Donatela Hotel was set in a beautiful location, but a little away from Alona beach in Panglao. They have a complimentary shuttle bus which is great, but there are limited times that it departs. Our villa was private and set in beautiful gardens - the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for a number of meals and while the food was great, there was a limited menu and it was moderately expensive. The included breakfast was good, limited options but yummy omelettes on request. Overall the service was very good and the staff extremely friendly. The pool was large, clean and mostly deserted. I would highly recommend this location if you want to relax by the pool and chill out. The facility was able to arrange a day tour and massages.

Better hotel transfer pick up options from Alona Beach. We were asked to call if we wanted a pick up but calls from a NZ mobile phone would not connected with the property. More options for food would be good too.
