Great location. Great hosts. Yianni the owner was very kind and helpful. He gave us some great recommendations for food. (Posodonio & Meltemi - both excellent). Despina was very good at communicating throughout. The chamber maid was very kind a friendly as well. There was house cleaning every day. There is good air conditioning and good WIFI. The parking was very easy but note that you will not be able to get your car out of the parking spot after 7pm as they short 50 metre road is blocked after 7pm for restaurants seating. Close proximity to all the restaurants, cafes bars etc. You can literally walk out the front door, walk down three steps across about 4 metres and you are the waters edge to a great little swimming beach. You also have an out door table and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine or two. Absolutely perfect. We highly recommend this place and thank our new friends Despina and Yianni for making this a very memorable stay. Cheers!

Brilliant location

We stayed in the deluxe apartment the first days and then in a studio. The deluxe apartment is more spacious and has a big shared terrace with comfortable chairs. The studio is smaller but felt more airy and private. The balcony is on the smaller side but excellent for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location of the place is the best in Kokkari! You avoid the hard winds coming in from the ocean but it’s still right next to the beach. It’s close to all the restaurants and cafes but without it being on a busy street.

The place could use some renovation. Especially the kitchenette. The chairs on the balcony felt like they were about to fall apart.

Host is very friendly and welcoming. We got a lot of support and had good conversations.

The apartment has a very unpleasant mouldy and musty odour. The sink smells also from time to time. Renovation works are not fully "completed".

Nice people nice place

Best place to stay in Kokkari! I was very impressed with Despina's place! It has everything you need, well stocked kitchenette (coffeemaker + some arrival refreshments), cold A/C, wifi was lightning fast, I worked remotely for a few days and video calls were no issue. The pillows! Probably the most comfortable pillows I've had in any european hotel. We were on the top floor and had a stunning views of both sides, the harbor, beach, and mountains. This made for beautiful sunsets and excellent breeze, we rarely had to use the A/C and instead listened to the waves crashing as you sleep. Despina is very sweet and accommodating, she made us feel right at home. She takes the precautions due to covid very seriously, so you really feel safe staying there and everything is exceptionally clean. I don't think you can find a better location or space in all of Samos! Thank you Despina! We hope to return soon.

Fantastic room with self catering facilities right on the seafront at Kokkari, lovely sea view. Despina greeted us on arrival and showed us the room, very bright and clean, plenty of plug sockets and air con. Very nice stay😁😁😁😎😎😎

The location could not get any better. This was our third visit to Kokkari, and Despina's house had the best location so far. It's right in front of the beach, and there are many other properties in Kokkari that are on the beach however all (except's Despina's house) are on the super windy coast of the beach. Not Despina's! Her house is on the tip of the beach and the balconies are facing the breezy (not super windy!) side. And it was so peaceful hearing the sound of the waves while sleeping. Despina is very friendly and hospitable. She was great at communicating before our check-in and always available during our stay. The rooms are serviced in proper professional start-rated hotel quality suggesting that Despina has significant experience in the tourism industry in a professional sense. Thank you, Despina, you made us feel welcomed!

The nightly rate is pricey considering the size and overall condition (facilities, size etc.) of the room. 90€ per night for a small room in need of modernisation with a tiny shower felt a bit too much. At the time of our booking, the taxes (VAT and city tax) didn't show up in the advertised price on booking.com, I only see it whenI proceeded to payment, and overall it increased the price by 37%. I could have not go ahead with the booking, and I was not overcharged in that sense, but seeing 113€ in the search results page and 180€ in the payment page was still disappointing. Maybe this was outside the control of the host.
