We stayed at the sunshine cafe for two nights and had a wonderful time - it ticks all the boxes! It’s in a great location and only a quick 2 minute walk to the most beautiful beach that is so lovely and quiet! The hosts are lovely and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We ate breakfast, lunch & dinner here and it was all SO delicious. The food is so fresh and flavoursome(especially the seafood)as well as being great value. The room was lovely and big with an outdoor kitchen and private terrace area. It was lovely and peaceful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and enjoying the view of the beautiful garden. Give this place a go - you won’t regret it! I liked all, the room was nice and clean. The area is very very quiet and in the nature, the garden for me was amazing. I suggest this place to anyone is looking for a deep relax. The beach is very close and quiet too, I liked it because it's not too much touristic. The host was very kind with me and he cooked very delicious dishes! I hope to come back next year and stay more time.

It was a wonderful experience at Ramanis and Shantas place. They are very welcoming and friendly hosts. The garden is beautiful and you can see so much wildlife, like Warana, Monkeys, Birds and Butterflys. We spend so much time relaxing on our porch with the sound of the waves in the background. The food was amazing. It is a little pricey compared to Sri Lankan prices, but worth it. Also the coffee was really good which is quite rare in Sri Lanka. They help you plan your trips and give you good recommendations. If you have a problem, just ask. They will make almost everything possible. The atmosphere was very family like. We had nice chats and Ramani showed me one afternoon how to cook Sri Lankan dishes. The beach is so beautiful and calm. There are just a few hotels that you almost don't recognize because of the big palm trees. At the end of the beach is a big lagoon you can visit. The waves are strong, but if you are not afraid you can go, enjoy and play in the water. Just a few minutes to the main road you can catch a bus that takes you to Tangalle in a short time. So if you want to escape the touristy atmosphere that you find in Tangalle and all the other ocean side Cities and relax and unwind, sunshine cafe is the place to be.
