The house is clean and equipped with all necessities. The lake and forest view is stunning! We enjoyed this cozy home and would recommend to our friends who would like to visit the Olympic National Park in the future.

We loved this home! We wanted to hike in Olympic National Park for a few days and chose this home based on the location. The home is fresh and feels new. Everything was clean and modern. The kitchen was fully stocked- we cooked dinner each night and had everything we needed for amazing meals. There was a Weber grill, but we didn't use it. The beds were so comfortable- fell right asleep (seriously, probably among the most comfortable beds we have ever been in)! The home has a wonderful view of the lake and the mountains, which we enjoyed. The upper balcony off the loft was a wonderful place to sit and have a cocktail and relax looking at the mountains. There is also a side deck off of the kitchen perfect for having dinner or relaxing. At night, we had great views of the stars with minimal light interference. Our host was responsive to all of our questions and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. We would definitely choose this home again! A few logistics... we are coffee people (we left at 6am for hikes). They have a Keurig, so bring your own Kcups. BUT, they also have a French press, which gave us amazing coffee each morning, so if you travel with your own grounds, this is a win! The home is in a gated community, so you get a key card to let you in. Get your groceries in Port Angeles- but there is a general store within walking distance if you need something quick. The home is in a lake-side community, and there was a paddle boat that we saw at the house, but we weren't sure if we were allowed to use it- and there were no life jackets, so aside from a designated swimming area that is roped off, this is probably not a "lake-house". No worries, though, because Olympic National Park has literally everything you need: hiking trails, beaches, rain forest! Loved this home and would recommend it to everyone!

Everywhere you looked, the view of the lake was gorgeous. The house had views from the living room, loft and porch. We enjoyed relaxing and watching the sun set. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the games and the comfy couch! Great spot to jump into the park!

We rented here because it was close to many popular hikes in Olympic National Park. The property was nicer than expected. Our only complaint was that the weather was so rainy that we didn’t get to properly enjoy the outdoor space. The home is in a truly lovely setting with spectacular views of the lake.

This house is on a private lake with a couple of water equipment to enjoy. It is also very close to lake crescent area with tons of activities. The host was also very nice and flexible. We'll probably stay here again if going to that area.

We enjoyed our stay. The location and views of the surrounding mountains and lake are really amazing. The only problem we encountered is that most of the patio furniture does not have cushions so we had a difficult time getting comfortable outside. It was a bummer because the views are so amazing and we couldn’t enjoy them fully. The listing had photos of the furniture with cushions so we did feel let down when we arrived and realized they were missing. Tara did let me know that another guest ruined them but we spent good money to rent a place with outdoor space so they should have been replaced in my opinion. Aside from that we had a great stay and would recommend to family and friends. The access to the lake was a nice bonus.

We loved this magical home. Our family with four teenagers stayed here for four nights as a base for a hiking trip through various days in Olympic National Park. It was a wonderful spot and very tranquil in the area where I truly don’t think there are many places that can be so relaxing and central. The lake is just beautiful to look out at and there are ample spaces for comfortable living as well as gorgeous decks and an outside eating area. The hosts were very helpful and responsive and the home had all amenities we needed. I would most definitely come back here and cannot recommend it enough having rented many many places over the years this is truly at the top of our list!!!

We needed a change of scenery and this was a great, comfortable base camp for hiking in Olympic National Park. Great for families with kids.

I couldn’t be more thrilled with this perfect property. I’m only trying to figure out when I can book it again. The lake is incredible, the house is pristine, you’ll want for nothing and it’s just a truly excellent property in every way!

We loved sitting out on the upstairs deck, enjoying the peaceful lake view. The home was very clean and provided plenty of space for the four of us. It was a good location to visit multiple areas of Olympic National Park from.

This is a fantastic place to stay to see Olympic National Park. Super convenient location (relatively speaking) to the sights of Olympic National Park, with a very comfortable floorplan, tastefully decorated throughout, and a well-appointed kitchen. Lack of wifi was a minus for the 11-year-old, but dad was very happy. Thanks Tara!

The property is very clean and nicely decorated. The neighborhood is exceptionally quiet. Trip Advisor indicated Lake Sutherland could be crowded and loud due to jet skis but we did not see any evidence of this.

We arrived and everything was very clean and ready for us. We stayed two nights, wish we had stayed a extra night to just enjoy coffee on the deck and relax. Would stay there again!

My friend and I grew up in Port Angeles. We were back for our 20-year reunion with our families. We always went to friend's cabins growing up and love the lake like all of us do. It was the perfect setting. The house sits off by itself so there is plenty of parking and room for the kids to run (and be rowdy). We had a family of 5 and 4 - it fit us all perfect! There is a full-size bunk bed with a trundle, so all the kids could have a sleepover. The bed downstairs is perfect for a couple. The washer and dryer is a nice touch, especially with kids. The upstairs loft has its own restroom, bed, and sleeper sofa. There is also toys for the kids and a great balcony with these great lounge chairs where we slept at night. It is a short walk to the Maple Grove dock. A slide and a handmade swimming pool with docks on three sides and buoys. Perfect for kids 5 - 8. We launched our friend's boat and used the house's slip. Everything was easy to clean because the house is in immaculate condition. Trisha, the owner, responded whenvever we had questions quickly. There even was a Fussball table outside!
