Tip Ellen est une maison minable arrogante sur l'île Pawleys et une survivante de l'ouragan Hugo. Construite avec amour et soin, cette maison crée un cadre magnifique pour des vacances à la plage familiales et abordables. En mai 2015, cette maison a été entièrement rénovée. Planchers de bois franc, comptoir en granit et évier en acier inoxydable dans la cuisine, nouvelle couche de peinture extérieure, nouvelle galerie à l'avant et bien plus encore! Une fois à l'intérieur, la maison présente une combinaison confortable de salon, salle à manger et cuisine comprenant la télévision par câble, un four micro-ondes, une table à manger, des sièges confortables et bien plus encore. Si seulement les belles parois de pin noueuses pouvaient parler ... les histoires de familles jouant aux cartes ou prenant un repas seraient répercutées. La maison a quatre chambres �� coucher et deux salles de bain. La literie comprend une reine, deux doubles, une double et deux doubles. Les équipements supplémentaires incluent une nouvelle literie, de nouvelles chaises paresseuses dans le salon, une connexion Wi-Fi, une climatisation, un lave-linge / sèche-linge, un parking couvert et une douche ext��rieure ferm��e avec eau chaude / froide.

Outshined and dwarfed by the newer, bigger, more modern houses, this home provides the experience of an “arrogantly shabby” island where casual and laid back were a way of life. In fact it’s kind of sad for those of us who experienced the old Pawley’s to see it so changed. The cabin is very small - 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and television area in less than 1000 square ft. Still it was adequate for 8 of us. The outdoor shower and huge screen porch made the space seem much larger. The only thing that would have made the screen porch better would have been a view of the ocean, but we were not expecting a view. Short walk to beach and mostly quiet street. Never saw a bug in or around the home. It would benefit greatly from new fridge and stove with a working light and exhaust fan and electrical outlets in the 2nd bathroom. Some of the furniture has been updated and others could use an update. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. The A/C worked well. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, but we think it would not work well for more than 7 or 8 people. The beach is beautiful and we rented a golf cart for riding around the island. It was a fun week

We have been staying at Pawleys Island for over 30 years now and although we were expecting a more traditional Pawleys house, this was a bit more on the shabby side than we anticipated. The house has all of its original charm but it also has windows that won't stay open if they even open and don't have screens if you can get them to stay open-not ideal when you want to get the fresh ocean air and hear the waves. The kitchen was not very functional with no light over the stove to cook by, a rusted and broken fridge, and seriously under equipped cooking utensils, pots, and pans. We rent a house specifically to be able to cook at the house and it was not easy here. The beds were said to have been replaced recently but I can assure you they are not new mattresses-the bed I slept in specifically had a massive dip right in the middle. The house in general was just dark and not what you would hope for when renting at the beach. That being said-the location is great-it really is about a 1 minute walk to the beach. We had zero issue with bugs as a previous review had stated. The screened in porch is large and the rocking chairs is where we spent all our time other than the beach as the living space inside is pretty tight. Overall this could be a super great beach house rental but I feel that the property owners need to actually invest in some basic comforts that someone would expect when renting a home at Pawleys Island.

This house was a HUGE disappointment! It appears that the owner never visits the house or just does not care for its current condition or desire to improve it. Bugs in one of the beds, appliances outdated, cabinets without doors. Table seats 4 when this house supposedly sleeps 12! Nicest thing I can say is that it had air conditioning and a roof.

The beach access was a 2-minute walk.. if you’re looking for a modern, shiny house, this one is not for you. We rented the house for a mini vacation . The house is older, which I appreciate and had plenty of beds for everyone to sleep in. We spent the evenings playing cards on the screened in porch and had enough room to park the boat under the house. It was close and easy to get to the beach. A great time was had by all!

We were warmly welcomed when we got to the office. Tip Ellen is on Pawleys Island S.C.We had looked for a place for some time. It seems most places will take Dogs but not Cats. We were aloud to take my cat. She is 11 yrs old, declawed and just sits watching the birds and car on the front porch of Tip Ellen. It is a big porch and is all screened in. We loved it sitting outside with the cat and not worry about her walking away. That was the first time she has ever been outside except to go to the vet for shots. Tip Ellen is a very old place but in not a bad location. We were on the row back from the beach so could not see the ocean unless we walked ( which is a short distance ) to go see the ocean.The place has a front stairs and a back stairs. You walk up the front stairs onto the big porch and in to the living room. Knotty Pine is on the walls, 4 bedroom,2 with queen beds and the other 2 bedrooms have 2 full size beds in them. So it can sleep 12 people. It has 2 full baths in the house and under the house is the laundry room with washer and dryer and toilet. they also have a shower to rinse off the sand after going swimming or playing in the sand.A new refrigerator and stove and all the utensils you will need including plates cups coffee pot. Al you need is towels ( or you can rent them ).Overall it is a nice place,it is being updated in places. I would come back again but we like to sit and see the ocean from the house. We have had a great time here except for the cold weather we had this year. **** & Faye

It was a great location overall! Better than expected , as far as closeness and convince to the beach ! We definitely enjoyed our stay here , the only thing I would say is the first night in our beds there in 2 of the beds we noticed a lot of sand in the beds that appeared to be freshly made .with that being said however , we would stay here again reguardless!

This is the 2nd time I have rented a house on Pawlweys Island in September. It is an excellent choice if you want to get away from your normal routine. The house has everything you need to sleep, and feed a herd of friends or family providing you stop at the grocery store on the way out to the island. You can still get in the water well into October, it can't be beat for a fall break.

This house is what I think of when I think of Pawleys Island. Simple, quiet, restful, relaxing. No frills just honest beach. It has just about the best second row location possible and with enough room for a family. And although older, it was as clean as a new home. Suzanne is quick in communicating and accommodating above all else. She cares about your experience. I would highly recommend Tide Life for anyone who desires good service and a great vacation.

This is the second year we have stayed in this house with the property management being Tidelife. Tidelife has been great to work with and they will jump right on any problem you might have. This house is named Tip Ellen and it was built in 1956, which means it has weathered a number of storms and survived them all. We love the older houses as they have a lot of character. The house was clean and they had upgraded several chairs in the living area and also on the porch. The location of the house is great, bing on second row and 5 minutes to the beach. We have recommended the house to at least 6 other couples.

We are in the middle of a 3 month stay at Tip Ellen. We appreciate being able to have our dog "Dolly" stay here with us. We were a little disappointed in having the public beach at the end of the road closed for repairs after the hurricane in 2016. Now that it is open, we use it almost every day. We are 1 row back from the beach, very close but not much of a view (we did know that before we rented). Owners were very nice and helpful. It is a great area, very friendly people. Cottage has everything we need, it is an older place and homey if you aren't expecting luxury and modernity.

It is VERY DATED, There is NO view, it is further than 120 steps and the bed in the master bedroom is OLD and LUMPY!!

The Tip-Ellen house was quite perfect for my immediate and extended family. Conveniently located between the creek side boat dock and more importantly beach access. An enjoyable kayak ride from one point to the other was about an hour and no vehicles were required. Early morning to early evening spent on the beach. Nearly every night was spent playing cards around the dinner table. Lots of dolphins, a loggerhead turtle and some other various sea life was at our fingertips.

Gracefully aged
The Tip-Ellen house was quite perfect for my immediate and extended family. Conveniently located between the creek side boat dock and more importantly beach access. An enjoyable kayak ride from one point to the other was about an hour and no vehicles were required. Early morning to early evening spent on the beach. Nearly every night was spent playing cards around the dinner table. Lots of dolphins, a loggerhead turtle and some other various sea life was at our fingertips.

The property does need a few updates. Two mattresses were completely worn out and very uncomfortable, and the dishwasher had issues. There is a concrete trip hazard at the bottom of the stairs that caused one fall and quite a few trips. With those few updates it would be a wonderful rental.

You know what's nice about a quaint beach invites the family togetherness that I miss and value so much! We played board games, beach games, cooked together in the perfectly adequate kitchen, then grilled and dined on the screened porch.
