and camomile tea for us. Nothing was to much bother. Ted Staunton the famous painter is co-owner and his painting are displayed on the Great Hall as well as all the rooms. Beauitful. Very attentive to our needs. Thankyou for a lovely 7 day break.
As i said the evening meal could have been varied

Location great
Tiny pod "bathroom" like being on a ferry.

Superb location, upgraded to a huge room with 180-degree views of the sea. Food and service were outstanding.
Ongoing renovation meant there was scaffolding up, but needs be.

Loved the character of the hotel, speedy check in and directed to our room (didn't realise there was a lift!). Comfy bed and nice views around the hotel. Liked the bar area and staff
Bathroom very small (cruise ship style) but didn't really bother us. Shame about the scaffolding blocking the views. Breakfast bit expensive and would have liked a dressing table in the room with chair instead of chest of drawers. WiFi slow.

Stunning views of the castle and sea.
Staff are exceptional. It feels like a private country house party. Evening meal s as I’d breakfast both very good.
Dog friendly
Bathroom was basis
We like to have our dog with us at breakfast which wasn’t possible
