Quiet location, cozy room, and warm host.

Mike was a wonderful host, kind, accommodating and helpful! The rooms were spotless, comfortable and equipped with everything a traveler would need. I'm not sure which view was more spectacular from the bedroom or the sitting room both incredible. It was a scenic and short walk to the lovely village. We enjoyed Tweedle's so much for dinner we went back for breakfast. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy the lake county and look forward to another visit and stay at the Chestnut Villa. Thank you Mike and staff! ;)

The room on the top floor was an excellent place to stay - light, spacious, clean, and with a comfortable bed. The westward-facing view over the mountains was stunning. Mike was a superb host who went out of his way to be helpful.
No breakfast was included, but we were happy to receive a discount at a café in town (about a 15 minutes walk away from the guesthouse).

Breakfast was very good...paid for separately as not included. Both my wife and I were very impressed with the upgrade on our room.and the location was excellent. Hats off to Mike the owner. Top notch with absolutely stunning views, we would both highly recommend visiting.
Nothing we were very well cared for, clean towels every day, and the tea and coffee supplies were also replenished every day.

Flexible self check in was fantastic, as we were checking in so late. Mike was a great host, super knowledgeable about the area with lots of great recommendations! Location was great as it was a short walk to the centre of Grasmere & the cafe in town is a great place for brunch. We'll be back!

We was given a room upgrade free of charge. The room and on suite bathroom was spacious and clean with a stunning deep bath and large shower. The lady who welcomed us was very attentive and made us an excellent full English and salmon on toast the following day.
We can't fault our stay we loved it.

The lovely large room with views of the surrounding fells from both the front and back windows. The separate sitting room area. The decor - Quality fittings and Retro touches whilst maintaining the character. Great shower - bathrobes supplied. Enjoyed the breakfast with vegetarian options. Just a very short walk into Grasmere centre. Many Thanks to Mike and his Mum.
Nothing comes to mind- only stayed one night as last minute decision for New Years Eve and 2 rooms became available so assume they were cancellations. Would not usually pay such a high price but it was NYE and Popular location in the Lakes so was expected and we wanted a bit of luxury as usually stay in our camper van!

What a lovely place! We booked last minute and were not expecting to get such a wonderful place to stay. The room was stunning, it felt cosy and homely, yet still luxurious and modern. The whole place was immaculate and the hosts were incredibly friendly. The location is perfect for walking from and so close to the centre of Grasmere. We would 100% recommend this B&B to any one going to the lakes and we will hopefully be back in the near future.

Had a great stay at Chestnut Villa. We stayed in the upstairs suite. It was spacious, well appointed and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was delicious too!

All went very well. I've stayed there before with my wife 7-8 years ago now. It was great then and even better now. Great breakfast, very peaceful and relaxing and extremely well hosted. It was just perfect and I'll be back and be recommending it to everyone I know.

Chestnut Villa is an Excellent hidden gem we loved every moment of our stay from the first step inside to leaving. We were greeted by Mike who was so friendly and helpful thruout our 2 night stay. Room was excellent and extremely clean amd huge, the shower head was sparkling, no dust on furniture and the bedding was white,fresh and clean everything you needed was in there, and quality tasteful furniture/coffee machine etc. Breakfast was beautiful lots of choices. The breakfast room is beautifully decorated. Set in a stunning peaceful location on the edge of Grasmere. Can't wait to visit again and defo recommend

First of all the room is soo much nicer in real life than in the pictures! Very spacious, comfy bed and sofa and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The views from the patio are gorgeous and the guesthouse is in stunning location surrounded by mountains and only 10 minute walk to a lovely village with shops etc. By the way the village has a lovely coffee shop called Mike and his mom were both absolutely lovely and always had a smile on their faces. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Even the rain could not wipe the smile of my face. Thank you for a lovely break, we will be back in the summer xx
