Great location, friendly staff, clean and tidy
There was an awful smell in our room, it smelt of weed when you walked in and then old stewed tea!

Good location and quiet. Clean and comfortable room. Lovely staff and good food.
Only one complaint, disappointed this morning to find the continental breakfast only consisted of toast, when we asked a member off staff, we was told they had run out of everything.

The room was good. The place itself looked fabulous. The bar had a nice welcoming ambience.
The basin in the bathroom was too close to the loo. It made getting into place rather difficult. My husband is 6ft tall and couldn't sit comfortably during our stay. Also, though the room looked clean, there was a build-up of detritus down the side of the mirrored unit.
We ordered an evening meal through the restaurant and it arrived rather luke warm, but the server did warm it up for us.
The building site at the back of the property, which our window looked out onto was noisy, and kicked in from 7.00 am.
Finally, the gates into the Lobster Pot beer garden need addressing. They are fine for push chairs, but not wheelchairs. Mine couldn't fit through.

The hotel room was as expected and a good standard. Very clean with very comfy beds. Room temperature and shower/bath great.
The breakfast was very poor in my opinion. My wife's omelette had more oil than the Exxon Valdiz oil spillage. My cooked breakfast was also very greasy. poor quality sausage and bacon. Lots of water erupted out of the rubber mushroom when I cut into it, no fresh brewed coffee, DIY from sachets.

The restaurant.
It was obviously short staffed, and the food was very poor.
The breakfast was overpriced for the very little choice.

The room was comfortable. Dinner at the associated pub was good, with a flexible menu and charming, if overstretched, staff. My glass of rioja was a very pleasant surprise.
Breakfast was rather perfunctory: in particular, we were disappointed to be offered instant coffee. Again, the staff were very obliging about providing coffee from the bar, but see above, overstretched - we had difficulty finding someone to take payment and keys on departure.
