Our cottage was spotlessly clean, had all the facilities, was spacious, and extremely comfortable. it’s well located and easy to find

A lovely cottage with plenty of room and a relaxing setting, very comfortable with everything we needed. The location was great, nice and quiet away from the main part of town and very close to the Kaikoura Lookout. Could definitely have stayed a few days!

Our host was very welcoming and even gave us a little treat on arrival. Lovely and quiet, private and well located. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space for everyone. The bed was super comfy and the shower, awesome! We would love to return!

Quiet, but an easy two minute drive into Kaikoura. A lovely host who immediately righted a few problems we had.
The house wasn't very private. Our patio was open to the main house drive and we looked out onto The Cottage car parking space/car. Family members walked about by our kitchen window, which was also the route to the laundry area. There is no sea view from this property. This is not clear from the photos.

A tranquil setting and beautiful garden. Wonderful views of the ocean and mountains. Warm and friendly host and family. Eco friendly. Comfortable accommodation. Mostly well equipped. Plenty of dinnerware and glasses.
Our overall experience was very nice but the kitchen lacked some basic eating and cooking utensils such as a baking tray, tongs, egg cups and enough cutlery etc.

Cottage was cold on our arrival, would have been nice to have had heating switched on prior to our arrival but not a big problem , warmed up .

Comfy bed, spacious, nice deck, helpful host, well equipped kitchen, good TV, well heated
no heated towel rails. Lack of toiletries - difficult to get soap from dispenser, no shampoo no face clothes

Clean and comfortable beds. Near some lovely walking tracks.
Sofas in lounge too low for tall or older people. Very close to a road which was a bit noisy. motion-activated light went on and off in yard all night.

Peaceful setting with ample room in the unit and exceptionally clean. Our host was extremely hospitable. We loved the location as it was on the fringe of town and we were only a few metres from the walkways to Kaikoura and South Beach.

Nice view, spacious accommodation, easy access, well equipped and really nice landlord.
It's a shame that the small room isn't wide enough to fit a double bed. The kitchen would have been perfect with a spatula for pan cake and a sponge for the dishes.

We stayed at the Lodge it was big and well equipped, set up for large groups beds everywhere. It was very comfortable.
No wardrobes only hooks on the walls for clothes and no hangers. The exterior had a feeling of neglect. I don’t think their literature makes clear how far away from town it is. It is easy enough to walk but you really would not want to do it at night.
