Very comfortable and cosy.

Comfortable bed. Spacious accommodation. Wet room. Quiet location.

The property was up a hill from the village, I had trouble walking back up. Most of the property was on the first floor, on the ground floor were stairs, a wet room, washing machine and downstairs toilet. A tumble drier would have been great. I wasn't aware that everything was upstairs. The beams, it is a converted barn so it's only to be expected, we both hit our heads a few times.

The cottage was as good as it looked in the photos and was an easy walking distance into Bala. The cottage was equipped with anything and everything we needed and had an elevated location which meant we had nice views and a convenient walking track into the town

As a regular volunteer on the nearby Bala Lake Railway, I have stayed in a lot of different places in the area over the years. Yr Hen Ysgubor is one of the very best in the Bala area. The cottage was extremely comfortable and quiet, with an impressive array of equipment (e.g. dishwasher, washing machine for clothes, smart TV) and very warm. The hosts were very friendly, for instance checking I was OK getting in and out of the site during a snowfall. The cottage has a great view of Bala Town and you can see the lake too. The view is especially good at night with just a few twinkling lights in the valley below.

I can't think of anything that didn't meet or exceed my expectations. Everything was clean and comfortable and a great place to come back to for a rest after a day re-laying railway track in the snow!!!

Once entered property the photos did not do the place justice. Beautiful on inside and out. The views over looking Bala and the lake were incredible and the hosts so friendly and welcoming
