We love Grand Marais and Lake Superior. This cottage gave us easy access to both. We were able to walk anywhere we needed to go but enjoyed taking our Jeep on rides in the area. On rainy days there were movies and games to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a great stay! Perfect size for the 4 of us, cozy, lots of amenities and things for the kids to do, perfect little area and lots of privacy. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Perfect cottage for our short vacation enjoying the Upper Peninsula's beauty. It was clean, very comfortable, and well stocked. The owner quickly and thoroughly communicated all details by email and written notes at the cottage.

Very cozy, nicely furnished, kitchen had everything you would need. Will stay here again.

The only issue I had, was the trail to the beach. We were yooper light hunting in the evening and we could not find the trail back to the cottage as there’s nothing marking the trail and we could not see the cottage from the beach. I ended up getting yelled at by a neighbor as we had accidentally crossed her property, searching for the cottage. I suggest a fluorescent marker or solar light to mark the entrance to the path.

Enjoyed cabin and sand dunes, camp fires and kayaking. Loved our time there. House was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great place to stay in Grand Marais. Susan was available and answered questions quickly and thoroughly. Her place was exactly as described. We enjoyed the cottage, the beach and walks to town. Good location for exploring Pictured Rocks Lakeshore as well.

Quaint cottage with everything we needed for a summer getaway. Love the quiet little town and we could walk to all the restaurants and cute coffee shop. Driving distance to lots of waterfalls and Pictured rocks trails! It’s a nice walk to the water with lots of area to explore. Water is too cold to swim but great rocks and fun walks. Bring water shoes! Cottage was equipped with everything we needed including a great junk drawer with misc stuff we used! It was like home!

My friend and I stayed here for a week vacation in the U.P. and this cottage was a lovely and relaxing home for us! It felt like a private beach with very few people walking by, and amazing sights like the Sable Dunes in the distant. Cottage is an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of Grand Marais as well. We loved having the cozy fire during the evenings and the cottage seemed clean and well cared for!

The cottage is super cute and had absolutely everything we needed. We were a little disappointed in the bed situation. I thought it had a Queen bed in the master but it was a double. Too small for us but we made due in the twin beds in the other room. The walk back to the lake was longer than I had anticipated but boy was it worth the walk! We watched the sunset every night out there. Breathtaking Lake Superior sunsets! Thank you Susan for providing an excellent cottage for us to enjoy. We hope to be back.

I can’t say enough about our stay at the Music Makers Cottage. Extremely clean. Well appointed. Had everything we needed and more. Not one detail was overlooked. We cook most of our meals and the kitchen was prefect. We did not eat in town so don’t know about food options. Washer and dryer came in handy as we stayed several days. The main bed was small so my husband and I stayed in the second bedroom each in our own twin bed. Very comfortable. Nice linens. It was fun. Reminded us if when we were kids. We laughed and talked and read and listened to the waves of Lake Superior. Fabulous. Susan, having the queen size bed next year will be great. Still might sleep in the twins though. Lol The only thing we found a little awkward was the shower. I was perfectly comfortable, but my husband as a larger man, struggled a bit. Ceiling fans were inoperable, but we didn’t need them due to the cool air. Thank you Susan for saying you were replacing them soon. The church bells at 9 each night made for beautiful ending to each day. Proximity to all of the Picture Rocks hikes was terrific. We did them all. Lastly, the beach over the dunes made our stay fabulous. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Thank you Susan and team for an absolutely tremendous stay. Thanks for sharing your home. We felt at home. Great location very close to the water. We enjoyed walking over the sand dune every morning and evening. Slept with the windows open every night, as there is no AC, but it was comfortable. We went to Sable Falls which was about 10 minutes away. Trailhead to Chapel Loop was about 45 minutes away. The full size bed did not sleep well, would be great to see this upgraded. Also shower head is low and needs improvement.

Music Makers cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A good jumping off point for a seeing the sites of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Everything was exactly as described. We had all we needed to prepare meals and a biking lane right off the driveway that allowed us to safely bike into the quaint town of Grand Maria’s. Recommend stopping for pizza at Lakes superior Brewing and for coffee at the Dream Bean Machine. (The cutest coffee stand ever in a VW van!). No real view of Lake superior but short walk to lake over the dunes. Would stay at this property again.

We were more than pleased with our stay at the cottage! Owner was very easy to communicate with. The home was extremely clean and very well stocked with all of the amenities. We felt very safe there with our toddlers (they loved the chairs just their size!) and loved the fact that we had access to a washer/dryer just in case. Was great to have a vacuum to keep the floors clean for the week we were there. TV was more than adequate and we had good cell reception (Verizon). The walk to the beach was pretty short and so nice to have access to the water for us and the kids. Very quiet location; nice and relaxing. Great location for the National Lake Shore and loved our visits for coffee/tea at The Bean Machine and Sherpa Shack for ice cream (just a very short jaunt down the road). We would love to stay here again in the future!
