Beautiful view- gorgeous breakfast room. Rooms and balconies had spectacular views.

Instalações muito antigas, cheiro de fungo / mofo me deu crise alérgica. O café da manhã tentava oferecer tortas diferentes mas estavam somente razoáveis. Tivemos que manusear bagagens. Precisa renovar, pintar, limpar, trocar muita coisa dentro dos quartos e corredores. As informações de acesso do hotel ao centro podem ser mais claras pois precisamos andar razoavelmente.

Nice view and amazing balcony

The hotel might have been great at its peak but at the moment is in desperate need of some renovation, the garden unkept, and overall seriously understaffed. The staff pressured us on registration to always keep our car keys on the reception because "there might be need to move the car". If this isn't weird on its own, it was worse to see the reception unmanned at at least twice with all the room keys and car keys just laying there.

Our stay here was good and satisfactory but honestly nothing more. The rooms were clean and comfortable but not spacious or anything special. One hotel staff member was increadibly rude to us when we were checking out and asked him if it was possible for someone to move our car out of he incredibly tight, steep and difficult park they had put us in (parking is a bit challenging here) so we could load up our car and not scratch the Mercedes right behind us. Every other staff member was wonderful apart from him. Overall a pretty average but fine stay :)

Extremely disappointed. Our stay here was average. Location was great but the rooms were small and the service was ok. I would looking for other hotels in the area even if you have to fork out a little extra to do so. Our main complaint is in regard to our checkout. Firstly, the hotel clearly states that the reception is manned 24 hours. When we woke up early to checkout (around 7:30AM), we left our room and went to the checkout where no one was to be found. We were extremely time pressured as we had to make a flight and we needed someone to check us out and help us move our car which had been parked on a sharp incline by one of the hotel staff. It was not until I searched the hotel to find an employee in the dining room. I asked him if he could kindly help us check out. The man immediately started to criticise us for not checking out the day before. This was extremely unprofessional and rude. After the man eventually checked us out, he proceeded to tell us that we needed to move the car ourselves. We made it clear to him that we could not, as we did not park the car ourselves, and were not confident that we would not damage the very expensive looking Bentley behind us. The man did not seem to care. We eventually found someone else to help us and we left feeling extremely disappointed with the treatment we received. After my partner left the hotel a reasoned review on booking.com, the hotel responded by stating that we were wrong and that they were, in no way, at fault. SUCH BAD SERVICE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Very sad to give this place a 1 star out of 5 but it is well and truly deserved.

Amazing views from the cliffside. The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were fantastic.

Although fine for us, the walk to town is quite steep so worth noting.

The placing of the hotel is great with beautiful views, the room was very clean and great for our stay. The breakfast was exceptional it had great variety with all kinds of foods. The garden as lovely as well with flowers.

The location of the hotel is great, main attractions were in 10 minutes walk. We had a breathtaking view from our room. The hospitality of the staff was excellent. The breakfast was tasty and you can choose from a great variety of foods.

I don't know where to start because our stay at this Hotel was the best time we ever had! The Hotel is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous! Every morning, you can take your breakfast with the sea view and Mama Etna's view. It is a dream and the best thing you can ever see! In the evening, you can stay on your private terrasse, drink a nice bottle of Etna's Wine, and disgust some delicious Sicilian food by appreciating and observing the beautiful view of the sea, Etna, and the stars! The entire Hotel is beautifully decorated. Also, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to every staff at the Hotel because they know how to make your stay the best as possible!

Everything was perfect!

The view is excellent, facing east so I woke up early to see the sun rise. Totally worth it.

Very warm welcome. We parked at the hotel for free and we walked like 10 mins to the city center, very nice walk through the Villa Comunale park. The hotel is clean, very nice view and good breakfast. The room for the family was big with comfortable beds and nice balcony with amazing view.

The hotel has an amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea. We stayed in a room with a view and it is highly recommended. The staff in the restaurant were extremely kind. The staff at the front desk seemed as though they were busy with other work when we tried to interact with them.

This hotel was rather average. The staff were kind enough but seemed busy with other things when we were trying to interact with them. Our rooms were just below the breakfast room so we could hear chairs moving on the ceiling in our room starting around 7am everyday. The location is good, but we had to walk quite a ways to find a decent restaurant. We are all pretty mobile, but anyone with problems walking/climbing, this hotel would probably be difficult. The room was simple, decor and bed. The veranda in front of our room was nice with a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean. The breakfast was satisfactory. Parking was available but very difficult as there is limited room around the hotel.

Excellent location overlooking the sea with magnificent view onto Mount Etna. Breakfast is served on the terrace/veranda.

Dated interior, small room, no window to open during the night. Noise from aircons. No glasses, just plastic cups. Bar closes at 8pm (though servings were very generous...)

Everything , but the location was amazing and the hotel was romantic from another age . To some used to the amazing modern Italian design the areas such as the bathroom may seem outdated but everything was fine and clean . This is an old non corporate type of hotel so this is part of its charm . The greatest thing about it , especially for me as I arrived quite ill was the marvellous terrace which the bedroom opened on to. each room had a table and chairs and two sun beds . The breakfast was a buffet which had everything for all tastes and tea was served as it should be . .The breakfast room was light and airy and one could also sit outside , fabulous views everywhere . The lounge was a nice spot for a drink and place to sit .

There was nothing I did not like but the location which was great had limitations without a car being halfway up the hill to the town . we were shown a shortcut a short walk and up some steps which led straight to the town but having trouble with breathing this was rather hard for me , ok for a heathy person who is fit , the alternative is a taxi but that adds on 30 euros a day if you need to eat and as there is no dining room you need to be able to get to the town , however pizza can be ordered in fir you by the staff .

I was very ill when I arrived , so walking into this beautiful hotel is what I needed to rest for a few days , the hotel for some maybe seen as old fashioned as Italians often have perfect state of the art bathrooms and tiling , ours was fine it was clean and had everything one could want, to some it might seem a bit dated , to me it was part of the whole charm of this place . There was nothing corporate about it , one felt it was a different era . the most amazing thing of course is the wonderful balcony with a table and chairs and two sun beds with the most magnificent view of Mt Etna and the coast . The breakfast room was lovely , one could eat inside or out either way views everywhere . There was a bar and comfortable space to sit , full of interesting objects . The breakfast itself was a buffet which had everything .

There could be a problem if you don’t have a car which we didn’t, as it is halfway way up the mountain to Taomina . A short walk and a climb up some steps provides a short cut directly to the town , but because I was not well this was hard for me , fine if younger and fitter . The alternative is a taxi as as there is no dinner provided it is necessary to go out each day , however pizzas can be delivered .

The staff at this hotel are friendly, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast buffet and location are great as well.
