The location of the motel suited our needs. The bed was comfortable and the temperature of the room was pleasant. The room and bathroom appeared to be clean. However, when leaving a large deposit of blond hair was attached to our footwear and luggage.
When a door of a room, that was close by, was closed it made our door rattle. Also the number of car parks is quite restricted. And some parts are difficult to manoeuvre.
The vacuuming of the room could have been better.
5.0
The proximity to the Newport arms .
A comfortable bed
Looking old and the room had stains on the sofa, sticky tape on the spa tiles. No water jug and the fridge was so noisy , badly needed defrosting.

Close to everything
Bathroom a little dated, needs renovating no window or fan in bathroom. For 1 night it was fine

It was cheap.
They set an ironing board up In the conference room for all the people that needed to get ready for a wedding. I was able to use the shower facilities near the pool.
That we couldn’t check in before 2pm and I had to shower in the pool showers and lug my gear up and down multiple flights of stairs. We missed the bus that was organised to take us to a wedding because we had to wait until 2pm to checkin to our room. Our door kept getting stuck. It was hard to open and close. I was told by the checkin staff that I should have gotten ready for the wedding before I arrived.

The property is ina lovely area, near the water, across the road from the Newport arms and a short walk to a cafe and convenience store. Staff were very helpful and courteous.
Property was very dated and in need of a complete renovation. Parking was also limited to a small car. SUV’s wouldn’t fit.

I really liked how clean my room was and that there was a fridge and coffee.
The receptionist was really nice and helpful.
I didn’t like that the pool didn’t had enough lights at night. And as a solo Traveller I would have liked a lock on my door.

Love the proximity to all facilities ie; club across the rd, cafes, water, beaches, walks & the size of the hotel (smaller scale) more personal, was my 2nd stay & I’ll be back
Bit noisy between rooms & in hallways, havent had an issue with parking either stay but its pretty tight

Accommodating, friendly staff. The few issues we had with the room which we reported were addressed and dealt with immediately by staff.
Comfortable bed in a quiet room.
Great location for public transport with dinner and breakfast dining options located within very easy walking distance.

great location and beautiful views
the staff were not very helpful and everything seemed a chore for them to help with. the biggest issue was the room. it was so filthy and run down and the smell of damp was terrible. I asked for another room but was told the hotel was full and the staff were not interested at all with the issues I had.

The location was great and the room was clean.
The curtains were not hung properly which made the room feel less cared for.
Parking was difficult so we had to leave the car over the road.

Breakfast was good. The rooms are very dated and our carpet in 502 was dirty. However the cost was low. The rooms was damp.
Carpets were dirty. The room was damp.

Location ok
Staff were not helpful and uninterested in hospitality. Place was extremely tired and generally not enjoyable. Our Room smelled like cheap car fragrance diffuser. I wouldn’t stay at any Metro Mirage after that experience.

location is great
it is under renovation so no doubt will be a whole new level soon. Expect aged bathrooms and kooky tight halls and small lift. Very small car parks but as long as you are careful they are fine.

the location is fabulous. we have a water view and it was spectacular. the Newport Arms Hotel is across the road - great food, spectacular views and great service too.
The property is old and tired; but it’s location makes up for that.

great view and location opposite the pub but like nothing about the property itself.
The place is shabby, the pool & garden neglected. it smells damp and mouldy
the rooms, carpet furniture are stained and disgusting. One light globe working.
There is nothing to like…it feels like it’s awaiting demolition.
to top that off parking is atrocious. we had to park up the road & they pretty much tell you “every man for himself”
I NEVER complain about accomodation but this was next level fawlty towers.

Parking was extremely hard to get into, large crack in bathroom sink, balcony was small and dirty, room was very old; my family had travelled there for a wedding on an extremely hot day and the air conditioning did not work in my brothers room.

The location is great and the bed was comfy
The bathroom had mould everywhere, there was no exhaust fan. The sink and vanity had a massive crack.
The room smelt musty, the curtains were yellowed and stained in places.
One of the pillow cases had mould spots on it, we didn't realise until after our 2 night stay as the pillow was placed mould side down on the bed.
The whole place needs to refurbished to save it from the 80s.
Not worth the price we paid.

Third time staying here! Love it! Thanks for fixing the spa!
3.0
location and view
This property is so run down, the rooms, the gardens, the pool are all in dire need of a clean up & update.
The room smelt of damp and mould.
There are no facilities that we were offered.
Parking is atrocious.
The price doesn’t reflect any of the above. Clearly they have a captive audience with weddings etc so don’t care.
