This was a very charming stay in the heart of Friday Harbor. The place was just as advertised, clean, tidy, and very close to all the local shops and attractions. The restaurant below, Mikes Cafe and Wine Bar was the icing on the cake.

Did we say great location?
Located right in the heart of downtown, Mike's Penthouse was perfect for 2 on a romantic getaway to Friday Harbor. We walked everywhere, even over to Susie's Moped's when we decided to explore the island. Private, clean as a whistle and over a very cool and quiet restaurant that really settles down after 8:30 (our last dinner there was amazing).

We had a perfect little getaway in Friday Harbor. The location of the rental couldn't be better. Everything you need can be found within a few blocks - coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, moped rentals, boutiques, and more. PROSVery spacious for two people with a large dining table which was perfect for the mornings when we had to do some remote work. The king bed in the master was comfy and having two bathrooms was a big plus. The fridge is small but that was fine for us as we only needed to keep some snacks and drinks in it. All other items like dishware and utensils were also available. Having our own parking space was also great. The rental was also very clean and organized.CONSAll the lighting and TVs are run by Alexa which was frustrating. It would have been so much easier to just turn off the lights ourselves. Also, the area is quite loud in the mornings with all the delivery trucks unloading at the grocery store across the street daily at 6am. The rental is located right in the downtown area so I get it but next time I will be bringing earplugs. Would have been nice to sleep in a bit. Lastly, I didn't realize there was "maybe" another tenant living in the same building connected to the restaurant as we could hear them talking, coughing, etc through the door in our living area which felt a bit odd at times. Despite the few cons we had a great time and would definitely visit again as a quick getaway to our favorite Island.

Very nice clean and unique accommodations. Can’t beat the location! Only disappointment was the loud voices and laughing from the restaurant below which shouldn’t have been a problem since it closed at 8pm but woke us up several times late into the night. Great Space Beautiful Spot
Tremendous property friendly support, huge space, only down side is this is fine for shorter stays we stayed 10 days and not having a kitchen for cooking was h fortunate. Small fridge and high electronics with Alexa for everything, Recommend guide for A/C fan units not in the instructions book. It once figured out it was all super quiet, high tech shower great. And watch head clearance when washing dishes. All in all it was excellent, comfy and beautiful. Be aware of construction and utility noise Monday’s to Wednesdays, still rate if 5 stars!

Location location location!!! Apartment was amazing! Mike’s restaurant downstairs was wonderful! A grocery store across the street, shops just steps away. You couldn’t ask for a better place.

The apartment is in a terrific location; a short walk from the ferry. We walked into town and rented e-assist bikes for our stay and it worked out great! Mike is super friendly and the place had everything we needed (groceries are across the street). The restaurant is really great; our whole family enjoyed the meals we had there!

Excellent location for experiencing downtown Friday Harbor while also allowing you to "get away" from the downtown corridor with only a five minute walk. Excellent food and great people in the cafe/bar below. Property management informed us that the property was ready for early check-in, which was a nice surprise. We came to the island over the 4th of July weekend and it was a busy time on the island for sure. This property was ideal being that it's right in middle of Friday Harbor and we just parked our car and walked to everything in town. The property was recently set up for rental use and everything is brand new and really nice. The layout with a bedroom on either side and bathrooms in between make it perfect to share but it was just my wife and I and our two girls. You do get a bit of noise from the restaurant below in the evenings but it's part of the charm. We feel like we've found the place we'd like to return to for future visits to the island.

Mike is a great guy & so glad we stayed here during our 5-days summer vacation in San Juan Island! Love the decor and very clean interior! Perfect amount of space for an active family of four who want a place to relax and chill after a day of exploring the island or shopping at Friday Harbor. We have older children and I’d recommend it for kids ages 8+. We used the local laundry/dryer (walking distance) nearby. Check out Mike’s restaurant, too! Everything we ordered tasted amazing and customer service was excellent!! Would stay here again!

Great Location
We came to the island over the 4th of July weekend and it was a busy time on the island for sure.
