We felt comfortable staying in this lovely bed and breakfast accommodation. The host was very friendly and welcoming.
The bedroom was spacious and inviting with a generous en suite bathroom.
Little touches like milk in the fridge and champagne as well were much appreciated.
The breakfast was cooked to perfection.
All in all a wonderful stay.

Lovely B&B. Very friendly hosts. We arrived early and were able to check in and leave the car for the day - only a 5 minute wander into Rye centre. A lovely bright room with a big sleigh bed. Plenty of toiletries and towels. Several extra touches with lots of hot drinks to choose from, fresh milk, bottled water and 2 mini Prosecco in the fridge.
Local shower gel, shampoo & moisturiser- smelt lovely!
Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. Got a bit hot in the night but it is February and it was a very mild weekend. Would happily stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely, friendly hosts. Beautiful house, a very comfortable, private room. Peaceful & relaxing. Breakfast was amazing. Lovely touches...bubbly in the fridge along with a great selection of teas, coffee & hot chocolate. Off road parking, which is great. Minutes walk to the town!
The shower wasn't very powerful but ecologically friendly!

Lovely welcome from Gill, who has used her experience in running another B&B to create the Red Cottage as a spacious, welcoming B&B with just two rooms. Her introduction to the facilities and area was clear, with just the right amount of information. She readily accommodated our request for breakfast at a specific time and the bottles of milk, prosecco and chilled water in the room were a very welcome touch. The room and bathroom were spotless, plenty of space and the breakfast was excellent - including delicious home-made fruit compote and granola.
Nothing - it was great and I only wished we could have stayed for another night!

Everything was perfect! it's perfectly located - an easy stroll to the centre of Rye but in a quiet road. The breakfast had lots of options and was really delicious. A huge thank you to Gil and Brian!

The beds were comfy, the stand-in hosts were very helpful with good suggestions for dinner and local visits, and the fresh berries, yoghurt and granola for breakfast were excellent.

Professionalism with personal touch! We were greeted with two little bottles of complimentary prosecco. The room and the bathroom are set up with attention to details at the finest level and are spotlessly clean. We found the bed made when we returned to the room - a service we could only expect from a hotel not a B&B. The pièce de résistance is the delicious breakfast with the kind of standards that could topped those offered by top-rated hotels or restaurants. We were presented with a breakfast menu with various mouth-watering choices instead of just a big fry-up. Overall we were very happy staying at the Red Cottage. We went to Rye for the Jazz Festival and everywhere else was fully booked. We were lucky to have found this gem!

Stayed in Red Cottage for 2 nights in June'22 - it was a random get-away trip from London. I arrived by train, and the cottage was an easy 5-minute walk from the Rye Station (Easy navigation through maps). The cottage is tucked away towards the end of a small street, so it's a very quiet and peaceful locality with lots of greenery around. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures - super cozy and the bed was so comfy I could have slept through the entire day! It seemed like the room was refurbished recently - which gave it a very modern vibe in a cottage that was otherwise very traditional. So, you get the best of both worlds. The room and the attached bathroom were both spotlessly clean and really well maintained. Loved the amenities and extras provided in the bathroom.
Rye is a very small town, so the entire town can be covered, by walk, from Red Cottage. Bryan helped me with a map of the town and shared recommendations on popular sights and restaurants - which was super helpful.
Their breakfast is something which is not to be missed - cooked home-style with super fresh ingredients and can be customized as per your requirements.

We were looking for somewhere to stay on a last minute visit of Rye. Everything was perfect. Communication when booking. Place to park car. Warm welcome from Gill. Room was delightful. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Superb breakfast. 5 minute walk to centre of Rye. Would highly recommend.

Just wow. Our stay here was so comfortable and perfect. Gill and Brian were lovely hosts, had recommendations for us and generally went out of their way to look after us. The attention to detail in the very large room was second to none, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the surroundings very green and peaceful. Only a couple of minutes walk from the train station and very close to the town centre. The breakfast included was delicious too.
I would only want to stay here if I came to Rye again. 10 out of 10
