Beautiful bolt-hole with a gorgeous view over the harbour which can be enjoyed from a private outdoor balcony or a shared enclosed conservatory. I loved sitting on the balcony listening to the water lapping, little boats pottering about and the complete absence of road traffic noise! A highlight was being able to swim off the steps directly in front of the property. Hosts were welcoming on arrival but I was given complete privacy in the self-contained flat. Very enjoyable stay. Would definitely return.

The narrow roads leading into Polruan that only fit one car down with a large drop one side . Worst roads we have been on it was very scary when car's are coming towards you. Otherwise beautiful place. Lot's of hill's and step's just to be aware before booking

great location and stunning views from the balcony. there was plenty of space for two of us + our dog. the place was homely, clean and comfortable. it was extremely quiet and we had an amazing rest. we really enjoyed our stay.

nothing to do with the property itself. we were silly enough to believe sat nav and attempted to get to the property by car. bad idea, I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing that as there’s a huge chance you will damage your car as we did. also lots of stairs to the house which didn’t bother us but won’t be suitable for someone with disabilities.

The location was excellent. Lots of piece and quiet with good views across the water to Fowey

From the moment we arrived, we were met by the most helpful staff who made us feel at home. The location and setting is exceptional and our room was lovely and spacious. We will certainly be visiting again!

Location, owners were lovely, the views were amazing, everything was clean, the use of the conservatory, garden and balcony. Everything was spot on.

The view was lovely. And the host was very pleasant.

The photos on the website suggested we would get a separate lounge and television. This photo obviously belonged to the other apartment. The facilities were very minimal ie no tea or coffee. The kitchens area wasn’t very clean and the furnishings were very basic and tired. The apartment could be made beautiful if some more money was spent on it. The wet room again needs updating. There was a very unpleasant smell in the apartment from day 2 onwards so we had to just keep the windows open. Overall £120 a night is too expensive for a property of this standard.

Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the boats going by was very relaxing.

Paying for parking and being some distance away was not ideal.

Booking.com gave no viable information re the steep steps needed to get between road and Polmarine. Difficult for 70+ year olds.

We booked this for our wedding anniversary after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures . It looked lovely, but the reality was more like an episode of how clean is your house ! It was filthy and had we not arrived late due to a car problem we would have left immediately. Having navigated the disgusting bathroom complete with fecal spots around the toilet seat , rusty loo roll holder and a dated and stained splash back around the sink it was time for bed .Although I must give a special mention to the shower that would be a treat for any csi team .Some places like to welcome you with a chocolate pillow , not polrmarine . We were treated to pubic hair under the pillow . Such a thoughtful touch . Obviously sleep didn’t come easy after that little treat but at 11.30 pm check out wasn’t an option with nowhere else to go and a four hour journey home . If it had been we’d have been out of there like a bat out of hell. Talking of hell that was an accurate description of the dated and rusty oven . It came complete with thick grime and we presume mould/ dust . Either way that ruled out breakfast or even wanting to boil the kettle which in its defence was clean inside but the outside covered in spots of god knows what . I went to put make up on and behold the chair was adorned with a varnished in maggot , possibly a worm . We really weren’t about to stay and find out . The pictures we will upload really paint a much clearer picture and I hope the owner literally does clean up his act and disgusting apartment. We contacted Booking.com for a refund who agreed that we deserved compensation too based on the pictures . Guess what ? the owner only agreed to a refund of the night we didn’t stay . No customer service whatsoever from him but Booking.com were really helpful and apologetic. Please don’t waste your money here it was horrific , dated and needs a deep clean. Also reviewed on trip advisor with more pictures.

Our host, location & views were absolutely wonderful. Lovely local restaurants and Fowey just a little boat trip away, which added to the fun. A little bit of heaven tucked away.
