It’s all about the little things, and this property didn’t disappoint. It was a well priced and central located family home, but what set it apart was the amenities you don’t often see anymore. There was multiple snacks that my three kids LOVED, a fully stocked coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar, individually wrapped make-up remover wipes, salt bath crystals, children’s books to read, a garage FULL of any vacation needs… it was honestly perfect for our little family. On top of all that, the hosts were very kind and welcoming. Don’t hesitate to book!

We were very happy with out choice to stay at this location. We had plenty of space for all of us. We were happy with the location as it was close to most of the things we were planingn on doing. Very clean and well taken care of home. We will definitely use this house again on our next trip.

You are in for a treat when booking this rental! The process was seamless and the owners were incredibly attentive and helpful! The home had all of the amenities of home with some extra touches! There are books for the kids, board games, beach toys, and more! We loved our stay and are looking forward to another trip out to San Diego.

and you need a place to stay in San Diego, I would hands down recommend Serenity Pointe. I personally found out that weddings are stressful even when there are only 10 in attendance. Serenity Pointe and the hosts, Vernay and Mi’kal, made the experience much less stressful. Six of us stayed at Serenity Pointe and enjoyed having a haven to come "home" to. We relaxed in the hot tub, chatted around the patio fire pit on cool nights, cooked all our meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and rested at night on one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. Every detail at Serenity Pointe is well thought out. For example, everything is documented and labeled for easy use. Laundry is convenient along with a nice little exercise room in the garage. Vernay and Mi’kal have a keen attention to detail which is reflected in Serenity Pointe. We loved our stay and our daughter's wedding went off without a hitch at Sunset Cliffs. Memories were made that will never be forgotten at Serenity Pointe.

Holiday time during Covid is just so bleak- so this quaint and quiet getaway was just what my little family of four needed. First and foremost the hosts, Vernay and Mi’kal, we’re hands down the best with their lightning speed communication. Every question was answered thoughtfully and made our stay so comfortable. The festive Christmas tree set up was perfect for my 6-yr-old and 4-yr-old to still feel some sense of holiday cheer! The arrival gift basket was a perfect touch. The home was lovely and relaxing, with all the amenities needed to enjoy our stay. Three bedrooms was more than enough space for us, feeling spoiled with a TV in each room! The highlight was definitely the beautiful backyard oasis- jacuzzi with a propane fire pit, perfect for cozy nights outside with s’more making fun! Oh, and if we preferred a warm night indoors, there was an electric fireplace to keep us warm in the living room. So many lovely touches to this place - we would love to come back! Thank you again for making our stay so wonderful!!! (Another detail that did not go unnoticed was the cleaning crew that arrived so promptly as we were finalizing our luggage to drive off- masked and had all cleaning supplies ready to safely provide the next guests a lovely and safe stay!)

We have stayed at numerous VRBO’s which we have found to be very relaxing. While your home had many nice features and convenient details which made finding things easy, we found it extremely difficult to relax. For the sake of brevity, I will list the issues here: SAFETY/LACK OF SERENITY. Neighborhood was NOT in a nice and clean area. • Shocked driving through the neighborhood to the VRBO. Felt misled, angry, and VERY disappointed. It states on VRBO site that you “Purchased this property because it was located in a nice, clean, & quiet area.” • We asked one of our daughter’s boyfriend to join us for dinner and his father wouldn’t allow him to come. (His dad is a cop and knows the area) • We are a very active family and we had planned on taking walks/runs in and around the area. We have done this at every other property we have stayed at. We did not feel safe or inclined to do so. ENTRANCE/EXIT OF NEPHEW ON SAME PROPERTY. • We have 4 daughters and we are protective of them. It was not clear that your nephew would be crossing paths with us when we made reservations. While I’m sure he is a good young man it felt very uncomfortable to us and we were actually surprised seeing someone come and go. Wasn’t sure who it was at first-so I was alarmed! (This wasn’t read by me in your guidebook until the day after this happened.) • It is important to let your guests know this before the time of reservation, not when they arrive so they can freely make this decision as to whether or not they are comfortable with this set up. MISC ISSUES • Ice machine on fridge broken • Water temperature very difficult to find a comfortable temperature in both showers/baths. • Shower in MBR needs a glass door not a shower curtain. Every time someone showered water spilled outside the curtain as the lip of the entrance too low. (we put towels down to protect the tile) • Shower curtain/curtain rod fell on husband as he entered shower. • Jacuzzi water was discolored and looked dirty. This is noticeable when jets are off. • Dirt/dust on/in jacuzzi. • Insect repellent needed outside (candle) You have a lovely home and we especially enjoyed the backyard where our family could relax together. We also really appreciated the accessibility of the highchair, stroller, games, and jacuzzi towels! Thank you for the personal welcome with snacks and cold-water bottles.
