Location was great, apartment was nicely decorated and clean

AC was not working in one bedroom, strong unbearable sewage smell in master suite, neither of which were resolved during our stay.

I liked the location, it was nice and secluded. It felt like a real getaway. The room itself was nice and the bed was well comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the balcony had a nice view.

The price advertised was not the final price paid. For the final price that was paid it was a little bit expensive as there was no kitchen facilities to make a meal if you wanted. For that same price a person could have gone to an all inclusive hotel and gotten value for money.

The location

The pictures on the site were combined pictures of multiple apartments. I thought i was getting a studio apartment with kitchen and living area… Instead I walked into a bedroom with a beautiful bathroom I might add with no living area or kitchen. It was a bedroom crowded with a couch and bed which was in an awkward position, a bedroom door used as the main entrance door. I’m so glad i went to see the apartment before going to buy groceries to cook because the room did not accommodate the kitchen area as seen on the photo. I was very disappointed how I spent my money.. I would never stay in a place like this knowingly!

I like the welcomeness of the host, we got a different house because we wanted a kitchen but it was a great weekend. The location was right in the central location of town which was great, we had a great view, pool, balcony. It was overall amazing

Great apartment in Skycastles/Columbus Heights with awesome view!!! The owners and cleaning personnel was outstanding, very personable, and hospitable. The cleaning person made all the following bad things mentioned worthwhile. I was able to use locals to go back and forth to airport for $5.00 USD, tour bus chartered through booking.com, and ate off locals which was what I expected to do instead of staying at a resort. I can truly say that I got the full Jamaican experience. Because I am adventurous, it is likely the only place that I would stay in the future.

The apartment was excellent but did not like the additional surprise fees after advertisement. Compared to local economy, meal fees and travel fees to and from airport was ridiculously overpriced ($150 USD one way). Recommendation is to befriend an honest local taxi driver, get their phone number, take care of them and see the town of Ochi. Together, the apartment and the experience will be unforgettable! None on the locals knew the name of Blue Topaz but everyone knew Skycastles/ Columbus Heights: I recommend adding the location after the name of the apartment for ease of locating for those visiting.
