We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days in this historical city. If you are looking for an apartment in the older part of Alfama at a bargain price, then this is the place for you. Fully equipped clean apartment.. plenty of room for 2 people. Close to many restaurants and little stores. As are most rentals in Alfama, it was a little hard to find the apartment on foot (streets are too narrow for vehicles) but the people are friendly and a gentleman helped with our luggage and took us to our door. Another plus was having a washing machine in our apartment.... hanging out clothes to dry off the veranda as the locals do was fun. The owner Luis came by on our last day and helped us with our luggage to the square where we proceeded to get an Uber to our next stop in Portugal.

The only negative thing for us was the stairs going to our apartment on the second floor. If I didn't have mobility issues with my knee, I wouldn't complain.

A real feel of the old town living! The apartment is in the heart of Alfama, a few minutes away from the Sé de Lisboa and Miradouro de Santa Luzia (great view over the city and the river!) and a walking distance to Praça do Comércio. The apartment is nicely decorated, comfy, and has all the needed amenities. There's a small grocery store not far from the house. We enjoyed our stay in Lisbon!

Not a complaint, just wanted to mention it: be aware that taxis are not allowed to enter some areas of Alfama, including the one where the house is. Our taxi stopped near the Fado museum and then it took around 3 min to get there on foot. The area is hilly, there are stairs. We haven't had heavy bags, so for us, it wasn't an issue.

The apartment was comfortable and easy to find. The location was easy to access and not halfway up a steep hill. We found most things we needed and the owners/staff were really kind.

The couch was not particularly comfortable, with hard beams you could not avoid. The clean towels smelt like cigarettes (they were likely dried outside and it was unavoidable, but as nonsmokers it was off-putting). We felt like it could be cleaned with more attention to detail. Between the shower tiles and below the bedroom window had spots of black mold.

We only ended up in this apartment because the one we booked couldn't accommodate us in the end (same manager). After the initial disappointed we were actually very happy with this place. The place was relatively calm, pretty clean and it's in a great location. The bed was pretty comfy.

You have to count on certain things..the place isn't too big (but plenty big for 2 people) but that comes with the location. And you have to be prepared to climb some steps, there's quite some stairs outside and in the house. The house stairs are not great. But all an all a 60 y.o. person in a good shape didn't have too much of a problem.

Apartment is super cosy, great location in heart of Alfama people and local fun, great value for money.

Very comfortable, little apartment in a top location. Many sightseeing spots and delicious and charming restaurants are just around the corner. The host, Luis, is very obliging and very uncomplicated. Everything was absolutely clean and conformtable. We had a very nice time and would recommend the apartment.

It was a faultless stay in beautiful Alfama. The apartment is cosy, comfortable, charming and well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. I especially appreciated the little touches such as cushions for the sofa and a nice blanket for the cooler months. It was all self check in and easy, and the host was flexible with check out too.

Nothing really. Just be aware that it's an old building, so everything is quite compact. The bathroom is certainly very small if that matters to you.

The apartment is in the middle of Alfama, so you can just go outside and enjoy the Heart of Lissabon. The apartment was clean and comfortable, perfect place to stay in Lissabon.

Great location in the center of Alfama. The host is very pleasant and helpful.

The bed was extremely comfortable and both the living space and the bedroom had air conditioning which was very useful. The television with sky channels was a bonus and the living area was a nice place to sit and relax.

The bathroom is extremely small and the kitchen does not have an oven. The balcony is only a Juliette balcony so even though the advert boasts a balcony you cannot sit out on it. The steps up to the property are extremely steep and the hand rails are not steady. The steps put me off coming and going to the property so I stayed out as long as I could before going back.

Nice little apartment, in pitoresque old Alfama neighborough. It is close to the cathedral and other sites in Old Town centre.

The bathroom is very small, I can't imagine people taller than 180cm to be able to squeez in. Also there were some moulds spots in the edge of the shower. The dishes were not cleaned properly. Also be aware, that the a access to this place in a bit difficult, the taxi can't get close, as the streets are very narrow and closed for nonresidents. So you have to climb several steps up or even more down from the main streets. Also the stairs in the house are more like a ladder, as it is an old building. So if you have heavy luggage or are not physicaly fit, maybe another place would be better. Otherwise all was fine, the host was very cooperative and nice.

The apartment is located in the old town of Lisbon. Easy access to explore the city. You can walk to a lot of view points and its near the river too. I like the french balcony in the living room. The host is also very nice. I think he tried to make up my disappointment because I found the apartment was not cleaned properly.

I guess I have high expectations when I saw the rating of this apartment (9.0) on booking.com. In general, the street in Alfama is very narrow and confusing. So I got lost when I tried to find this apartment. The apartment is not accessible via car. You need to walk from the main street. I stayed here for 2 weeks. This place does not have lift (because its in an old neighborhood), so it was quite tough for me to carry my big suitcase all the way to the 2nd floor (see pict of the stairs attached). When I arrived, the sofa was dusty. The bathroom was very small. If you are more than 1.8 m, it would be difficult for you to take a shower. The shower ceiling is low. You will also find lots of mold in the bathroom. Also I slept on the sofa during my stay because the bed was hard. I had a back pain and the room is just dark. Also I didn’t want to go near the bedroom window because I found lots of flies (see picture).

Great position, in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon's historic neighbourhood. The centre is only 15 minutes away on foot, even closer by tramway. It's a great little flat with lots of light during the day. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a fast internet connection. We found it clear and tidy. Luis, the owner, was extremely easy to get along with and made things really easy for us - we booked the flat at the last minute, and less than two hours later we were inside.

We have no negative comments about this flat.

The apartment is located in the iconic Barrio Alto, we had frequent contact with our host Luis, he was very kind and always checking in on us making sure that we had everything we needed. The apartment was cosy and clean.
