Third visit to the resort, which has been upgraded and now includes some luxurious villas, a second restaurant and a pool. Staff provided their usual excellent service, The villa was huge and fitted really well with the surroundings. Though the sea can be quite rough in this area of Sri Lanka, being in the middle of nature makes up for it. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, freshly prepared and tasted great. Breakfasts were very healthy. Would not hesitate to return again.

Guests need to be aware that their is no 24hr desk. Problems occurring at night are unlikely to be resolved until the following morning. An example would be when our AC stopped working one evening. Though it was a simple fix in that someone had flicked the outdoor switch to 'off' no one was available to remedy this until the next day.

Die Lage an einem Traumstrand. Wir hatten perfekte Wellen, und man kann sich am Strand für wenig Geld bodyboards leihen. Die Cabanas sind wunderschön gelegen in einem Palmenhain. Das wirklich sehr gute Frühstück. Und obwohl oft bemängelt, hatten wir sehr gutes WLAN und zwar in beiden gemieteten Cabanas.

Die Lage der Anlage ist sehr schön. Und die gesamte Anlage war sehr gepflegt.

The food was delicious and to a very high standard. The service staff at the resteraunt and the hotel were virtuous, helpful and attentive. They responded very fast to requests. I think the quality and service of the facilities and food deserves at least a 4 star rating not 3. We will be back!

The pool was small and a strange shape and it was difficult to accommodate all the guests when the place is full.

As the name suggests its set amongst a beautiful palm estate filled with wild peacocks, however, what the name fails to display is just how amazing this setting is. You are literally off the beach and the sound of crashing waves will send you into a heady daze of deep sleep at night. The wooden cabins are gorgeous, and as described by my wife, it feels a little James Bond esk. You have so much space you can barely see your neighbours cabin due to distance and lushes foliage. The beach is amazing and in its own small rock pool edged bay. There are several small shack bar/restaurants delivering tasty seafood dishes and drinks. We have been lucky enough to share the beach with only a handful of others as we are slightly off season. You'll also find very friendly wild dogs, as can be seen all over the island. We have sat on the evening atop our cabin balcony drinking Red rum in the company of 4 little dogs. Its been very idylic. It truly is an amazing resort, staffed with friendly and incredibly helpful staff. Thank you 😊

"Palm Paradise" is a very accurate description of this place. Located in a quiet palm grove right next to the beach, very green and quiet (except for the crashing waves - but that's the kind of noise I could listen to all day). Peacocks walking around in the garden and sometimes coming to the pool to drink, all sorts of other birds, squirrels and monkeys can be seen all day round but never cause any trouble. Back in the day they used to have only the minimalistic cabanas (which are great btw), but I was very happy to discover that they have expanded quite a bit since 2010 and now they have the villas, a new restaurant and a pool. The villa where I chose to stay this time was very spacious, air-conditioned and had a large balcony/patio. Both the pool and the beach are less than a minute away. Super-friendly staff, helped me organize the transfer from Ella and then to Colombo for a very reasonable price without requiring any sort of prepayment. The ocean can be a bit rough at times, but that's not a bad thing, just something to be aware of. The restaurant offers excellent quality food, which applies to both the breakfast and the a-la carte dining options. Very clean and warm pool just outside the restaurant with comfortable wooden sunbeds. There's a small grocery store just on the corner of the main road (~5 min walk), and if you need more shopping then Tangalle is only ~10 minutes and ~500LKR away by tuktuk, which can be found just outside the main gate.

The window blinds in V6 could use some fixing. Other than that, there's really nothing to complain about.
