Very friendly hosts. Amazing food.

Small place, very nice and intimate. Clean room with extravagant outside wetroom. Our hosts, a young couple, were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious too. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property by the lagoon. Nice room with outdoor shower. Super nice pool and areas to relax. Peaceful and relaxing vibe. Yoga at the deck in the morning was so amazing, the staff and owners are super friendly and really serviceminded and the food nice. We will come back for sure☺️🙌🏻

All was good and we had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful, quiet little resort hidden at the back of the lagoon between the palm trees. It is run by the friendliest and most accommodating couple who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Do you want a chat? They are happy to talk about a multitude of subjects. Do you want to chill? They will make sure you can do so to the fullest. Their staff too is discreet, really friendly and helpful. The three houses and central dining place are decorated tastefully, truly a little paradise. We had an excellent stay here, being on our own due the politico-economic crisis, and can really recommend it!

The people, the food, the ease with which everything is handled at this place, very chill and relaxing. I hope to be back again one day.

I can't express the feeling with words! The place is so calm and comfortable, it's like paradise! Shibi and Dinesh with their staff are the most helpful, intelligent and friendly people you can imagine. Everything was more than perfect! We spend unforgettable holidays and we feel like we are with our best friends at home. We have yoga classes with the best teacher - Shibi, kite surfing and a lot of time with their wonderful dogs. We miss you and hope to see you soon!

Place and hosts were perfect ! The hotel is incredible, the cook is a genius, we spent a tremendous 5 days there. And there's even a kite school nextdoor Thanks again for the amazing experience.

I would rate this place for 20/10. It is truly a special place. Everything was more than perfect: the accommodation, the vegeterian food, the supportive and hospitable owners. We felt as if our friends invited us to their home. Evenings with good wine and laughter will stay in our memory forever. The place is perfect for Yoga lovers, or if you plan to kitesurf or if you are simply up to chilling in the private jungle by the swimming pool with a lagoon view.

Best stay in Sri Lanka by far. I have been to kalpitiya three times before and have found the place I will return to for the rest of my life. The food is incredible, everyday is different tasty and healthy meals with a lot of variety and flavor. The owners dinesh and Shibi help you with anything you need and go out of their way to ensure your comfort. It feels like staying at a good friend's place that has all the amenities you need and give you all the comforts or space you desire. Also, It's the prettiest part of the kalpitiya lagoon too and you wish to stay here longer and longer. The yoga every morning was blissful and in a world class location. The pool is a joy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The open air bathrooms are incredible. The kite school next door is well equipped for all your needs. No wonder the prorperty has such good reviews and is booked in advance always.

The fact that we have to leave eventually.

The hosts are incredibly warm and hospitable. It felt like we were staying at a friend's home (not a hotel)! The Sri Lankan dinners were delicious.

I had a fantastic experience during my 3 day yoga retreat which was truly memorable and the highlight of my trip. The yoga classes with Shibi were excellent, really peaceful and restorative. It was incredible to practice on the jetty looking out over the lagoon. This is the closest to paradise I have come during my travels around the island and can recommend the vegetarian Sri Lanka dinner which was home-cooked, freshly prepared and really nourishing.

We had such a wonderful time at Anawasal. Shibi and her husband could not have been any more welcoming if they tried and the staff were all fantastic too. Anawasal is in the most beautiful quiet spot looking out onto the lagoon with a lovely shady pool to cool off in and hammocks to relax in as well as a lovely lounge area to sit and eat. They also have a SUP and kayak to explore the lagoon on. We really enjoyed doing some of Shibi’s yoga classes too on the beautiful hut in the lagoon which has the most amazing views. Everything about the place was so peaceful and we could have stayed for weeks! The food was absolutely delicious and some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Shibi asked our dietary requirements in advance and they made us the tastiest vegetarian food for our entire stay and each night it was completely different to the last. They have a great selection of smoothies and snacks on offer during the day too. Breakfasts were really tasty and varied and set us up perfectly for our days kite surfing. The rooms were really clean and had views across the water with a little terrace to sit outside too. The outdoor bathroom was a really cool touch. It was a perfect base for us whilst we had a few days of kite surfing lessons. Thank you to the whole team for such a fabulous stay, we hope to come back one day and will recommend you far and wide!

We loved the rural nature and the beautiful beaches around Anawasal. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

Anawasal is pure heaven! Shibi and her team are so kind and gentle and will make everything to make you feel like home! The hotel and rooms are very nice and well decorated! In one month travelling in Sri Lanka, it's also where we had the best food so far!! Everything was so tasty and every day different! You are directly on the laggoon and can enjoy free kayaking, go explore to the sea, or beaches etc.. i highly reccomend this place!! Thank's for all, hope to come back here someday!

We loved our stay at the lagoon. The service and food was great thanks to Mama, Sudu and Nishanta. Shibi’s early yoga classes are a great start for the day. Sun salutation worked fine after a rainy day! Dinner was very healthy with a lot of spices and herbs and really delicious. We can highly recommend it. Thanks for the great service. And please hug Kurumba and Ana… we miss them!

We appreciate a room service every day.

This is a perfect little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the more tourists areas of Sri Lanka. A safe, quaint and quiet village. We ended up staying longer than planned as we enjoyed the place (and food!) so much. The little cottages are spacious and clean, with strong fans and good AC. The outdoor bathroom is beautifully designed. The swimming pool is new and perfectly refreshing. Yoga classes are offered on-site and help to keep the relaxation vibe going during your stay. Shibi and her staff are extremely gracious hosts that go out of their way to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. Just thinking about the food makes my mouth water. Everything was delicious and the two evenings we dined there we had completely different dishes, all of them were exquisite!

Our only regret was not to have had a little more time there in order to do a kite surfing initiation course. Lots of wind in the area so good conditions for beginners to learn.
