We had the best time! The house was perfect size and just one street from the beach, had all necessities needed, just need to bring extra tp,paper towels and paper plates if you want. And your own towels. We will absolutely be visiting again.

Great house and easy communication and check-in. Bigger than we expected from the pictures. This is a street back from the beach which is perfect since you can drive on the beach and other people would be parked in front of your house if you were right on the beach.

Property is exactly what I expected. We didn’t spend much time there, mainly to sleep. Clean house and amazing location close to shops and the beach of course. I would absolutely recommend staying here and coming back. Only issue is the shelf in the fridge was broken and when I placed the milk on it, the jug fell out and spilt milk. Didn’t affect my stay at all though.

The house was very clean, and the access to the beach was amazing. The house could use a few extra things. We ended up buying a grill brush for the grill, night lights, a hammer to fix a few nails, dish towels and cloths, and some storage containers and plastic plates for our kiddos. It’s not the most kid friendly place for toddlers. There are bunk beds and the ladders don’t come off, the fire place has stone that has jagged edges and everything is glass (drinking glasses, plates and bowels. The patio view is amazing and has a large picnic table. The community pool is also the city pool and it’s not close to the house. It’s on the other side of the highway. If you have never been to Jamaica Beach, make sure you go grocery shopping before hand because the Walmart and Kroger are a good 20 minute drive. I would recommend buying new comforters for the beds, and buy plastic plates and cups to make it more kid friendly. The gate to the patio needs some TLC. Very clean upon arrival other than window sills and mini blinds. Really nice and large kitchen living area. Beds were very comfortable, but it would have been nice to have a ceiling fan in the room that sleeps 6. The railing of the upper deck is not child safe at all. Many of the spindles are not secure including several on the stair railing. The kitchen is very well supplied, including large pots, platters and casserole dishes. We were not supplied enough bath towels for our group and we were not at capacity for the unit. There is a washer/dryer.

Proximity to beach was fantastic - It was close enough that our four year old could walk to the beach without being carried or riding in a wagon.

Check in was really easy and the place was even nicer in person! The beach was a 30 sec walk away! Loved our stay.

I booked this trip as a last minute surprise to celebrate my daughters 13th birthday with a few good friends. Truly the easiest trip ever! From check-in to grabbing last minutes staples from the stores just around the corner. We had all the necessities of home, but most of all the ease and convenience of going back and forth to the beach feeling safe enough to allow a bit more independence for the new “teens”.

The house is roomy and quaint. Jamaica Beach allows cars on it but the pocket beach adjacent to Jamaica Beach has 1.5 miles of to set up for the day or take a nice walk. Also a nice coffee shop near by.

I also love how it’s far enough away from town to avoid the crowds, but also close enough to go do stuff without a long drive. Will definitely stay again.

Nice house loved all the windows...second row with beach views... street front to the left to the beach path ...we walked to the state park side where no cars are allowed...it was great with four children.

Great property. Lots of room. Short walk to beach

So, this property was not as clean as I would have liked. There was a fine layer of dust on many of the tables and no cleaning supplies with which to clean anything. I was very surprised by this as most of the reviews were glowing. However, when I went back to look, I noticed the most recent review had been Aug 2018. I contacted the property manager who was extremely responsive. She offered to send a cleaning crew out. The pots and pans need to be replaced as some of the teflon was coming off. I recommend the property manager just not the property.

Reviewer Comments: When I originally clicked on this property it said "from $270 per night" and I read all the reviews and it sounded like a great place to stay. So I went through the forms to reserve it and by the time I was done it said it would be $900 per night. I thought maybe I had made a mistake and booked too many nights or something, But I hadn't. I almost didn't book it but I just hoped it would be worth it. We had a really fun weekend and there were a lot of fun things about the house and the location, but it is by far the most overpriced place we have ever stayed. The home is older and is showing its age in several places (duct tape on the kitchen floor holding tiles together, a slat missing on the outdoor banister, the floor sagging beneath the master toilet, stains all over the refrigerator door). Plus, there were no beach towels or toiletries provided (which made for a lot of extra stuff for us to pack for our family of 8). Also, the home instructions said we had to sweep all the floors, strip all the beds, and take out all the trash before we checked out. We have stayed all over the world and this was twice as expensive as any other place we have stayed, and other places offered far more amenities. I was really baffled as to how it was so expensive. I would love to come back to it and recommend it to friends because we really had fun, but I just can't. It's not worth its price.
