We absolutely loved our stay in Olga & Alan's (or is it Alain's?) guest house. They were wonderful hosts and their home is lovely.
The one acre property is on the canal in Leeward Settlement. We spent every morning and most evenings sitting on the dock watching turtles swim by. The canal is very clean and swimmable when you need to cool off.
It was fantastic to have the use of the kayaks to paddle around the neighbourhood or out into the mangroves.
The screened room was fantastic. We wound up cooking breakfast out here each day...pretty nice to have an indoor and outdoor kitchen in the house. Both of which were fully equipped.
It's a walkable distance to the closest beach but, truth be told, you really need a car on Provo. Grace Bay shops and restaurants are about a five minute drive. IGA grocery store was about ten minutes away. Get a car, you won't regret it.
I can't imagine staying anywhere else on the island.

Couldn’t be more pleased. The property is perfect for couples. You’re close to beaches but I would strongly suggest renting a car. Grace Bay is too far to walk. We rented a car at the grace bay car rental and it was great. We spent most of our days on the beach in Coral Gardens
Good restaurants included Somewhere beach bar , Coralli at the ritz. Mr grouper, Coco Bistro…sit at the bar without reservations. Da Conch Shack and Mr. Grouper were all solid.
Premium US beer and Spirits are ballpark price whether you go out or buy a 6 pack or bottle. Example…Coors Light 6 pack is $20 case of White Claw was $65
Just be ready for the sticker shock if you go to TCI…still well worth it

Fantastic host and house!
-My wife and I had a wonderful 5-night stay at Olga’s Casa Kohana, and we recommend it for sure!
-All of the descriptions were accurate in the listing, but the house (much more than just a “cottage”), the garden path to the canal & dock/deck, and the beauty of the canal water itself, were all even better than expected from the photos!
-The host, Olga, is welcoming & friendly, with helpful local suggestions, and very quick to respond to inquiries via the VRBO chat, and in-person as needed.
-There is a helpful collection of local restaurants, grocery stores, and other places of interest included in a welcome binder upon arrival. Olga also included plenty of labeled instructions to guide us through the details of the house and property, that all made our stay effortless.
-The kayaks that are available at the house were a great way to explore the immediate area. Olga included detailed maps to help navigate the area’s waterways via kayak (there are indeed 2 one-person kayaks, and 1 two-person kayak, and all work well with straps to attach day-bags, however they will get wet, so wrap things in plastic bags or bring dry bags for things you don’t want to get wet).
-Lastly, Olga was very helpful with arrival and departure procedures, including offering to accommodate us/our luggage, in the case that we had a later departure, which unfortunately we didn’t.
-The only problem was that our stay was far too short!

Fantastic cottage on the canal! Great location, 6 minute walking distance to sunset beach. Very clean, comfortable, and met all our needs. Our hostess, Olga, was lovely, kind and attentive. She allows access to kayaks and paddle boards, easy to get to mangrove cay with lots of sea life. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return! Thank you Olga!!!

The property was wonderful, nice and secluded and the screened in porch was amazing. My husband and I loved spending time out there with the breeze. The canal was beautiful and we had everything we needed!

This was our second stay at Olga's (fourth time to Provo). We plan to stay here every time we come back, as well. You just can't go wrong with this place. Located in a quiet residential part of the island, it's easy to get to (we always rent a car from Scooter Bob's). Paddleboards and kayaks are included and we used them every day to explore the canal, mangroves, and Iguana Island. Make sure to watch the tide charts! The house is clean and has everything you need from a fully furnished kitchen to beach toys. Olga is helpful with recommendations for good places to eat, quiet beaches and secret snorkle sites. You just can't go wrong with this property it's utterly beautiful!

Beautiful Villa in Leeward
Very nice, quiet, secure location. We had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. Olga was extremely helpful throughout our stay. It was almost like we had our own private home and were not bothered by noise, waiting on inconsiderate guests or screaming children, as we saw at all the other resorts in town. So happy we stayed here!

Everything you could ask for
This cottage is located in a quiet part of the island, minutes from Grace Bay Area. Cottage is clean and comfortable and fully stocked. I do t think we had to go without anything. Olga, the host, is always available but never imposes on you. She is wonderful and tries to make your stay as enjoyable as she can.
The amenities include kayaks, paddle boards, hot tub, screened porch( we cooked outside every time) chairs on the pier, and everything you need if you want to sit on the beach. She has literally though if everything.
For anyone traveling that wonders about security, your stay is behind an electric gate. Turks is one of the friendliest places we have ever visited though.
We will be returning to this cottage in the future. We absolutely loved it.
Make sure to rent a car and go everywhere you can. So many places to see and do.

Fantastic Property
This is our third VRBO stay in Providencials and so far our most enjoyable. We tend to shy away from the typical "resort" scene and prefer a quiet place of our own. Leeward is a private residential area of the island, but still has access to much to do. Casa Kohana is located within walking distance to the beach, Big Blue Collective Marina and Blue Haven Resort. Bikes are available to ride as well as kayaks and paddleboards. We used them all! The canal is beautiful and great for swimming and paddleboarding. The Mangroves are just a 20min paddle away and fun to explore during high tide. The house has everything you would need for an enjoyable stay and the grounds are just beautiful. Olga was a great host and we hope to return in the near future!

We had an amazing time staying here for our honeymoon! Very clean and great amenities, full kitchen, screened in porch. We were able to use their kayaks and beach chairs with an umbrella. It’s a very safe neighborhood and beautiful area by Grace Bay.

perfect couple retreat
Olga is very nice, on the property in her house, helpful but allows full privacy, the house is very nicely appointed, upscale everything, indoor and outdoor kitchen, comfortable with very tropical surroundings, kayaking saved the day as I was on a kiting trip with no wind. Super close to Grace Bay and Long Bay beach, safe and a different way to enjoy turks. Strongly recommend for couples

Perfect Vrbo rental.
The owner was very attentive when we needed anything. We used her kayaks to row over to the mangrove island and a little island that we had to ourselves. We saw sharks and turtles in 2 foot of water. We were minutes from the TCI ferry that takes you to North Caicos and Middle Caicos which I highly recommend. The rental was well equipped for everything we needed and welll-stocked with essentials. It’s a short drive or bike ride to a lot of great places but not too close to the touristy areas. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Best VRBO Rental EVER!!!!
I have rented quite a bit on VRBO. I've never had a bad experience, but this was by far the best. The cottage and everything in it was so clean! There are so many extras, I don't know where to start (outdoor shower, games, lighting...). The pics don't do it justice. It has everything you will need and more. I could honestly live there full time. Olga was so kind, generous and helpful. The neighborhood is beautiful. It is a private tropical paradise. The island is AMAZING. The locals are incredibly kind. The process was so easy and professional. We leave with many fantastic memories. I can't wait to go back. TCI will not disappoint, but staying in this cottage will guarantee comfort, relaxion, and so much more. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Will come back in a heartbeat
This is the best experience I've had on vrbo, HomeAway, or airbnb. The owner is simply the nicest and most helpful person. She constantly checked up on us, gave us ideas on what to do around, where to eat. She looked out for us and told us not to kayak when the sea was too rough. The place is also absolutely wonderful and everything you could need was there. I don't believe the pictures do it any justice. The outdoor kitchen was just beautiful. A great place to hang out, make meals, read, etc. Olga was incredibly communicative and very fast to respond to any question we had. The location of the house makes it so you can explore so many of the little islands as long as you're willing to paddle your way to them. An incredible place for anyone who doesn't mind being a bit active.

Same great stay as last year!
Our well appointed cottage simply had everything we needed for our ideal T&C vacation! Everything was clean, neat and in working order. Olga, as always, the perfect hostess -- friendly, available if needed but leaves you to enjoy your stay. She brought us fresh coconuts for their milk -- a yummy treat. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and swimming all either in the canal behind the cottage, or at several nearby, amazing white sand beaches. And if you don't stay at a resort no worry about crowds either. We frequently had whatever beach we were on to ourselves a great deal of the time. Thanks again, Olga! We'll definitely be back soon!

Perfect Place
This was a great property. Especially if you want to get away from the bustle of Grace Bay. A car will be needed. Be aware of bad roads and giant potholes. We had a great time and Alex and Olga were very helpful. They had suggestions on food and things to do. It was nice to have the bikes, snorkel gear, and kayaks. The cottage was roomy for two and the screened in porch was my favorite. A couple of great beaches a bike ride away. They were hardly populated. One afternoon I had the beach to myself. Definitely will stay here if we return.

The perfect place to get away from it all!!!
Clean, enough space, canal access, pool, hangin out on the dock, easy enough to get to the resort area, beach is 2 minute drive away, kayak to the mangrove, paddleboard to the beach!
We love vacationing a little bit more like a resident, and this property is perfect to do it. We have access to everything we could ever want. The neighborhood is quiet, and feels so relaxing. We run grace bay beach in the morning barefoot, walk along the beach in the late afternoon. Can rent beach chairs and umbrellas at Sunset beach for $20 per couple.
Olga is a fantastic host. Present enough to make us feel welcome, yet gives us all the privacy we could want. We love talking to her, and learning more about her life on the island.

Honeymoon
Casa Kohana is in a great location. Easy to follow directions right to the security gate. Code for gate was provided After entrance, you are in a botanical garden. The cottage is roomy, comfy, well appointed, and peaceful. It has a screened in area which we used everyday. The extras, included a large vault, anything and everything you may want in the kitchen. The cottage was very clean with plenty of linens. The outdoor shower was a delight. There was an informational book the owners put together which was very useful. The use of a rental car is necessary. The owners, Alan and Olga were great hosts.

Memorable!!
This was our 2nd visit to T&C. We liked the beaches in this area the best so we looked for a VRBO rental in Leeward and that is how we found Casa Kohana! What a find it was! From the initial inquiries up to our departure we were happy with communication with Olga. She is so friendly and considerate, we really appreciated her personal touches. Bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, papayas and coconut from her garden, yummy!
Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of shampoo/conditioners/body wash, extra sun tan lotions and bug spray left from others. Coolers to use, beach chairs/umbrellas.
The canal in the back has beautiful water like at the beach but with the ability to use provided paddle boards and kayaks, she even has a stash of water shoes to choose from!
We really made use of the bikes and peddled into Grace Bay each morning. Once you get to the gate there are sidewalks all the way in to ride on.
We did cook in several nights and used the outdoor kitchen in the screen room, was like camping but better.
And the screen room....a must have for us. Nice to enjoy the outdoors without mosquitos!!
My husband loved the outdoor shower experience!
All I can say is you will not be dissapointed! We will be back!

Quiet piece of heaven
Just returned home from this great spot. The cottage is perfect; everything that was described in posting. Olga was very warm and caring. We pretty much lived on screened porch when we weren’t on the beach or by the pool. We made very good use of the bikes; we didn’t rent a car. It takes about 10 minutes to bike to IGA in town. Just a few minutes to Blue Haven. We also used paddle boards And kayaks daily. Olga kindly drove us to airport when we asked about a cab. I highly recommend. I did feel a little disconnected from the beach, but it was our first time not staying directly on beach. Great value compared to other vacay on TCI.

Wonderful Property
We had an amazing vacation and a big part of that was staying in this beautiful waterfront cottage in Leeward. Everything was as pictured, but only better. We truly enjoyed being right on the canal and having the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Olga was wonderful to work with and we highly recommend Casa Kohana to anyone who is looking for a private setting for their vacation.

This is a charming little cottage surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden.
Olga has made this cottage into a beautiful tropical get away with every amenity you could think of and makes you feel so welcomed. After following her well thought out directions to her property we were delighted to find a welcome gift of wine and chocolates. We arrived after dark and Olga directed us to a neighborhood eatery for a quick bite to eat and nice walk in the moon light. She made helpful suggestions on places to see and restaurants to try often. We were able to take advantage of all the extras she provides kayaking, biking, paddle boards, snorkels and beach equipment. Turks and Caicos is truly a paradise and Olga makes it more beautiful. We cannot thank her enough for making our Christmas vacation so memorable.

An Exceptional Trip; will definitely go back again!
I traveled alone for the first time just to get a little rest and relaxation and selected Olga and Alex's cottage based on the reviews I had read. Enjoyed using the paddle board and kayak each day going to the beach for a swim. I rented a car to get around the island, going to other beaches, grocery store and shops in Grace Bay. I always finished the day with a good swim in the pool before ending the day with a shower in the outdoor facility, which was beautiful! Twice, I took a shower under the full moon :) The cottage was beautiful, much prettier than the pictures, and just hanging out on the screened porch with a cup of coffee, book or crossword puzzle each morning was relaxing.
Now, onto the best part: Being alone on this trip made companions of Olga and me. Olga went WAY out of her way to make sure I was enjoying myself! She offered to take me on a tour of the special places to kayak/paddle board, and if she wasn't too tired after work, invited me to paddle board with her to the beach. I took her up on all these offers, including sharing a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers on the dock one evening. Olga was so giving and hospitable right down to letting me use her vacuum cleaner to clean the sand out of the rental car before returning it!
I truly feel my vacation was much more than it would have been because of Olga's friendliness and hospitality. She was respectful of my time alone but frankly, we clicked so well it was like finding a long-lost friend! I will definitely be back, next time will bring my family. Thank you Olga, for such a beautiful vacation memory!

A great place to start and end our day!
We stayed a week at Casa Kohana for our first trip to Turks and Caicos and it was perfect for us. Everything was so comfortable and just right for two people. We had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and easy. The location was great, close enough to get to everywhere easily but far enough away from the resorts that it felt private. We rented a car to explore as much of the island as possible which I would definitely recommend as there is so much to see and driving was easier than you'd think. The closest beach to the cottage is so nice and hardly anyone else was there most days. We snorkeled there and found it to be really good! We also went out on the kayaks one morning and saw turtles right off the dock on the back of the property. Away from the cottage we loved Sopadilla Beach the best, very clear and calm water, the prettiest I've ever seen. The Chalk Sound, near Sopadilla Beach is a sight to behold too.
All in all it was a great trip! Alex and Olga were the perfect hosts, there when we needed them but most of the time we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, which is why we like staying at places like this as opposed to big resorts. We felt for a short time that we lived in Turks and Caicos!

Casa Kohana is a peaceful retreat on a stunning inlet off the tourist path. We appreciated all the attention to detail in the design of the cottage. It was a perfect place for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We used the double and single kayaks, as well as the bikes. We kayaked to the beach and around Mangrove Cay. We rented a car, and explored the island. Our hosts were friendly, personable and assisted us with getting to know the island. They created a welcoming home to enjoy, with everything we needed and the privacy we wanted.

Excellent choice, couldn’t be more happy!!
Thank you Olga for your genuine hospitality. We enjoyed our stay at your cottage. It is absolutely perfect with the pool, canal access to the beaches, full kitchen, the screened in patio was so great for our mornings. Very spacious!! The outside private shower was so unique. You still have the privacy (foliage all around) as it is right outside the inside bathroom. The east end of the island has everything you need. Leeward is a gated Community. With this being our 3rd time to the island, we knew where we wanted to go. And I think we now have a “new” favorite beach!! The very east end of grace bay... Princess Alexandra National Park/Beach.
