Le chalet récemment inscrit fait partie de la jolie propriété Green Gables dans la partie nord d'Ephraim, et est à distance de marche des galeries, des magasins, du mini-golf, du petit-déjeuner et de la pizza, et à quelques minutes en voiture du village d'Ephraim et de l'eau. Cozy, quaint, relaxing. 4days of eating at great restaurants, beautiful sights. The kitchen had everything needed, fireplace was wonderful to end our day. Beds were comfortable and beautiful grounds.

Plum Retreat was spacious and immaculate.
Colin emailed the check in code a few days prior to arrival and entering the unit was so easy. It was a pleasant surprise to be greeted with fresh flower arrangements from the garden! Some special touches in addition to coffee pods and a well stocked kitchen were a bag of ice in the freezer and half and half pods in the frig, air freshener in the bathroom. The primary bed was super comfortable, Wi-Fi worked fast, the furnishings in the living room were also very comfortable. Nice outdoor seating and a beautiful garden to explore. Loved our stay and look forward to returning.

We can't say enough about our delightful stay at the Plum Retreat! It was spacious but cozy and homey and allowed our ladies group to have a place to call "home" on our weekend away from our families. Comfy beds, amenities (like facial wipes, coffee and creamers), cozy fireplace, and its own Netflix account are just some of the extras that we so appreciated. Host Colin is personable and very responsive via message or phone. What a gem of a VRBO!

My wife walked in the house and said, "This place is beautiful." We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and well lit. The outside was nicely decorated with flowers. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We hope to make it back next year.

We picked this property over all others available based on location and uniformly high ratings. Very central location that made it easy to get to all planned activities between Newport, Penninsula Park and Baileys Harbor. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Very helpful and responsive host/owner. We highly recommend to others.

Everything that was written about the plum cottage was 100% spot on. Communications with Colin were quick and timely. The cottage was fully equipped with not one thing that we could think of that was missing. The beds were extremely comfortable. And we look forward to coming here in the summer to see the beautiful gardens. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We escaped to Door County for two nights post-Thanksgiving and the Plum Retreat was the perfect spot for us.
This spotless, quiet, and beautifully decorated space afforded us a wonderful and comfortable weekend.
Colin was an amazing and responsive host. He even brought over a few necessary cooking items that were not provided in the kitchen as we hosted dinner parties both evenings. The main level common area is roomy, well laid out, and allows for views of the gardens from every window.
The two upstairs bedrooms provided a bright and expansive respite after our late evenings entertaining.
While we were only at the Plum Retreat for two nights, we heartily recommend it.

What a breath of fresh air! Plum cottage was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. Situated in a prime Door County location close to everything. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and large windows provided a lot of natural light and views of the spectacular flower gardens. Colin was a wonderful host.

Colin was a wonderfully responsive host and has created the perfect Door County vacation rental. This was a sister trip with 5 adult sisters and we loved everything! The beds were very comfortable, the home very clean and the location was close to everything we wanted to do in Door County. The gardens are spectacular and deserve a review of their own! We would all recommend this property and would love to stay there again!

WONDERFUL!
We met with a group of cousins at Door County and stayed at Green Gables. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. The house was beautiful and very clean. It was relaxing sitting outside by the flower gardens in the morning. The house is centrally located so it is easy access to the many things to do at Door County. We highly recommend this VRBO.

A perfect family cottage
We loved everything about our stay.. from the location to the property to all the little touches inside. Our host was wonderful and we had a wonderful cottage retreat.. even with cranky teenagers in tow. That just shows the magic of this place!

Beautiful and quiet house in great location
This is a very well cared for property that was a delight to stay in. The owner was very helpful and friendly, even leaving fresh flowers from the gardens in a vase for us to enjoy upon arrival. There were beautiful views of the fall foliage from all windows and the fireplace was great to relax by. It was so convenient to travel up or down the peninsula from this location and even walk to local shops or restaurants. The house lived up to the beautiful pictures on the site and then some. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy home away from home to stay in. Also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio looking out over the lovely gardens.

Spectacular Gem
We visit Door County often and have stayed in a variety of accommodations, from camping at Peninsula State Park to hotels to a large coachhouse in Fish Creek. The House at Green Gables is far and above my favorite place! It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Ephraim and Sister Bay, but close enough to still enjoy all the restaurants and shops the towns have to offer. We did a getaway with my son and daughter-in-law, celebrating our birthdays. The house is just perfect for this kind of getaway. The main living space has an open floor layout, with plenty of windows and light flowing throughout. It's elegantly appointed throughout. There's a cozy fireplace with a gas starter which we enjoyed both evenings; a professional gas grill on the convenient patio right outside; and a record player! My son brought some of his favorite jazz albums and we enjoyed Etta and Louie and Frank Sinatra the whole weekend. The gardens are beautifully tended and Colin even had a vase of freshly picked flowers waiting for us on the large dining room table. And the beds were so comfortable and well appointed. It's the perfect setting for conversation, reading a book on a cozy morning, and cooking a lovely dinner. We plan on returning here for a family getaway every year

The pictures & reviews sealed my decision to book this listing for a birthday/sister 3 night getaway. It did not disappoint...was a very quaint, spacious and clean cottage home. The beds are extremely comfortable, outfitted with luxurious bedding for a great nights sleep. The lg. kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The L.R. had ample furniture to stretch out for group conversation while enjoying the warmth from the F.P on chilly evenings. The outdoor patio was also a plus to sip coffee while enjoying the early morning sunshine and fresh air.
The location couldn't have been better, centrally located for quick access to towns both north and south as it's just right off of Hwy. 42, yet quiet and peaceful.
Very apparent Colin has given this home much love and care, as well as, his thoughtfulness in providing extra touches for guests use ensuring a carefree warm welcome stay.
Colin's communication was timely and detailed for a smooth easy check-in and instructions for our visit.

Nice and quiet stay
My husband and I spent a few days here the week before Labor Day weekend. It's a very nice place, clean, spacious, perfect for a quiet get-away but great for a family as well since it has 2 separate bedrooms with ample sleeping space.
Colin was very easy to communicate with and he checked in with us to make sure everything was ok.
We very much liked the location of the property. Ephraim is a beautiful town with nice shops and restaurants close to the water.
There are two apartments in the house. During our stay, the second one was empty so we had the whole place to ourselves.
We would definitely stay here again.
