Lovely hotel convenient for touring tha Atlantic way.

Stayed here a few times down the years. Very well positioned for anybody travelling for golf holiday. Breakfast is well worth getting up early for. 😁

The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked.. But that did not spoil my stay

Due to an unexpected vacation itinerary change we booked Mulroy Woods last minute. Reviews seemed positive, hence booking. Given a ground floor room which overlooked parking lot, busy road & petrol station. Reviews said rooms undergone renos/updates. Not this room, although clean, was very drab & dated. Staff at check in & out seemed “distracted”. We were on a 3 wk tour of Ireland, Mulroy Woods is at the bottom of the list of places we stayed. The only one we wouldn’t return to.

the staff were so pleasant and helpful. the rooms were clean and spacious. the food was excellent, catering for a couple of requests without any problems.

Good hotel, reasonably modern rooms of good size. Nice food in the restaurant served for dinner.

Breakfast was a real letdown. The was only one poor girl waiting on the whole room, looking very much lost. We had to repeatedly ask for coffee or tee, and finished our meals before we finally got it.

Due to unexpected circumstances this was a last minute booking on our part on a weekend when there was very little available. TBH we just needed somewhere nice to stay for the night that wasn't too expensive or in any way stressful. What we got was a lovely surprise - really comfortable, well equipped room and bathroom and a great dinner and breakfast. The staff were really friendly and attentive despite being rushed off their feet during prime holiday season. We'll definitely be back!

Kerb appeal

We were given a room with no hot water to bathe or wash. In fact the water pressure was minimal. Makes you wonder how the bathroom had been cleaned before us! When we reported the water issue, obviously after already having had a cold shower, we were offered the use of a bathroom in the room next door. We were not offered another room for the duration of our stay. Made to feel as if we were asking for something extra! In our experience the customer service was really, really poor. Owner was so unprofessional - she was very happy to inform us about the damage caused to her furniture by a '35 stone' guest who had stayed the night before. Absolutely disgusting.
