Great stay! Super relaxing and enjoyable!

The ONLY thing that could have been better is that the master bedroom's sliding door was off track and never fixed. The cleaning lady was there when we arrived and she noticed it as well as us. She said she would report it and take it to the property tenders. She said they would have it fixed ASAP. We never heard anything from them. BUT other than that small issue it was a WONDERFUL place to stay for a PERFECT vacation!!

Very comfortable accommodations with everything we needed. So amazing to be right on the ocean - amazing view and space to enjoy from the deck. Beach access and pool were all very convenient and we enjoyed lots of time at both :)

The property was as is on site. Had some issues with plumbing n dishwasher backing up on kitchen floor n guest bathroom. Called n got great response although I really think there’s a plumbing problem the dishwasher would run but dishes did not get cleaned. We weren’t doing too much cooking so to wash as we went was fine One thing I think owners didn’t know construction debris was left in parking area nails in boards missed our tires by 2 inches. We moved them but should thrown out n one chair for beach was broke no big deal needed a couple for home so we handled that. Also indoor pool was a good bit down the road n was closed so couldn’t use especially since we got rained out Friday n Saturday. All in all we had a good time relaxed n enjoyed our family guests traveling couple we travel with a lot

This property is amazing! Beautiful view! Literally in the dunes! Clean, comfortable, well maintained home. Excellent communication with owner. Had a great time! Planning our next trip and hope to stay here again!

Beautiful view! Close to everything!

We stayed many times at this property and we always have a great time. The property is always nice and well stocked the views are amazing and the food is fabulous. We highly recommend the Carolina boil company for all your seafood needs and islands Mexican grill for a great lunch. Also planet smoothie for the best smoothie ever.

The condo was nicely decorated and extremely clean! Normally with VRBO, we bring toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish detergent and garbage bags. We were pleasantly surprised to find all of these already in place and we could immediately begin our vacation. Little touches, such as this, mean a great deal. The beds we’re comfortable and all of the comforters, sheets and extra blankets were clean and in good condition. Bath towels were neatly stacked on each bed awaiting. The bedrooms were on opposite ends so you aren’t wall to wall next to someone. The master has sliding doors directly to the deck where the dunes and beach are just steps away! The living room had clean and comfortable, good size couches. The back deck overlooking the beautiful beach was the highlight of the evening and early mornings. The beach was gorgeous and not crowded at all. For a small town, it had choices for breakfast and dinner and Carolina and Wilmington are within 15-30 minutes. Kure is quiet and we enjoyed that ambience. John could not have been more accommodating and communication was excellent. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will I will be booking again! Thank you for sharing your home and allowing my cousin and myself to have beautiful memories of our time spent at Lire Beach!

Property is right on the beach. Everything was clean. Floors are new. Toilets are water-savers, sometimes struggle even with toilet paper. Countertops new. Cabinets not the best quality. Many air registers were well-rusted. All the above are minor things. The bed we slept in was brand new and very firm. Fridge and dishwasher in good working order. It was great to open the deck door and just listen to the ocean. Great location. We wanted to just kick back and do nothing for a few days and this place was perfect for it. Owner gave us a detailed email before we came that outlined everything well.

We went to celebrate our 10th anniversary and had a wonderful relaxing time. The view was AMAZING. We were right by the aquarium and the ferry.

The overall trip was great! The property was awesome with easy access to the beach, outdoor pools with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a recreational center with equipment to use for shuffle board, tennis, and basketball. The unit provided access to beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon. Shaded parking under the unit was also a huge benefit. The condo itself could use a few upgrades. The kitchen pots/utensils/plates need updating, several were heavily used and damaged. There was an unexpected visit from the dryer vent maintenance crew. Communication with the owner was vague with spotty wifi and other issues that he was alerted to, in addition I had to contact him a couple of times in order to receive the arrival instructions. Overall, it was a really good vacation, but with a little upkeep and improvements, the condo could be fantastic.

Outstanding beach stay.

Experienced a slight delay with check in, but owners and property manager took care of us right away and made things right. Beautiful views, easy access to ocean, and very quiet this time of year - early April. Thankful for a relaxing getaway.

We greatly appreciated staying at this property in Kure Beach, NC over the New Year's weekend holiday. We stayed 4 nights over the holiday to celebrate my parents' recent retirement. My spouse and I decided to treat them, so this was a 4-day weekend getaway with just 4 of us. The 4 of us comfortably stayed at this 2-bedroom and 2-bathroom condo. The living room was the best feature of the place due to the great views of the beach from the couches inside. The place was clean and the beach the condo is on is also very clean and lots of wildlife this time of year (many unique beach birds, from pelicans diving in the water to seagulls and other types). We were very lucky as the weather was unusually warm and mostly dry so we really got outside. The condo is very close to Fort Fisher, which also has beautiful beaches and paths to walk on, and to the ferry that takes you to Southport. We did both of these things and it was only 5-10 minute drive tops! The restaurants were fine for us so we didn't understand some of the reviews about this, but our only complaint is if you stay over summer when it is crowded maybe they are just overwhelmed at the handful of restaurants in Kure Beach and service goes down as a result. However, Carolina Beach and Wilmington are so close by car you can eat at places there too, which we did. Also this time of year is GREAT to visit as Kure Beach is fully decorated for Christmas (the Island of Christmas Lights) and the locals are very kind here. We hope to stay here again this time of year next year. If we had only one real complaint about the place, the kitchenware to cook with is old and should be updated. The beds were very comfortable, but the rooms were a bit musty smelling (not overpowering or anything but somewhat noticeable). Other than that, I still give this place 5 stars and the owner was very great about communication and answering our questions so quickly. You can tell the owner is a legit owner and cares about the guests staying there. Thank you John!

Newer towels, sheets, kitchen utensils would make property much better

My family and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and we’re already ready to book our next trip! Right on the ocean and perfect size. We definitely stay here again!!

The views are wonderful. You have easy beach access. There are a few beach chairs, umbrellas, beach carts and sand toys. No cooler or beach towels. The resort and condo are dated. The living room and kitchen have had some upgrades, but are a little rough around the edges. Kitchen seemed well stocked. They included garbage bags, paper towels, dish soap, & hand soap. The bedrooms and bathrooms need more updates, many stains on the master carpet. It is musty smelling. It is an end unit, so only 1 neighbor next door and 1 above. You can hear upstairs neighbor walking around and their water running when they flush or shower, but the waves are so loud neighbor noise is hardly noticeable. Make sure you get an email from the owner before you go, you’ll need to print parking & guest passes.

It's hard to find the words for how wonderful everything was in this VRBO rental ON Kure beach! The host, John, thought of every detail to make the stay so comfortable and even luxurious. Sitting out on the deck at sunrise - like I said, no words. The location is close to everything you could need yet has the peace of a small beach town. My sister and I loved every minute and will be back!

Location was great, views was perfect. Condo was showing end of season wear and tear, there were a few miscommunications as to how condo was stocked, and a few cleaning issues. All in all we had a very good trip, would consider this property again.

Rental was nice and equipped with all of our needs. Beaches were uncrowded and outdoor pools were just one building over in either direction. Sunny skys at start of our week and high winds at the end due to Hurricane Ian. Either way we enjoyed our stay.

Easy access to beach. Tried 5 restaurants and they were all bad. Go somewhere else to eat! Bed and bedding could have been a lot nicer. Uncomfortable cheap sheets and old bed mattress. Did not stay the whole week.

This was our second stay and it did not disappoint. The location is key for us—we spend most of our time outside—but the condo was clean, comfy, well-stocked and just right. Will we stay here again? Absolutely.
