The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Bathroom was ok, we used flipflops in shower and around the room as we did for all places in Ethiopia. Best part was when we were checking out in the morning and we were in a hurry - breakfast was ready and scrambled eggs tasted better than anywhere in the US, not mentioning the coffee. The lady managing the property was very nice. Mosquito nets did not have holes (happened in other places in Ethiopia so we traveled with our own net just in case).

There is a locally famous bar next door that had a party going on. It didn't bother us much because we are hard sleepers and we were very tired from previous travel so we slept right through the traditional Ethiopian tunes :). Also, construction of a new hotel covered our window view - may not be the case with other rooms (there was no construction noise during our stay). I did not like not having full roll of toilet paper in the bathroom (you only get some tp from a roll per person). Perhaps we could have asked for a full roll, but we did not.

The property offers everything you need. It is not luxury but enough. The staff is nice and prepares a good breakfast.

Great location in the center of Lalibela, very close to the churches. Breakfast great, and cofee marvelous. Destow, the guide of the horel, was very kind. The Hotel bar is one of the best in the city.
