It took us 3 years to finally get here, but we made it, and it was worth the wait. We loved this home. It's an obvious older home with lots of charm and character. We loved the location and the wraparound deck is so spectacular. You will definitely want to enjoy a meal out on the deck or at the very least, a cup of coffee in the morning while you are wrapped up in a blanket enjoying the tree tops around you and the glimpses of the lake. Just beautiful! The kitchen is so incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed making meals and having dinner at the large dining room table provided. The decor and styling of the kitchen, which I know was fairly recently renovated, is perfect. Again, we LOVED it!! It's hard to decide which was our favorite, the kitchen, or the living room. A huge living room with lots of seating and very comfortable seating I might add. The fireplace was enjoyed every night and the hosts provide games, books, and sizeable television to keep you entertained. The upstairs is a little dated, but that did not change it's comfort, quaintness, and function. It's all about a good night's sleep and that was not hard to achieve. The host provided plenty of additional blankets for warmth and complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms which is a lovely touch. We took turns sleeping in the primary room and you'll understand why when you see it. Loved the windows and doors that open to another deck, and then there's seating for two in front of the second fireplace. The only minor issues we had with the place were that there were a few dishes we found that were not clean and the potholders were pretty dirty but other than that, this was our favorite VRBO throughout our 13-day trip in the region. We enjoyed our time in Petoskey, very much. You are within walking distance of the downtown area but the neighborhood is super cute and quiet. We had no issues with noise at all. Mike, was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay and we will happily recommend this VRBO to anyone who may go to Petoskey!! :)

The house was wonderful. The kitchen was fabulous with everything we needed. Views of the lake were a plus. We had plenty of room. Our only problem was that the couch in the master bedroom was covered in what looked like it might have been cat hair. My husband took advantage of the sweeper and cleaned off.

Property was exactly as presented. Clean. Great location to Downtown. I walked to everywhere I wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an amazing house in a perfect location for a weekend away. We visited local wineries, breweries, the tunnel of trees, Harbor Springs and downtown Petoskey. The house was clean and the porch was amazing. We have been doing this trip for 21 years and this house checked all the boxes. Highly recommend!!

The pictures don’t do this place justice, it was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, communication with the owner was prompt and efficient. Check-in was great, uneventful. The place was absolutely beautiful and spotless. They had many of the things that you would need, plates, napkins, garbage bags, spices, ect…. The house is located in a great location, easy walk down to the water. Town is very close with many shops/restaurants.

House is great, and property manager Mike W is fantastic. This was our second stay here for a long weekend in Petoskey, and we would definitely rent this property again.

We booked the home just to sleep in during a business trip to the area. However, it was such a great location and house, I plan to return again. Internet (AT&T) was down in the area and Mike was super responsive and helpful with problem solving. One of (if not the) overall best VRBO I have ever rented! Super clean. Appropriately stocked. Great location and view!

Had a great time visiting Petoskey for the first time before Christmas. Came for snow and the chance to relax before visiting family. House was wonderful, and the walk to the adorable downtown was quick and easy (even in the cold). Great spot in a great little town.

Perhaps our favorite VRBO, and that is saying a lot. Just a lovely, lovely place in a great location. So cozy and comfortable. Property manager was fantastic. Highly recommended!

My husband & 2 friends stayed in this lovely house for 3 days. We loved everything about it. The location was perfect for walking to the lake & exploring the surrounding Petoskey attractions. The house itself was warm and inviting (we loved the wine and snacks waiting for us on arrival). It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed. And the beds were really comfortable. My only regrets are that we couldn't stay longer and the chilly weather prevented from spending more time on the beautiful porch. Hopefully, next time we visit, we can take advantage of this feature!

The huge TV in the living area was such a treat--and the owner has the room set up so you can lounge on a comfy couch or enjoy watching theater style in plush individual chairs that swivel & rock. The outdoor porch overlooks the lake & you can enjoy your morning coffee or even dinner cooked on the top of the line appliances. The location of the house couldn't have been more ideal. We were a block away from the bike/walking trail where you can walk to beautiful park right on the lake or stroll to the downtown area. The local bike shop 'Lattitude 45"' is about 200 yards from the house--I rented a bike and had a great time riding up to Harbor Springs & Alanson on the trail. Our contact person--Mike was extremely responsive and excellent to work with. Petoskey Cottage is one of the nicest VRBO homes we've ever stayed in.

I cannot imagine a better place to spend a week with family in Petoskey! The house is truly lovely. The updated and well stocked kitchen made it enjoyable to make most of our dinners at home, and we loved eating out on the porch looking over Lake Michigan. We took full advantage of the location, walking into town, playing on the fields by the water, and biking on the Little Traverse Wheelway. So many other great activities are easy drives from the home- golfing, sailing, ziplining, swimming at the beach, and even taking a day trip to Mackinac Island! We came to Michigan to escape the summer heat in Washjngton DC, and we ended up falling in love with the area! We hope to be back again soon!

Our family spend a fabulous week in June at this updated, well-appointed & obviously well-loved property. A gift basket of Pure Michigan treats was a nice touch upon arrival, as well as cute toiletry gift bags in the bathrooms. The kitchen was updated, spacious, and well-equipped, down to the spice drawer! (I had brought some of my own favorite spices, just in case.) One recommendation: add overhead lighting to the dining rm table area. Cute bar nook. Front room was large and inviting, with comfy furniture. Great wrap-around porch, where we enjoyed dining al fresco and taking in the scenery. Large master suite with sitting area, and deck to enjoy the sunrises & sunsets. Although we did not need them during our week, we appreciated the availability of portable A/Cs in the bedrooms. The property manager was quick to respond to any queries, and brought us a recycling bin when one couldn't be located. The location was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed walking to town, the beach, the trails, etc. , & renting bikes from nearby Latitude 45. We all agreed we want to return next summer, but it looks like "Petoskey Cottage" is booked solid for the next two summers. Bummer for us. We discovered this gem a little too late. Please let us know if you have a cancellation next summer.
