A special place with amazing views to the western-coast archipelago
We had a family weekend at the Panorama hotel (4 adults), celebrating our wedding anniversary, and had booked a junior suite and a seafront Rorbu suite. The place and the suites have amazing views to the western Norway archipelago. We were blessed with a day of sunshine and enjoyed the beautiful small beach outside of the hotel as well as the spa, which was nice. We had the 3-course-dinner at the hotel both evenings, and the food was of high quality, absolutely worth the price. Dinner service was perfect and breakfast was excellent!
When we asked for lunch, the reception had to ask in the restaurant if it was available, and it felt like we were not very welcome. The menu was presented by the phone of the receptionist, and had only three choices. Two of them were fried food. All in all, we were very happy with the dinner, but not the lunch. Our adult children shared a junior suite, with amazing views. The description on the web told us that the double bed in the suits could be parted into separate beds. When we arrived, there was a double bed which could not be parted. As there was a sister and a brother sharing the room, this was a problem, but the hotel let them use of of the bunk beds, so the problem was solved. Our problem with the junior suite, was that there was no fridge. This is something that we expect in a junior suite. Also, there was only a mixed hair and body shampoo, and no conditioner or body lotion, which we also expect to find in a room with this price and standard. The location of the hotel was beautiful, but hard to reach. The only way to get there, was to rent a car or take a taxi from Bergen or Sotra. We asked the hotel if there was a pick-up service from the nearby bus station (2 km), but they could not promise to help with that. The taxi trip to/from Bergen was pretty expensive (100-120 euro). I think that the hotel should consider a pick-up service to the nearby bus station.

Not the best experience for us, you may have better luck
A large resort spread out over a large area, with a little private beach and a little marina. Down the hill in front of the marina are eight condo/timeshare units. Fairy small in size. Four on the second floor are loft style with small kitchens. Up on top of the hill are sixteen condo/timeshare suite units. The suites are small but have nice balconies. Rectangular with the narrow side facing the water, about 12' with floor to ceiling windows. We did not see any of the large corner units shown in the preview pictures. The upper building had false window fronts on the sides. That said the units are nice. Scandinavian minimalist. Clean, well maintained. Very little ventilation. The central unit fan blew only a whisper even at highest setting. We had to open the doors and windows to get airflow. The massive main building is a conference center. Up on the 4th floor is a sauna and a pair of jacuzzis outside on a deck. Very nice. The 30-room +/- three story building to the side of the conference center is managed by a separate company, a private wellness center. No access, restricted access. And we had a number of noise issues due to their total disregard for resort guests. For example, they ran a noisy building shaking machine virtually nonstop from 18:00 - 22: 00 on Friday. Then the machine ran on and off all day Saturday. You couldn't get away from the noise in your room. Breakfast was very good, with a small selection of local foods. Worth it!
Very noisy for what should be a peaceful quiet place

Very good
I really like the jacuzzi and sauna and its were for free with a magnificent view, I enjoyed the big comfortable room with a nice balcony that face a wonderful and beautiful view.. the staff were very kind. I like that the room has Nespresso and kandy it was a nice touch...
even the bathroom was wide but didn't include a soap kit, like it's a resort so I expect for a lovely nice soap and shampoo.

It's No longer a Hotell and Resort.
The room size and view.
Beautiful New Junior suites with faboulos view to the sea. But sadly the room was quite dirty. The toilet was dirty and it was dirty spots and hair on the pillow. I think they should inform in advance that all the hotell rooms, the old restaurant and more No longer is in use. It now work as a health care senter for WeCare. Very little is like before. I Will not go again, sadly. This is No longer a Hotell, nor can it be called a Resort. There is not 1 hotell room left all is rented out to www.wecareomsorg.no.

Relaxing in the Norwegian Archipelago before Bergen
The hotel stuff was extremely friendly and made it possible to use the SPA right after arrival, even though the opening hours differed. The breakfast was very good and the location is amazing to relax. Especially the jacuzzi on the rooftop. If you are in the area and are looking for a chill spot with high standards, this is the place to go! The restaurant and bar (brewery) in the cellar looked amazing.
Water in the shower only got semi-warm, not hot.
