It has a nice location by the river; easy walk to the theatre.

The windows (as they are in most rooms) have been screwed shut. Fresh air is therefore impossible and the only option is a noisy, wasteful air-con system; a shocking waste of energy. After raising this we were moved to a smaller room where the cistern took 15 minutes to fill which required us to fill a waste bucket with water ‘just in case’. Superficially, the decor looks OK but closer inspection shows how tatty it has become. Sad really. We’ve used this hotel for 10 years but never again.

it is the perfect location to explore the local area and go to the theatre. I have stayed here before and am always impressed by the friendly and helpful staff.

The only thing that would have made it better would be if the path across the grass to the main road had some lights dotted along the path.

The location of the hotel was superb, jusr a quick walk to the town. The room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was lovely. I waa so tempted to book and stay an extra night but had to get back home!

We had an exceptional stay at the Crown Plaza. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, especially regarding my husband's disability. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the shower was very easy to use and suitable for my husband as it was walk-in. Everything was very clean. The restaurant was very good and again staff were extremely helpful both for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is very central to the middle of Stratford and very convenient.

It is expensive but in this case you get what you pay for. It was a shame that the spa and swimming pool were closed but this was because of the recent flooding so could not be helped. The restaurant was a little chilly in the evenings. It would be nice to have more than one arm chair in the room as it was spacious enough.

Welcoming, so clean, all staff friendly, helpful and super keen for us to have a comfortable experience.

Called reception for glasses to drink water with 2 times. Had to go to the bar myself as didn’t arrive.

The location next to the river and near the centre of Stratford made for a fabulous place to stay overall, with shops, bars, and the theatre all in close proximity. We were able to check in early, which is always nice, and the food at breakfast was suitably fresh, tasty and satisfied all morning eating needs!! The facilities were decent, with a reasonable gym, and wet area, although the pool was not very conducive to any form of swim training, with its size, and shape. The room was perfectly fine, ample size, with limited noise distractions and that was about it… nice, worth a 24-hour stay, mostly great.

The staff were a bit disappointing, with aggressive tones at check-in, unhelpful and lacking any sort of energy or engagement in the gym, and inadequate in the dining area, forgetting orders. The room was a bit musty, which could have been the time of year, but also felt like it needed a bit of freshness throughout.

Great breakfast and location. We could not check in early due to a busy day at the hotel, a conference was on. Room very spacious and bed was huge. Pillows were a bit uncomfortable.

Awoke to machine noises twice in the night. I thought on the 3rd floor this wouldn't be a problem but it was clearly audible. The vegetarian sausages at breakfast were not very nice.

Bar was expensive but to be expected

Room was great and small problem in the bathroom sorted out immediately. Location was perfect, ideal for the theatre. Breakfast good too with plenty of choice.

With a conference on it was difficult to get served in the bar. We waited 20 minutes in the bar to be served and eventually gave up and went to bed. It appeared that those who shouted loudest were served. Room was a little cold and we couldn’t find the thermostat.

Beautiful lounge, bar and reception. Wonderful breakfast and the location was excellent for looking around Stratford. The room was lovely and spacious. Everything felt like a luxurious treat.

The shower was very weak and the booking from booking.com hadn’t gone through even though we had already paid for the room. Fortunately they were able to give us a room but it was not nice turning up to find they hadn’t got our booking. They gave us a free drink to make up for it.

The spa opening times need to be more obviously posted somewhere, we didn't realise it shut as early as it did.
