Very nice place (not the cleanest, but passable), great location, great amenities, i.e., hot tub, firepit, pool table, foosball table, swing set for the kids. No board games. We enjoyed our stay.

Easy to book and Candace was very quick to answer any questions . We enjoyed our weekend and there was room for everyone. We would like to come again when warmer to use outdoor play area and fire pit

House was the perfect size for 10 adults. Enough room for all of us to have our own spot to sleep. Nice and clean. Plenty of yard games.

Had no major issues with the place. The grill was left pretty dirty, but we dealt with it. The description says the driveway fits 6 cars, but if you squeeze you could fit 9-10, which was helpful for us since we had people coming from all over.

This house was perfect for our group. It had enough space for adults and kids. Everything in the house was working well such as hot tub, all the kitchen appliances, fire place, etc. House was clean and neat, even though a bit outdated… we would definitely consider staying there again!

The cabin was nice and spacious, warm and cozy. Had everything you needed plus comfies of home.

The location of this house is fabulous. We had two families here for a ski trip. It is a short drive to Jack Frost or Big Boulder. and walking distance to the lake and Split Rock.
The house is quite large, and has a great floor plan for being social. While not high end, the kitchen is well stocked with place settings, glasses, utensils for both eating and cooking. The gas fireplaces are a nice touch and worked great. Laundry is in the kitchen and worked well. The hot tub was also great. It worked well, and was nice after a day of skiing. It is also a great place to watch deer. It has a large yard so you have good space from the neighbors.
However, you need to be able to look past that the house is a bit dated and worn, and could use more attention to cleaning. The family room couch is pretty beat up, though still comfortable (besides one arm.) The grout in some of the showers is far from white. There were some obvious things under the beds you could see without getting down on your knees that didn’t get cleaned from previous guests. We had to re-wash a lot of the pots and pans before using them.
There are only spiral staircases in the house, though you can get to the main level from the outside via regular stairs. This wasn't an issue for us - our kids thought they were cool. The house has tons of beautiful windows, which are great for the views and wildlife spotting. Be aware that most of them don’t have window coverings. We never felt like it was a privacy problem since you are distant from the neighbors, but it is bright in the morning.
We got linens with our rental, and the bed were all made when we got there and an adequate number of towels. However, linens didn't include ones for the futons. We asked and they didn’t have them, so we had to make shift a solution.
The property manager is responsive. There was no dishwashing detergent and two of the bathrooms barely had any toilet paper (so little they ran out after the first use.) The property manager brought us dishwashing detergent, but said only one roll of toilet paper and paper towels was included, so we had to go get toilet paper ourselves. If you are staying for a few days, I’d recommend bringing a roll of each with you.
If you are looking for a big house in a great location with a hot tub, this checks those boxes. If the house being worn, dated or not sparkling clean would be a major drawback from your trip, you may want to keep looking.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our group of sixteen. We had eight teenage boys and they enjoyed all the amenities of the house. The boys had plenty of space on the top floor to stretch out after two long days of snowboarding. The property manager was great - he delivered sheets and made the beds in advance of our arrival and when we had a small issue with one of the fireplaces he came right over and fixed it. The reviews we read about the house being a little dated are accurate, but overall the place was great for our group and we would return.

Our family of of 16 spent a comfy and cozy Thanksgiving here. We cooked the big meal, enjoyed our time together, and the home was able to accommodate all of us very well. Other reviews mention that some upgrades would be an improvement – I'd agree, however the cost is reasonable and there was nothing that prevented us from having a good time. In terms of communication, Bruce was very responsive to every message we sent – he brought by a bag of salt after it snowed one evening and even went out of his way to mail us an item we left behind. Thanks for a nice holiday!

House needs some repairs, good cleaning and new living room furniture. Backyard was our favorite place to hang out. We got lucky with the weather. House is spacious and comfortably accommodated 15 people. Bruce, property manager was very responsive and helpful to every need we had. Overall we had a good stay. Thank you

Getting things handled leading up to our stay went quite smoothly. I thought the place was a little on the “beat up” side and a little dirty. Previous renters (or owners) left a lot in the fridge and in cupboards and we weren’t sure what we could and couldn’t use. Location was nice, but I am. It sure I would stay in the property again, if we came back to Lake Harmony.

The house is very big. Lots of room for our group of 10 Adults / 6 Children.
Negatives: Was little taken aback that there was old food and things left behind in the cabinets. Also the grills were very dirty. Spent some time cleaning off old food. The septic system was full too so it started to overflow in yard and the smell was a bit much. But that was not by any fault of the property owner. Just one of those things that happen unfortunately.
Positives: We had a big group and there was more than enough room for everyone. The owners have a lot of little extras. Our grandkids enjoyed the swingset, making smores at the fire pit. It rained one day so the ping pong and pool table came in handy for sure. Several of our adults enjoyed the hot tub. If you like the woods and seeing wildlife. Great location. Our grandkids were very excited seeing deer everyday. The water was too rough so we couldn't take advantage of using the canoe. But it was nice "extra" for sure. The owners do offer alot of activities for both children and adults. They were very easy to deal with. Lots of directions and information was given. Our family all seemed to emjoy our stay.

Plenty of room. Kids loved swing set. Hot tub clean and ready to go.
Plenty of passes for nearby lake beach. Quiet location. Property was a little tired but clean and comfy.

I hesitate to write this review, as my mother always told me, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then you shouldn’t say anything at all.” Unfortunately, I do not have nice things to say about this rental, however, I feel as if I should make others aware of what they are facing should they choose to rent this property. When we arrived at the property, there was a distinct odor in the house. Fortunately this odor, a rather musty smell, was confined primarily to the lower level. Given that two of the bedrooms are located on this level, I agreed to take one of those two bedrooms to allow the other guests to breath easy. The home was reasonably well kept, however, not extremely clean and tidy as one might expect. There are three bathrooms in the home and each contained probably one half of a roll of toilet paper each. When we texted the property manager to ask if there were additional rolls somewhere in the house, we did not receive any response. Even a response of “No”, would have been acceptable, however, no response is not something I am used to when renting property. The lawn had not been mowed, which was not a huge deal, however, it is something to be noted. The biggest issue with this property is however, its location in relation to the “beach”. We were told that the property is about 1000 feet from the beach (a short walk). Although this MAY be a true statement, it is not really very accurate. Although the property may be 1000 feet from A beach, it is not 1000 feet from THE beach that renters are allowed to utilize. When we walked down to the beach that is about 1000 feet from the property, we were quickly approached by security and told that that beach is a private beach and that the beach we were allowed to use was down the road. The ACTUAL BEACH that renters are allowed to use is probably approximately a mile from the property location (not really an easy walk for my 70+ year old mother or the children (as young as 7 years old) that we had on our trip. I think saying that the beach is 1000 feet away is very misleading, since we were not allowed to actually use that beach. I also believe that when you rent a property, that it should be clean, odor free, and that you should be able to reach an owner or property manager should you have a question.

This house was great for a big group. It was nice that everyone could have their own bedrooms and there were three bathrooms. The house was exactly as pictured. Great experience renting here!

Booked this place for my birthday weekend with a group of 10 friends and it was perfect for us. Plenty of cozy bed space for a large group, lots of fun indoor and outdoor games and activities to keep us entertained. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. We needed new propane for the grill and Bruce was there in a half hour with a fresh tank and always on call for any questions. Would definitely rent this place again for a Poconos getaway!

First, it's in a great location, its a beautiful cabin and everything is easy to find and use. So, there was a LARGE cleaning fee they added to the property after I booked it... okay, I can deal, but slightly annoyed. Much less important note, they asked us to vacuum but the vacuum they left hardly worked at all. There were no linens! No towels, no pillowcases, no bedsheets. For a large cleaning fee that wasn't in my original price you don't have linens and you ask to vacuum? AND not having linens is not listed in the notes before you book! That's messed up.
***So, if you plan on staying here, call ahead and see if they provide linens and what they will be extra.***

Some buddies and I stayed at this house for the weekend to celebrate his engagement. Peaceful area with a beautiful house to stay in! Candace was quick to help when the wifi was not working and had it fixed within the half hour.

The house is big and roomy. Lots of space for a blow up bed if someone does not want to share a bed. Location is great. I love that there is a bathroom on each level. Didn't use the hot tub though. Concerns: No kitchen supplies for the oven so I could not use the oven. There were some damages and broken things that concerned me because I did not want the owner to think I did it. I wish they told me about it before I got there so I wouldn't worry the whole time. However, I had a great time. Communication prior to my stay was great. I probably would stay there again.

Renting this property gave our family an opportunity to come together and enjoy the snow as well as each other. The house was big enough to give our family the space needed to somewhat social distance. At meal time, the size of the tables were perfect to fit our family of 10 with room. We certainly took advantage of the hot tub. It was so relaxing at night:just beautiful. We also got to enjoy the fire pit. Sure we had to clear a snow path and the chairs and fire pit of all the snow...but we had lots of snow...it was worth it we got to walk on the snow covered lake harmony. The kids really enjoyed that (all ages of us). Some family went sledding down the old bunny hill behind the water park. Truly enjoyed it. Some of us took a horse-drawn sleigh ride and others a horseback ride on a farm less then 25 mts away. Awesome!Candace kept in touch with us and gave us several pointers and ideas. Thank you! We really enjoyed our long weekend in the mountains.

Great location to hit Jack Frost and Bog Boulder. Lack of tv on main level was a shock at first, but I think it was actually a good thing because we chatted, ate meals and played games without the tv distracting us.

Part 1 We stayed for a week and our numbers varied a lot day to day, but at the max we had 15 and there was plenty of room and everyone had a bed. I would stay here again if we had a large group again for Christmas. I am also curious to see what it’s like here in the summer. It was pretty quiet during December (which we liked), but I bet it’s hopping during the summer months. The lake area was less than a mile from the house and it looked really beautiful. Description of house: Bottom floor entry has kitchenette (beer fridge, micro, sink, cabinets) leather sectional, table for four, pool/ping pong table, large TV (not HD) gas fireplace, BR with double bed and futon (futon is right next to bed so when open it takes up the whole room. I was tempted to move it to the living room.) ¾ bath, and BR with queen bed (wedged into room so can’t walk around it fully). Second floor has full kitchen with washer/dryer, dining room table for 6 (there is a fold up table in closet we used to make seating for all of us), ¾ bathroom, BR with double bed, BR with queen bed, dining room, and leather sectional with gas fireplace. Top floor has futons and twins in open room with foosball, and master with king bed, bathroom on that floor is full. There is a mini pool table downstairs and a hot tub outside. A few used the hot tub and enjoyed it.

Rented this home for a friend's birthday party...nice location, nice house, the owners are very communicative. Horse Shoe Pit, Hot Tub, Wrap around deck and grill all very nice. AC in every room, equipped kitchen with a new fridge! I did feel like the place could be a little cleaner but other than that I would highly recommend this place. 2 minute drive from the late or 15 minute walk. Fire Pit was the best, my friends and I sat around it every night making smores and hanging out.

There were a total of 14 of us (8 adults and 6 kids) and we all had a great time. The chalet was in close proximity to Jack Frost and we enjoyed the Split Rock water park. There was plenty of room for all of us and the older kids enjoyed sleeping together in the loft. As most of us are biologist, we loved all the turkeys and deer. The kids spent the mornings looking out the window for them. The hot tub was also a great bonus and some of us could have spent all night in it. Thanks for the great weekend on such short notice.

This was our first time in the Poconos and we were very pleased. Candace was extremely helpful with all of my questions. I have to be honest the pictures on this site do not do this house justice-you must see in person. We were extremely happy with the location as well. My entire family enjoyed our stay and I look forward to going back! Thanks again Candace!

Dear Candace,
We found the Chalet to be a perfect gathering spot for our families to celebrate, laugh and enjoy all the amenities (pool table, ping pong & foos ball within. Plenty of sleeping space, very pet friendly and nice kitchen area on the wonderful second floor. Photos captured the essence of the chalet and we were not disappointed. One very minor drawback was the grill; very poor condition.
Our families look forward to returning to Lake Harmony. Thank you for sharing with us.

Dear Candace,
In behalf of my spouse, daughter, her husband and our grandchildren, we wanted to express our sincere gratitude for our third vacation of five wonderful days and four nights spent at your Lake Harmony, PA Chalet. We truly enjoyed the spacious 2nd floor kitchen, dining and living rooms; AC, beyond adequate bedrooms and bathrooms. We looked forward to wrap around deck with picnic tables and BBQ grill used for 3 dinners, spent hours in upstairs loft at Fooseball table, and downstairs recreation room with pool/ping pong table. We relaxed in jacuzzi, new firepit for Smores, and quite scenery with roaming deer.
In addition, we enjoyed local activities at Split Rock Resobrt to canoe and Miniature Golf, rock climbing and trail walking nearby PA State park, visit to historic town of Jim Thorpe, PA, Piggy's and Shennigan's Resaurants for breakfast and dinner.
In closing, we had a wonderful and memorable vacation at your Lake Harmony, PA Chalet and look forward to return next year 2013. Thank you, Candace.
Warmest Regards,
MM SFuoco and Family

We were in a large group with our kids on Spring Break that started on Good Friday. I arrived along with another friend and family in the afternoon and the rest of the folks reached later that evening. Candace was gracious and let us check-in early on Friday. The kids enjoyed the game room while the adults were on the second floor. After dinner we all including kids played charades and game of bingo. The weather worked so much in favor that Saturday morning and we played cricket in the driveway, though most of the adults were playing after a long time but it was nostalgia of our childhood days. We spotted herd of deer and wild turkey in the yard. The kids enjoyed the hot tub despite the fact that it was cold in the evening and kids also had great day at Split Rock Water park.
Overall a great weekend and I would recommend this vacation chalet to anyone looking for a getaway. Once again Candace thank you for the wonderful weekend!

My family and I rented this property for NewYear's. We had 6 adults, 4 kids and 1 dog. The place was perfect. There is an upstairs loft with a tv for the kids to play. A middle section with kitchen, eating and sitting area. Downstairs had a tv,pool table and hot tub outside. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all. The location was excellent since it was only a 5 minute drive to Big Boulder where we spent the day skiing and tubing. We saw deer and wild turkey in the yard. The kids even enjoyed the hot tub despite the fact that it was 10 degrees and snowing.

Thanks Candace, your the best. My friends and I LOVED the house. One day> there were at least 12 doe/deer walking right next to the house. It wasso> beautiful!
