Gorgeous property on the lake, with super close access to skiing at Jay Peak. Everything about the home was perfect— super clean, comfy, with a well stocked kitchen. The host was quick to respond to any questions. My husband and I stayed with our one year old daughter and our pups, and we would absolutely do so again. Really a gem of a place.

This is the second winter we have visited Jim's chalet on Lake Eden. The chalet is well-equipped and very comfortable. Nice large, quiet property is surrounded on three sides by this beautiful late. It is VERY QUIET and we love the peacefulness and serenity that comes with this isolated chalet. We'll have to come back in the summer so we can enjoy this beautiful lake!

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms comfortable

My friends and I rented Jim’s cottage for a relaxing New Year’s Eve in Vermont. We loved our stay (our dog, too), which was exactly what we were hoping for. The cottage had a fully equipped kitchen, and was large enough for different activities at the same time (reading in one area, playing a game in another, etc.). We would love to return in the summer to fully experience the lake and fire pit on the peninsula!

We spent Xmas with our family- cooking, eating; playing games, Xmas cookies, stocking stuffers, and secret Santa gift exchange; reading, napping; midnight margaritas around an outdoor fire and under a full moon; thoroughly and completely at peace, with a freedom which comes when surrounded by the warm embrace of family, who are all blissfully disconnected from distractions- no cell service (Verizon) and no Television. Idyllic.

This property is our favorite vacation spot. the beautiful house and scenery allow us to disconnect and relax. hearing loons and ducks on the lake is great

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing long weekend here. The location is as stated, at the end of a private road on the peninsula. The views were stunning and we enjoyed listening to the loons. We would definitely return!

Exceptional cottage and location. The house has a very nice openness and flow. The kitchen is well stocked for anything you might want to prepare. The beds are very comfortable especially the king. The property is beautiful and private and the lake very clean. Our only negative was motor boat traffic was somewhat heavy for a couple days but we attribute that to the Labor Day holiday weekend combined with hot/sunny weather. Overall we had a very nice time and recommend this rental.

We had a lovely time with our family. Swimming across the lake daily was a highlight in the clear water. The lake really is as beautiful as the pictures show. The house was clean and firewood ample for both the outside fire pit and indoor fireplace in which we enjoyed as a family every evening. Jim was responsive as a host.

Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful time together at this special home. Our grandsons fished from the dock, jumped in the cold water, canoed the lake, and threw the football around in the large yard. Our daughter utilized the office space for work a few times which was convenient. My husband and I had our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the lake.
So many things to recommend about this property - truly a paradise,

We had a fantastic time at Jim's lake house on Lake Eden. It was a great setting for creating new memories, spending time together, and a much needed getaway. We saw geese, loons, ducks, and even a beaver on the lake. I'd highly recommend this location if you're looking for some "downtime" on the lake.

Just back from our first stay here with husband, 15 year old son and dog. The lake was beautiful and was the center of our vacation. We spent as much time as possible sitting by the lake and swimming and reading. It was just what we needed! First time seeing and hearing loons (a family!) and we were captivated!! Enjoyed watching them, and the heron, and the beaver! The house was immaculately clean upon arrival, despite it allowing for pets, yet it was designed with pets in mind and very comfortable for us all. Communication with host was excellent. The location afforded us the privacy we desired (due to our nervous dog) which was a key to us having any vacation at all this year. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

We've stayed at many VRBO properties and this is the best one ever. It's a perfect location, quiet and private. The kitchen is exceptionally well supplied. I highly recommend it. We've stayed there two summers and have already booked it for next summer.

Our three-generation family and dog had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. The setting could not be prettier, with many outdoor places to sit and enjoy the view or fish, kayak, swim, and roast marshmallows. The house itself is clean, cozy, and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches that make for an easy stay. A truly wonderful experience!

We enjoyed our stay even though the weather was cold and rainy. The house has everything you need! We enjoyed cooking meals together and hanging out on the porch. The fishing is great. We loved kayaking between rain storms and exploring the local area. We hope to return again!

This was a nice getaway from our city life. The whole family enjoyed the stay and the great location. The kids loved the lake and kayaking. Its a nice small lake and for the kids it was an accomplishment getting from end to end. The place was clean and you have almost everything you need provided. We would gladly come back to stay in the future.

Cool mornings with coffee on the porch, kayaking on the lake, dusk listening to the loons. Could not have been better! Thanks for a great experience!

The house is so warm and welcoming, with the natural wood work throughput. New kitchen with the 5 burner propane stove and well supplied kitchen worked great for meals. Great evening fire was so relaxing.
We enjoyed the lake views from all windows tremendously. Enjoyed reading and listening to the sounds of the lake. A few locals were searching for the best ice fishing on the lake. Enjoyed Stowe and a ski day. Our beautiful Rose loved it too!
Love to rent again!

This was the perfect location for our Christmas ski vacation. House presents even better in person than the pictures online. Very clean, kitchen well stocked. Lots of great family time. Prior to the stay, Jim was extremely prompt with any questions I had, and super nice.

Great place! Enjoyed our stay. Great and well stocked kitchen. My only advice would be to warn winter guests about the private, one-lane driveway to get to the cabin. It was pretty slippery. Wrong move or wrong car and you might be going for a swim! We have a Jeep with good all-weather tires, but we were sliding a bit. Other than that though, it’s a great place to stay!

This was our 3rd stay @ this property. We will be booking a 4th next year. It's Incredible.

Located in rural area of Vermont on Lake Eden in close proximity to local small towns and Stowe. Enjoyed the well stocked local grocery store and nearby restaurants.
The accommodations were family friendly with the back yard suited for our 7 year old grandson. We enjoyed the canoe rides around the lake and relaxing by the fireplace.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this magical spot. A much needed break was had by all. We enjoyed canoe rides, hiking and supporting small local business and farms .
The kitchen is well stocked. I usually bring a couple of pans to avoid nonstick but the Dillons provided decent quality cookware.
Thanks again for having us. We’d love to return next year.

Beautiful property with plenty of space to relax and unwind. House / kitchen had everything we needed. Hiked nearby trails and took a drive once or twice to take in the awesome views and colors of fall. 5 stars!!

We enjoyed using the kitchen which had lots of equipment and was very comfortable. Our dog was in the water the minute we got there and thoroughly enjoyed swimming and running in the yard. We were very relaxed staying there and chilling out.

Just back from another great stay at this perfectly placed lake house on a small peninsula on Lake Eden. The sights and sounds are quintessential Vermont Fall. We barely left the property during out 9-day stay. I suggest getting the kayaks and bringing your camera. Our 5-year old, loved exploring the shoreline, and the dogs were at home as well. see ya next year!
