Beautiful location, fantastic views, and peaceful. Well decorated and clean with a comfortable living area containing some extremely comfortable leather recliner chairs; and a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Lovely clean bathrooms, nice and bright and with a good shower. Comfortable beds, lovely bedrooms with great views and nice light. Very well equipped and well furnished through-out. The whole property was nice and warm (well heated for our January visit). We used a local taxi firm, and they were to happy to pickup from the car park by the house.

The drive/track to the property is in quite poor shape, it really needs resurfacing; that said, it caused us no actual difficulties, it was just a little alarming at first. It is not a short walk to Keswick town-center where the shops and restaurants are, but it is only a short drive or taxi-ride.

The location and amenities are exceptional. This is a peaceful, beautiful property, lovingly cared for. We felt very much at home here and appreciated the excellent standard of accommodation.

The drive up to the house is in severe disrepair. The road surface is very uneven. It made coming and going challenging. We were concerned about damage to our car. Another niggle is that on the last day the cleaner hovered directly outside our door for about a half hour as we made our last preparations to leave. The agreed checkout time is 10AM. We were early checking out, and were driving away by 9:55AM but the cleaner's advance presence made us feel chivvied and encroached upon. It was an unpleasant way to end an otherwise delightful stay.
