The meditation garden is a work of art, I've never seen anything like this! Beautiful, peaceful and magical place with so much space and hidden corners. Spacious yoga room overlooking the ocean is also incredible. Amazing views from everywhere. Room was simple but had everything needed for a solo traveler

Be aware that you do need a car- the nearest shop/cafe is about 30mns up a very steep hill.

My room was very quiet and tidy, it had everything i needed, bathroom, kitchen, plates, fridge, it was very clean. I had a sea view with a little terrace in front. The place is very quiet and safe. I very much enjoyed the views and the walks in the botanic garden.

I liked that we could see the ocean and the fact it was a secure venue. There was hot water also which was a plus. Nice touch with the meditation room, even though I didn't use it.

The location wasn't good. It was too far from anything and there was no accessible beach or anything near by. The nearest supermarket was 40 + minute walk The venue was not what expected at all. Pool was not heated either and therefore unusable in January. The garden advertised was also 50 euros extra to enter and the beds were so hard and uncomfortable they hurt my back and legs Very basic setup. This venue would only suit you, if you either had a car ( and happy to drive along scary and very high and rough cliff sides and hopefully survive) or who wanted to sleep for the entire stay in the shower ( because the beds were awful) Shelves were falling down also and the only heating we had was an old and temperamental fan heater that smoked up after 5 mins of using it. The ceilings are also incredibly thin and unfortunately we couldn't sleep due to upstairs neighbors enjoying themselves frequently whether it's walking and talking late at night or in throws of very loud passion. I wouldn't ever recommend this place. Host kept sending me voice messages as well and wasn't really very friendly or helpful.

Amazing views and beautiful relaxing property with great garden

The room itself was a bit expensive for what we got, the bed not very comfortable, there was a lot of light coming in from the windows making it difficult to sleep. Bathroom shower was very small and the curtain stuck to our body.

The hostess is very friendly and attentive. Jardin Mariposa (name of the accommodation) consists of several buildings and is located directly on the slope towards the sea. The property is gated so that unauthorized entry is difficult and you feel even safer than you already do in the quiet neighborhood. I can also recommend it to women traveling alone, as there are more "civilized" guests and not party tourists. Next to it, a path goes into El Jagre, a protected landscape. Both the accommodation and the landscape are the perfect place to unwind and enjoy peace and quiet. My room was amazing with a huge window looking out over the sea and coastline. The room was adequately furnished and the bathroom was clean.

Great view from our room, it is nice place to stay. Listening sound of ocean. We had room ideal. For us it was enough. Very calm place. I think it is better to book room with fridge and some equipment, if you don't want to go always to kitchen. Petra is helpful, caring. We were lucky to come on day when there was also lunch served(not usual), good food. Great that check in was able from 12:00- very helpful. Staff friendly. Maybe it is better to speak Spanish for guests-⁠) Information anf tips shared through Whatsapp.

Very steep narrow road down, you need to count with dealing with this and traffic. As in most of tenerife. Maybe bit crowded parking, but we always had place to park. You need to count also with gekkos in room:⁠-⁠) Well, comon kitchen does not have many cooking items- pots, but i think most of people did cold food or dine out of property. We managed pasta and sauce well.

Exceptional place where you can peacefully leave the everyday life behind. Time stops here. Our studio at the top of the cliffs headed towards the ocean - absolutely amazing view. The host, Petra, and the people working there are really kind and helpful. The location is great. Santa Cruz is within 20 minutes drive only, but you are far away from the crowded places.

Petra was really lovely and gave us a warm welcome. It really was a slice of paradise and felt very calm and relaxed from our stay. The views along the coast and the sunset are spectacular!! The pool with the views and the extensive garden were amazing. We had our own little terrace near the entrance to the meditation garden which gave us our own little space within, though you'd find plenty of areas to call your own. Thank you very much!!

If you're driving to the house, be warned its a bit steep, but it was a fun challenge and well worth the effort!

Everything was wonderful , but you do need a car to visit this location.

This magical place is located upon a cliff and it ensures a wonderful view of the ocean, the sunsets are breathtaking, as well as the Teide volcano that can also be easily observed. We've spent our honeymoon here and we loved every single day, regardless of the weather. We actually felt as if we had our escape from the real world and most of the time we started thinking there were no other guests - it was so quiet and intimate. I truly recommend Jardin Mariposa to anyone who needs to recharge their batteries.

I think it may be appreciated if it was possible to do some laundry, but we didn't bother doing it in the laundry service spot in the nearby town.

This place was a real Paradise. My friend and I had an extraordinary experience thank to the splendid nature of Tenerife surronding this Home and the people working and travelling there. Petra is a sweet and present owner, happy to share with you her corner of Peace in Tenerife. Highly suggested!!!!!

The location is gorgeous, the room overlooked the ocean and we slept with the sound of the waves hitting the shore. The surroundings are beautiful and there's a serenity to the place I have not found anywhere else.

The room is essentially a greenhouse, with plants and trees growing inside, so we got to sleep next to the soil. There's practically no insulation and water was dripping inside the room during a storm. Thankfully we had warm weather, but I imagine it must get very cold at night. The bathroom was very small and not as clean as I would expect.

- Parking (it's very steep and challenging to park) - The room needs a renovation. The bath is not the most hygienic one anymore (and we were unlucky having lots of ants in the bathroom, which were "removed" with a spray) - The room wasn't super clean (some dust, the sheets)

You are in the lap of nature with spectacular views of the ocean and mount Teide. You get to meet and connect with people from different parts of the world and it is such an amazing experience.

The only downside for me was commuting because I did not have my own car. The closest bus stop is a 20-25 minute walk. I would recommend hiring a taxi if you do not have your own car/bike.

This place is truly like a paradise. breathtakingly beautiful view from the balcony, beautiful house. very spiritual atmosphere. In this regard, it was more than I expected.

However, it is impossible to live there if you don't have a car, it is far from the main road. Also, no food nearby is available. Moreover, keep in mind that you can see lizards on the walls. (they are harmless I hope). My room was smelly for some reason.

Summing up: we were offered higher comfort at any camping we visited in Spain over the past few years. The room wasn't too clean and the bathroom really needs renovation. The water in the shower was too cold for a comfortable bath. We stayed there in January and it was really cold inside at night. There was a space heater in the room which helped worm it up a little but made it hard for me to sleep as it was quite noisy. There were also some maggots/worms here and there inside the room - that didn't make us feel too comfortable there. The room was also being visited by a lizard that came in and out through a hole by the window frame - it was friendly but added up to a specific level of comfort there....

Fantastic location if you like stunning views of the ocean , the landscape towards Puerto de la Cruz and Teide. (Poor location if you expect to be close to an accessible sandy beach). Nice with several buildings connected by a garden with pool area (not grass as in one photo though). It is a nice atmosphere.

It is a challenging parking with a steep uphill, both as a driver and if you want to walk to restaurants close by.

I loved the location, facility and how beautiful the place is, full of nature, over looking the ocean. It is the last house just close to the cliff and there is a very nice path to go for a hike next to the house. I really enjoyed my stay at this place and connected with other travelers. I enjoyed the meditation garden and the hall each morning. I liked this place a lot and even stayed twice in my trip before and after my retreat. Petra and Ulrike were great in helping and welcoming me. I am looking forward to come back to this paradise :)

It would be good to have someone at the reception to help you check in and also if the quality of the wifi can be improved in the room, my rooms were at the entrance of the area so I had some wifi and also phone network issue but overall it seems to be working outdoors.

Perfect location on the island (you'll need a car), amazing accommodation, gardens and view, and ideal place to meet nice people ! Many thanks to Petra who organized a special diner and event on New year's Eve !

THE place to energise, meditate, and start trips to Beaches, hikes, mountains. perfectly embedded in nature and the sound of the sea. Great if you travel alone or as a couple/family. And you have the chance to meet open minded people from all over the world. During my stay from US, France, UK, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, India Never had this kind of energy and positive interaction in any kind of place.

a car ist helpful, but with Buses and Taxi also accessible.

It was the most beautiful place. I’m coming back!!
