Great location - this is our 3rd time in Santa Teresa and was a 5min walk to the beach and many good restaurants. If you dont plan on leaving town, you dont need a car when staying at Altamar. The pool was a must for us as we try to avoid the strong sun in the early afternoon so was great to cool down and get some shade. It was kept very clean and was very tranquil with surrounding plants and infinity edge. We made breakfast almost every morning so the kitchenette was good for that and had everything we needed. We appreciated the coffee maker and coffee provided too! The rooms and grounds are kept very clean with the housekeeper and property manager there almost every day doing a great job. The room was a good size and dark and quiet at night. AC worked well. A 2min walk up the hill from the main road in Santa Teresa so just far enough from the action to be close but quiet. A key is needed to get inside the property itself and we felt very safe. We would stay here again. Marilin, the owner organized a taxi for us and stayed in communication with us when needed.

We found the bed to be a great size but not super comfortable. Also, I think guests should be aware that construction is ongoing above the 3 existing properties - Marilin and the crew were very responsive to my complaint about early morning noise on our first morning that we really didn't expect and we didn't hear anything before 8h30-9am after I spoke with her. But the crew is still there and you can hear them on the occasion. That being said, we would still stay there again. I do hope with the addition of 3 more rooms that they add more umbrellas and loungers to the pool area as afternoon shade was already hard to come by with the balconies facing the sun all afternoon/early evening.

Location is exceptional. Swimming pool lovely, amazing food restaurants on your doorstep. Good space to park, I had an ATV.

Host was cold. My trip was ruined because maid entered my room after just two knocks (according to host) I was asleep & naked. I reported it to the host, she apologized, that’s it. The killer was the construction on site, they are building a third floor. They should tell people that this is happening before you book. I was on a working trip, it ruined it. Cockroach in bathroom & lots of pests. Crickets so loud at night if feels like they are inside the flat, nobodies fault. The flat is run down, needs a lift. Bed hard. Overall poor, you can find somewhere better. The host refused a refund, I am seeking legal advice & will leave reviews on Trip Advisor etc. I left the shower & a CCTV found a camera.

Location was difficult. It might be nice to offer bikes or an ATV for a price to get to town.

Everything was top class: service, speed of answering to our requests, recommendations, location, palm views - just perfect. Wifi at good speed (20+mbps).

Construction of 3 new apts on top may lead to higher occupancy on the property. Just becomes busier, but hard to judge. I would add a lighted sign from the road for nighttime arrivals.

We enjoyed all the apartment amenities and the pool! The hosts were the best and answered all questions promptly and with a smile!

You cannot leave the AC on when you leave the apartment.

Very charming and confortable resort in the best location of Santa Teresa. Lot of space and very good equipment with a beautiful view. Nice terrace for sunset overlooking the pool and additional one backyard with jungle view. Very quite little street but close to everything you need. Excellent wifi if you need to work online. Marilin our host was helpful and very kind. we absolutely recommend it!

The location and tranquility of the apartment is amazing, it really was the favourite place of my whole trip which I didn't want to leave. It's a short walk off the main road so it's quiet but really easy and quick to get to the beach and restaurants etc. Marilin and James are wonderful hosts, super easy to contact and really kind and helpful. The bed was really big and vert comfy and the apartment is sparkling clean with everything you need, pool towels, great AC, fast wifi, fully equipped kitchen. Such a lovely pool too, a great place to hang out and watch the monkeys and birds. It felt like home!

Very comfortable king bed and quiet and cool. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was great with hot water. The pool is a great place to hang out after a long day on the beach. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The property is close to the beach but just far enough to be away from the busy main street.. I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing missing was a toaster but that is not a deal breaker.

Beautiful modern apartment in the heart of Santa Teresa but a little of the main road so it was very quiet and peaceful. The infinity pool was great and we could easily walk to the beach and restaurants. We loved the host dogs as well! Rocket is there best. It was especially nice to have a kitchen to cook breakfasts.

We had an issue with large ants but that's to be expected in the jungles.

With Altamar we have made the best choice for us. The apartment is super nice, with great attention to detail, very clean and has a great view. Altamar is very centrally located but also it is quiet there. In only 2 minutes away you can find some good restaurants, a supermarket and it is close to the beach. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We would come back any time and wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to everyone!

We loved our stay at Altamar. Our hosts were incredibly accommodating and the apartment had everything we needed including a fully functional kitchen, fast wifi, a cute living space, air-conditioning, and a wonderful outdoor area with a great view. We also loved the easy access to the pool, downtown and the beach. The location was perfect and there was easy parking on site. During our visit, we scheduled a surf lesson with one of the hosts - which I can't recommend highly enough. James was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly during our lesson.

We had a few minor issues with lizards and large bugs getting into the apartment.

Flat is great, clean and comfortable. The staff is super nice and helpful. Wifi is super fast. Located In center of Santa Teresa but up the hill from the main road so you do not get all the noise and no dust.

Parking there is a bit of a challenge. Location if you want to be in the center of the action is great but personally I would have preferred a quieter location. Swimming pool lacks shade.

The apartment was clean, cozy and felt newly done. My boyfriend and I especially loved the pool! Great value too if you are looking for a quiet, secure space with a modern feel. Marilin was accommodating and she even helped me with getting my covid test scheduled, as well as set up a taxi for me to get to Tambor airport which we really appreciated. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely be staying longer next time!
