breakfast was nice and the host was very welcoming. Also really enjoyed the amenities like the beers in the fridge and the brownies

lamps for the nightstands were a bit big and took up too much of the bedside table

Great room, comfy bed, nicely stocked fridge!

This is the fourth time I've stayed at The Lastage Inn, and if given a choice I will not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam. The location is perfect, easy walk to anything you could want (for example 30 minutes to the museums, the Anne Frank House or the zoo) and also only a block or so from a metro station. The owner is the most charming and attentive host. And the breakfasts are things dreams are made of!

The breakfast here is sterling quality (fresh fruit and yoghurt, sourdough toast with salmon/bagel, and a warm croissant too if you’re lucky), and the inn was incredibly welcoming throughout which made our stay very enjoyable. The neighborhood is central which makes travelling easier (we did everything by foot) and the bed was also very comfy to let us recover after a long day. I personally appreciated the high quality facilities, even things like Aesop products (lush smell), Dyson hair dryer, good bedding, and the lovely room scent - it just makes your holiday that much more pleasant. I travelled with my mother and she also had an excellent experience here. I would come back here!

For our room, there was a bath where you can shower too; this was fine for us, but it might be difficult for some people. The place has a communal kitchen for you to hang out in but it’s probably fair to say that the place is best for people who are wanting to visit the city and be out most of (or a lot of) the day - which I assume is most people!

Super Host, sehr persönlich. Nimmt sich Zeit für die Gäste, Gibt gute Empfehlungen. Ruhige Seitenstraße aber mitten in Amsterdam. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Aside from the rustic/modern playfulness of the building, the quality of everything, and the extensive attention to detail, it was the host that tied it all together.

Matt è un grande padrone di casa e la sua struttura lo rappresenta: attenzione e cura dei dettagli, sia per quanto riguarda il comfort della camera che per quanto riguarda le cortesie per i suoi ospiti. Accoglie con il sorriso ogni mattina, arricchisce la colazione con dei piatti preparati da lui stesso al momento e cerca di soddisfare ogni necessità degli ospiti. La struttura è in posizione centrale, il letto è molto comodo. La nostra camera aveva due belle finestre con vista sulla strada, piacevoli. La stanza era sempre ben riscaldata. Matt ci ha offerto libero accesso al frigobar ed ha anche rimpiazzato durante il nostro soggiorno le bibite che abbiamo consumato. Ci ha offerto dei dolcetti di benvenuto che ci ha fatto trovare in stanza per due volte durante il soggiorno. Le sue attenzioni fanno certamente la differenza.

La camera è poco insonorizzata ma la struttura è piccola (consta soltanto di due stanze) pertanto risulta silenziosa.
